Phyllis M | Expérience généraleLet me firstly be clear that my experience was no reflection on Madison, her staff or business. She helped my immensely with my situation where I was told from the booking agent that I could store my car and belongings there which was false. Madison promptly told me where I could go to store my car. Secondly PLEASE update your your booking staff on locations that have proper storage, also upgrade the network to reflect those changes daily and that malfunctioning app was a headache and needs proper testing before the next update is released. Also the self storage facility should have one person onsite during business hours instead of the clients and I having to call the help line and drive over to another location to get help. Thirdly I was put on hold several times and transferred out of province twice and once out of the city which was frustrating. But your staff online and off line are very friendly and accommodating and got me where I was going. Thank you for the eventful experience. I truly mean that.

My items git placed on the street I lost valuables. Now the unit is not easy accessible as requested, I can nit drive to door as was mentioned. Plus UT looks smaller than expected & I won't be able ti load all my items as representative stated area was large enough 5-6 rooms. No one can help me promptly.
Jijuana L | Premières impressionsU-Haul staff was suppose to reach out about my rental concerning my storage as well as my truck rental because I was extremely unconvinced during my truck rental due being locked out of the facility. Then when my husband I went back and spoke to the facility the next morning the manager gave us a code to use. Once at the facility we were unable to get into the unit due the unit being locked shut. I then had to spend more time trying to get in contact with the facility to try to get another unit for 30 to 45mins. Causing me to waste more time. Then the manager who I finally spoke with said I help you with this issues and then once I figure it out I'll call you back. No ever contacted me at all but to ask when I would be bringing the rental back. This was a truly bad extreme. I hope you all get better with customer service. I as well had to deal with water all over the facility that i could have possibly fell in.

Anicia B | Premières impressionsi was very unhappy when i found out they sold my unit i had a reservation for out from under me when i took the time to do the right thing and then be forced to take two units split apart from each other which has made the move much harder than it should have been. the only thing that worked in your favor was the young lady at the front desk that was very professional and keep me from losing my mind.

Gary D | Premières impressionsThe UHaul 43920 north gratiot Mt Clemens Michigan office staff was nice but they failed to give us the keys to the lock of the storage room 214, they only gave us an Access Card to get on to the property but NO keys to the unit. We were stuck outside after hours with a UHaul truck that was packed and late and we got charged late because of the incompetency. Our landlord needed us out of the house asap and now that ran late too. So it affected it is in more than one way.

But yet like i uhaul completely took off the storage unit they charged me for the month of may . But like i said took off and took my keeys . then i Gets 2 emails back to back saying in one thag yall refund the money then on the same receipt that yall took it and my rent was good until may 24th . But yet like I said before. You took the storage unit completely off my account minus refunded the money back I'm in titled too .

Megan P | Expérience généraleAside from the parking lot needing maintenance of the holes which caused to lose out on 5 weeks of pay due to not being able to work after injuring myself in the parking when stepping out of my uhaul truck. I wasn't expecting their to be holes in the parking lot as it's a newer facility. Also it says 24hr access, well when I rented my unit I wasn't originally informed that apparently you need to pay extra for that and I went off the Big letters on the outside of the building that says 24hr access.....not the fine print on the door/sign that explains otherwise, and when you're under the stress of moving you don't always notice that.

My only issue with this location is I needed my gate code one evening because I forgot it and no one was there to assist me including the 800 number I called 1-800 go U-Haul and I couldn't get assistance on getting my gate code had to return the truck that I had rented without ever making the move which in turn caused me to go with a different company for storage, otherwise it was great. When I dial the number at the main location it kept transferring me to the 800 number. Overall storing there was wonderful just an issue with after hours.

It is the worst system I have ever dealt with no one answered so the voice mail said I would be called back in 20 mins over 2 and half hours then the person on the phone e mailed the manager that no longer works there .so no follow up. Had to take my lunch drive there to get taken care of. The manager that I met friday did take good care of me . Thanks David

U-Haul Rep was able to cancel van order, but was not able to cancel storage unit. Invoice indicated a move in by mistake of staff. Never entered gated area. No use for storage after van rental was cancelled. Arrived home. On hold 30-40 mins only to be told that store mgr will contact me next day which was Monday 4/4/22. No call. No response to email x's 2. Unable to reach by ph. 119,95 not retired my acct. Never occupied unit. Never entered gate. This should not be this difficult. Very disappointed. Never had these kind of problems using g U-Haul.

The only issue we encountered is that we were not told that the storage unit was an interior unit located down a hallway and eventually down another hallway. We assumed that it would be a unit we could back our U-Haul up to and unload. Because of this, it took more time and we needed more help then anticipated. Other then that, the process was totally painless!

This would help with the trash-if I am loading up my car/tuck/trailer of things and HAVE NO ROOM to take my trash with me-where can it go? I understand not having one on outside of the gated area as that can be used by ANYONE but there should be one on site. Also the times I went there there was alot of things in the free area. Thats fine but after coming to a unit over the course of 4-5 days that pile of trash did not move. Maybe a weekly pick up of free/broken furniture( again if there was a dumpster or area for broken items to go it would be helpful)
Michael B | Expérience généraleThe storage units SHOULD HAVE LIGHTS INSIDE. Paying $150 should be more then enough to install lights inside the units. In addition, the unites should be air tight so dust and outside grace would no get in the units. It was amazing the amount of DUST and GRASS were inside my unit. You charge too much for such thing to be happening. Would NOT rent again or recommend for the reasons above

Checked-in for the first time at 6PM, and did not have a clear list of instructions on how to gain access, fortunately other customers were on-site and able to provide direction. The access code provided to my email only worked on the main gate and check in key pad, but the same code did not work to provide access to the building, I kept receiving the access denied alert on key pad #2.

Jason Z | Déménagement en ligneI did my reservations online for an enclosed trailer and an outside rollup storage. 1st of all online screwed my reservations up 100 %. When I showed up I anticipated a total amount of 26 due. Which was to pay for the trailer rental and I was to get 1st months rent free on storage. Well that's not what happened. I walked in just before my appointment time at 8:30. The reservation had changed to an open trailer utility trailet rental and my months free rent sissapeared. I didn't end up renting the trailer or a ball for my hitch because i had to pay 117 to move into a storGe unit ACROSS TOWN AT A DIFFERENT FACILITY. THEREFORE I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO RENT THE ENCLOSED TRAILER FOR PICKUP OF 2 COUCHES FOR MY UPHOLSTERY SHOP. NOW WHEN I MADEVTHIS RESERVATION IT WAS BECAUSE I NEEDED THE TRAILER AND NOT NECESSARILY THE STORge unit. Now onto the gate problems. Gate card did not work on my 1st trip to deliver one of the two couches BECAUSE NOW i had to make 2 separate trips to pickup and deliver 2 couches because i DID NOT GET THE TRAILER I ORIGINALLY RENTED. Anyway the gate card wasn't working amd i jad to sit and wait for an employee to show up from gratiot location to open the gate. Then drive back to that location to get my card working again. At that time the storage managers gave me also a key fob. When I returned to the north river road storage overglow for the 2nd couch delivery... MY CARD AND KEY FOB DID NOT WORK AGAIN.

David WI made a reservation when I got there with all of my belongings from Chicago they told me that they didn't have a storage unit available. I was told I had to go to a completely different facility in charge 30 more dollars a month. I will make sure that I spread the word never uses the Facility to all of my friends and family

JOANN IHad a problem picking up my rental at an unmanned facility. It was taken care of (after about an hour delay). Also was charged a gasoline fee when I brought the vehicle back with the same amount of fuel that was in it upon pick up. That was resolved also. I must admit I probably had something to do with both issues... All in all, things went okay

gordon i | Expérience généraleThe Phone retrieval experience was a little daunting. Because you didn't know what to expect at each of the next steps, it was a bit confusing. For example, we backed the van into the parking spot and then had to pull it out to take a picture of the cargo area. Plus, before we went to pick up, I knew I would need my phone but did NOT know that there would be no person there to ask questions of. That would be helpful to know. The check in process was a bit glitchy. Website very slow.
