Poor communication. No one answers the phone, then it transfers to a call center, they can't help you. They try to call the local branch and it routes back to the call center. They send an email asking them to call you, no one ever calls. The only way to get any response it to drive to the location, wait in line, and ask in person.

cynthia c | Expérience généraleSomehow my account kept going to autopay. This happened twice in a year. Making me bounce in my checking. So that's $80 I'll never get back. Calling the main number to tell them my payment would be late did me no good. Nothing was noted. I only got help by calling the local office who sometimes couldn't pick up bc of staff issues. When I would get ahold of them most of time they helped. Other times with a guy he never put it in the computer. Paid my storage late several times. But even after paying late and local office knew it, I would go and an additional lock would still be on my unit. Then they couldn't send anyone out bc they didn't have the staff. It the person on call wouldn't pick up. This happened several times. Where's my money for the gas I spent going there and not getting in??? So in the long run, this unit costs me way more than the price!!!

The place it's self has been scary people living inside units, throwing parties, open our storage gate and a loud alarm goes off EVERY TIME !!!!, and then the gate would not open one evening with our code I was calling every number I could find online but some random person put a code in for me to get out. If I need a storage again I'll only use one where your office is occupied.

The difference was night and day, prior to U-Haul running the place I am pretty sure there were at least a couple people living out of storage units. That was cleaned up quickly once U-Haul took over. My experience was smooth and easy I would absolutely use U-Haul again as well as recommend them to anyone.

Your manager is incompetent and rarely there. I know because I was thereby seek help and he was not there. This has been the WORST experience I have had. POOR service and I believe this was an "inside" job.

The staff did not seem knowledgeable and I had to call the 1-800 number myself to get answers to relay to staff. Customers were turned away due to the inability to access the computer.

bob v | Expérience généraleThe general manager was the robo cop she gave me until 6pm to get out and wrote this in a contract n she broke it she locked me out at 330 n went home came back at 630'i asked staff what i was supposed to do an she said i cant unlock it she took the key and went home for the day well I asked then to txt her she didnt respond and then they went thru and stole well over half my unit they tried to say because of my history they had the right i am now getting legal counsel to sew then for breaking my small business theifs

I was able to complete the process online but would rather speak to someone in person. I have rented with uhaul in the past and have had no issues.

You have trash blowing everywhere and dumpster area was always a mess. I received a bolt in my tire from driving to my unit. What a horrible place. UHAUL needs to take some pride and put some man hours into cleaning and maintaining this property.

I was told by the 800# there was an on-site office available until 7:00pm, however when I arrived @ 6:30pm the office was "closed" my unit was not available. I had to call the 800 # and was on hold for 10-15 minutes, I then was able to get a hold of another local office. I explained I was onsite with a uhaul vehicle with my items and had 30 minutes to get my rental back m, my unit was not available. He had me check 2-3 other units that he was showing available which was not! Finally got a unit and by this time I was late on my uhaul truck rental return. I feel like I should be reimbursed for my rental or at least a free month rental storage for the inconvenience.

Sean U | Expérience généraleThe new lock was not in the unit the first trip so I had to go to a different store to get one which made my time constrained to move in on the correct day. When I came back the next day there was a different lock on the unit and I had not even moved in yet so I had to wait for someone to come and unlock the unit for me to be able to use it. They did come though it was an inconvenience so I am not very upset about the experience.

Donelle S | Expérience généraleMouse droppings littered the floor. Zero attempt to clean it whatsoever in what appeared in YEARS. Spider webs thicker than rain clouds in every corner, up and down. Bait box was empty and just as my first sentence, mouse droppings both black and green scattered the entire unit. It took me 15 minutes to realize that I would be asking for a refund.

AMY M | Expérience généraleWe had someone attempting to break in our unit which resulted in a damage lock. causing us having no access to our unit. Leaving mine we paid our bill every time on time and never had a late fee but because the lock was damaged could not get no help from any of the U-Haul employees... there's never no one there in the office on site you have to call U-Haul on linden avenue which again no one there would help us get access to our storage unit. this unit was something I was renting for my mother which is 60 years old they told her that she was responsible for taking and dealing with it. Because they was too lazy to send someone down there with a pair cutters and a new lock. Seeing how it was their responsibility to keep it safe.Good thing I knew how to cut the lock. Come back a day after to get the last couple boxes and found the storage unit was completely broken into boxes was missing we was very thankful that what we left had no value really to it. I would never recommend anyone to this storage facility and I will never use a U-Haul or a U-Haul facility ever again. This is the worst storage unit facility that I have ever had. There's not even no cameras besides the one as soon as you come in the gate which I even doubt works. If you were trying to store something which is sentimental or have any value at all I would seek for a different storage unit facility.

I cannot even pay at the site of my unit. I can only pay at another local UHaul site. I cannot even pay on-line. I lost 2 days grace. I needed to pay over the phone due to the impending weather.

It shouldn't be that difficult to bring our business to a close for a simple rental of a storage unit.
