Give me the keys to the right truck
Buck SWe've been using UHaul exclusively since a big move in 2021. On each occasion, from first contact to end, our experience has been EXCELLENT! This time was for a small delivery and a trip of less that 60 miles, and from our pick up at one office to depositing the 10ft truck at the end of our trip, it ALL worked FLAWLESSLY. From SK Enterprises who got the day started for us to our FAST and CONVENIENT drop off at Victory Computer, UHAUL Personnel are experts at efficiency, knowledgeable and helpful. They simply are UNMATCHED!

Sidney CManager of location was wonderful to work with. I had an issue where the person was supposed to drop of their truck for me to use, but they hadn't, so he worked with me and got me a different truck with little hassle on my part. Great man.
Miles TIt would've been nice to know in advance if we were not going to get everything we ordered. We ordered a furniture dolly and when we got there it wasn't there. Also, the truck was not great and the door barely closed on driver side.

Richard EOpen sign was lit up however the front door was locked. Employee came 5 minutes later with some female that wasn't employed with uhaul. Employee told me to follow the instructions from the app even though I needed assistance.
Shawn WVehicles are not maintained or cleaned between customers. Vehicles engine light and tire pressure notification lights were on. I was praying the engine wouldn't blow, or I wouldn't get a flat tire before I could return it. Customer service at the beginning was great because I was having issues access the mobile data with the app.
Charlene FThe truck had damages to it. Damages such as scratches and dents all around the truck. When driving the truck it felt as if I was driving a stick shift.

Eileen BI paid before I picked up the truck everything went great I dropped the van back off 20 minutes earlier and a week later they send me an email saying I need to pay more without explaining why. It's unprofessional and even disrespectful. You can't even tell us what your charging us for, and on top of that their giving me a 30$ late fee included and it's only been one week and the first notice saying anything about an additional payment. I have lost all respect from them. Never again

DWIGHT NWas told check engine light was on but had just been serviced and the light would clear itself. When I fueled the truck the gas tank had a leak that had been very poorly patched. Tank appeared to have a bullet hole under poorly repaired patch. Had to fix myself so could continue my trip.

Robert LI picked up the uhaul and there was no gas in it. The 20 foot uhaul was on E. I had to go fill the tank up before I could start moving my belongings. I was not compensated for having to fill up the gas tank that should have already been full. I will never use this location again.
Latrice TThe truck reeked off smoke and had ants. Aldo, the tire pressure was low so had to spend more money (was already way overpriced for what it was) to get air to fill it up. Feels like they completely neglect their equipment but continue to overcharge you for it. This was my last time using U-Hail.

Jacquelyn GI rented a truck, was not given any paperwork for the truck, there was damage to the roof and Uhaul is attempting to make me pay for the damage that was already existing. I will be writing to BBB and disputing the charges on my credit card.
Sharrod GTuck had an exhaust leak, could not read odometer, and steering was loose. When I informed the mngr he did not seem the least bit concerned. I use u-haul a lot but If this is my only choice for u-haul, I will use a different rental company.

Aradin CClean enough for a trailer but a few little issues that should be better maintained. One of the marker lights was out of its grommet, safety chains are highly worn from people dragging them on the ground since they are so long, one tire had a screw in it so roadside had to come fix, and one of the removable chain links was distorted and wouldn't screw together properly. Otherwise good, we'll designed equipment and no issues towing all the way across country.
Byron GThe location was a computer repair shop that was not open on weekends. There were no local personnel with whom I could interact - all that was there was a key dropbox. Parking for vehicles was not clearly marked.
Art BBefore letting someone pick up a moving truck, be sure to make sure it's not dirty inside. There was cigarette ashes, left over wrappers and water bottles (empty and full)
Alesia HThe truck was given to me on E, was infested with roaches, then I was charged for mileage that I didn't use. I returned the vehicle the night before and was told at check in to place the keys in the drop box.

Rachel LThe truck was not filthy, but it was not clean. The floorboard was dirty, and the dash was not clean. It did not look as if it was cleaned after the last rental. The box of the truck needed sweeping and cleaning, and I needed it to be clean. I was transporting upholstered furniture. it was a very good thing I rented to blankets because they protected my furniture. This shopping center looks dilapidated, as if it is going out of business. I also had to get gas almost immediately, as the truck only had 1/8 of a tank. I thought they were always full when you rented, and you returned them to full. That is what I have done in the past. It did drink gas, that is for sure!

Sherry TTHEN, when I go to return my uhual, the drop off location was saying the original pickup location… yet again, took ANOTHER 1,5 to get someone on the phone to fix my drop off location because they were saying that my destination "was not set yet" meanwhile, I got hung up on multiple times by the customer service people on the 24/7 truck share line. Honestly I would rate this zero stars but they don't offer that option

OLIVIAALEXANDRA PI was outraged at this entire experience with this specific dealer. The guy is rude and disrespectful to begin with and I did not receive any paperwork for the rental at all. When I got to the truck, it looked as if it was just returned without being cleaned out and the smell of Marijuana was very intense not only in the truck but in the office as well. I was notified when I turned the truck in that it needed a half tank of gas and I was pissed off because when I picked the truck up it had maybe a quarter tank at best. I've rented many uhaul trailers and trucks over the years and for the most part been pretty satisfied but after this incident and uhaul doing nothing about it, I will definitely seek othe avenues for my future needs.

Danell CThis was the third location attempted for a reservation made several weeks in advance. Learned day before pickup that original selected location didn't receive a truck. Was changed to location 25 min from home. Upon arrival, learned that location's truck was broken. No issues at the third one but ultimately delayed picking up equipment by over three hours from time originally requested.

Martin LThe dealer charged me for cleaning but the truck was dirty before I got it. The gas level was almost empty. I need my $25 he charged me for cleaning back. The truck smell Marijuana. He charged me extra miles. I'm upset.

Stacey RI reserved this trailer by phone and refused the additional insurance. When I picked up the trailer, I gave it a cursory looking over and didn't notice, until I got back to load my stuff - that the trailer was full of ants. I swept them out the best that I could, bought a can of ant spray and sprayed out the trailer and hoped for the best. When I got my credit card charge notice, I saw that I was charged for the insurance that I had originally refused without the man at the pickup location either asking me if I wanted it nor telling me that he added it to the invoice. I called U-Haul customer service and was told that only the pickup location could credit the overcharge. I called the pickup location, went to voice mail, left a detailed message and never heard back. Very dissatisfied with your customer service and still want credited for the insurance charge. Please feel free to call me anytime.
Beverley BThis location was different from where I retrieved the truck and was also VERY hard to locate. I was given the location as being "Victory Computer" but there is NO such place. I rode around for some time searching for Victory Computer at the location/address indicated in the email I received to no Avail!! Just as the pick-up location was hard to locate, this location is hidden in an area w/ hair salons and music store.

Lakisha LI was contracted to pick up my truck on S. Plaza Trail, Va. Bch., VA. Then I was told they did not have a truck available at that location to go to Monticello Ave., Norfolk, VA. Upon arrival there they told me the truck was out of service and sent me to Portsmouth, VA to pick up a truck. So that is 25 miles I had to drive just to pick up the truck I was supposed to pick up 1,5 miles from my house. When I arrived in Portsmouth, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up. Then the truck I finally got was old, rough riding, rough running and I could smell the exhaust fumes in the cab. I had to drive 19 miles from the pick up point just to get back to my house, and again the same distance back when turning the truck back in. That's 38 miles @ $1,29 per mile ($49,02) wasted. I've rented equipment from UHaul many times in the past and have never had a problem before, but this has been a horrible experience and I hope UHaul does the right thing or I will never use them again.
Franz GAfter visiting 2 other locations, a trailer was available but Non-operational!. I repaired the trailer and was to get a 20 % discount on my rental. I saved Uhaul hundreds of dollars in repairs and was snubbed by the area manager! Very disappointed in the service at this location!
Michael FMaybe lower your mileage rates. (Smile) But other than that, the manager at facility showed great customer service and I will be returning again.
