It took me 90 minutes to figure out where my truck was and get into it. I reserved at North Bay Self Storage but the confirmation came from Walt's. It looked like a mistake. I couldn't get anyone on the phone either locally or nationally, so I went to North Bay for my 8:30 but they were shut. Finally someone showed up at 9:15 but refused to talk to me -- too busy. I finally got er to tell me that the reservation was moved without notice because NBSS didn't have the vehicle I requested. Fine. So I went to Walt's but their phone message said they were only available from 8:00 to 8:30 on Mondays - a hour too late. Finally I figured out how to get on line and get into the truck - That went fine, though tedious, and I finally got on the road, an hour and a half late for my job. All of this could have been prevented if my text had included the information that the location was moved due to availability and not a clerical error.

No truck when I arrived for guaranteed reservations. Had to send 2.5 hours going to another location to get a truck. There was a truck at San Rafael but he couldn’t rent it to me because a MAN had a reservation an hour after me. I am female so my reservation did not count as much as the one made by a man.

There is no internet signal so returning the truck was tedious. I was promised a credit of $23 on my return with a 1/4 tank. I returned it at almost half a tank. When I picked up the U-Haul it was almost empty and there are no gas stations near by. I am still waiting for my credit.

I requested to pickup in San Rafael, and was in there earlier prior to calling to reserve my vehicle and they had expressed that a 15 foot truck would not be a problem, and then via SMS I was notified later to pickup my U-Haul in Petaluma. Same thing occurred with my drop off in Gig Harbor, WA, it was later changed to Port Orchard, WA. Displeased with the ease and convenience of picking up and dropping off the vehicle. San Rafael was also out of packing blankets when I purchased my other packing material -- luckily, Petaluma had them, but that a long drive!

A light came on toward the left - looked like a helicopter. Called Uhaul and each time they sent us to roadside assistance and left us on hold for long periods of time. Fortunately my daughter managed that part. It wasn't clear what the light meant and whether we were in danger. Finally someone said, well since you are returning it soon it will be okay.

With mobile check-in, I was asked to acknowledge and sign that the top of the 17 foot truck had no damage. This is not reasonable to ask the renter to acknowledge this when there's no way to see the top of the truck.

U-Haul was returned on site with 1/4 tank of gas, just as the paperwork had indicated to be filled up to. Pictures were taken to prove this upon self-check in through the U-Haul application. I understand the late fee as I did return the vehicle and AT after 12:00pm per contract, but to charge me 90 dollars for gas is FUCKING RIDICULOUS. That cost will basically fill the tank up to full. I will NEVER use or recommend this service to anyone again. Very disappointing to say the least.

Walt at Walts Automotive took care of my needs quit well, thank you Walt for accommodating me. It was a long road getting to pick up this trailer. Not because of his location, but because of the other two stores failure to have a trailer already reserved a week and a half earlier for me to pick up. First store didn't have the right auto transport, they send me to a hole in the wall store AAA Appliance /UHAUL store at 5517 Old Redwood HWY, where there was NOBODY TO BE FOUND, I called the number the other store gave me , and it went straight to voice mail. After the third try, after waiting for an hour and a half, I called Walts Automotive in Petaluma to see if he had the trailer I needed, he did, I asked him hold it, I was on my way. All in all, I was about 70+ miles out of my way and 3 hours of lost time that I needed to work on the truck I was taking to Hot August Nights before I loaded it on the trailer... Needless to say I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Ive been renting from the Santa Rosa Store for the last 7 years, NEVER had a problem, ONE MORE TIME NEXT YEAR, HOPE THEY GET IF RIGHT. FYI , Confirmation on my original reservation is 94463257. Id like to thank Walt again for hooking me up, Pleasure doing business with you...

I loved the site, the people, and the truck. I don't like your web site and web processing...it is "slimy"...always asking you to buy more before the small print moves you on. Also at the end, you aportion a small amount of time to the truck rental which appears in the small print. If you are going to limit the time, then you need you get an approval for that in the process. The usual assumption is 24 hours.
