This experience was not good at all. The gentleman that helped me was on the phone with a friend the entire time. The uhaul was NOT on site and he sent me to walk (with a heavy box) 0,2 miles away, down several blocks, to pickup the van. He was clearly not paying attention, so he gave me the wrong address and I had to walk back again. He then laughed and gave me an updated address, 0,3 miles away. so I had to walk just under a mile with my stuff to find the van. Why are the vans not on site? This delayed me by an entire hour. The only issue I had was upon trying to return the UHaul. The app would not upload pictures. I tried many, many times and it did not work. I called UHaul's customer service attempting to resolve the issue and was told that the estimated wait time was over an hour. I arranged to be called back, but when I received (what I assume was) the call there was no one on the other line. Fortunately, I just left the vehicle parked and didn't complete the in-app return process. But it was very frustrating.Seth B.

It's absurd that customers are expected to find street parking to leave their vehicles when they are finished with them. Uhauls are expected to have lots to keep the vehicles. I have never used a Uhaul company that expected that- they always keep the lot open for customers. I will not be using this location again nor would I recommend it to a friend. There is no parking at the location so customers are expecting to find a parking spot in a residential neighborhood. Self/mobile pick-up was not available when I showed up for my appointed time and had to wait an hour. My U-haul reservation didn't update to say this until it was close to pick-up time. I was given the wrong van and had to return to the site to get it swapped after it was all loaded and I had been driving away (at least this site helped swap my items into the new van) One of the tires was severely under-pressured. I had to return to get that fixed. There was rice spilled in the van. So much wasted time renting through this location.ROXANNE R.

The drop off location was absolutely ridiculous. The fact that you have to find parking on the street with a mf uhaul is beyond me. That definitely needs to be rethought because it's very hard to find parking on a Sunday night past 630pm that is just a nightmare in itself. It caused quite a stress, and will probably never recommend this service. The initial pickup was great but the drop off, terrible. I would rather eat glass than go through that again. I read some very negative reviews of this location but booked anyways because it was most convenient for my quick Craigslist purchase needs. This location is run out of a small business auto shop with a parking lot. The young woman working the desk was great, very friendly and efficient. The trucks are parked on the street all over the neighborhood which is a funny NYC hustle if there ever was one. We walked two blocks to find the assigned truck exactly where we were told. The truck was a bit grimy in the cab. The back included blankets and a dolly which we hadn't paid for but would have been a nice plus if we needed them. Truck ran fine, ramp worked fine. If returned during operating hours you can pull into the lot, where check in was simple as well. We were charged for exactly what we anticipated. It's a cheap truck rental in Brooklyn. Totally fine! Truck was old and damaged. It was 95 degrees and A/C was not working properly. Driver's seat door didn't close properly so outside hot air kept coming into the car. The worst truck I've ever rented. The invoice was wrong too. I returned the truck with 3/8 gas full because it was what the gas tank had. I was charged 80 $+ more for gas. I sent pictures of the truck when I picked up. They contain the gas read photo as well. I will be very upset if I don't get my money back for the wrongly charged amount. Even the pickup experience was bad. First they gave me a van although I asked for 15 foot truck with a ramp. Then U Haul staff didn't know where the right truck was. So my two employees who get paid by hour and I had to walk with her for around 50 min in the streets carrying dolly and blankets we also rented. It was a total disaster.RYAND K.

Just what you couldn't improve. Maybe you can actually have the correct information in your applications. Let's put the speed of the website in the app aside which is abysmal you say you can do mobile pickups and then you can't you blame it on the location the location blames it on you it's insane. I waited 3 hours from 6:45 a.m. on a Sunday to almost 10:00 to pick up my van. You cost me 500 $that day and I'll never get that money back or my reputation. While I waited 3 hours there were others there that waited 2 hours at least a half a dozen people. I get it you're a monopoly you couldn't care less about your customers and it shows.Murat C.

The equipment was filthy. Garbage was under the driver seat, Drinks spilled in and down the cup holders. Between the seats were filled with cat hair. This was completely awful. It was not clear when I made the reservation, which included 24/7 drop off, that I would need to find a parking spot in Prospect Heights Brooklyn in order to leave the truck. In addition, when I arrived and tried to figure out whether there was a lot or wasn't a lot I could park in, it continued to be really difficult to figure out. Extremely frustrating at the end of an exhausting day. Instructions on U-Haul's website were inconsistent. It did not mention street parking, only a lot/asking me to check a box saying I was at the drop off address. But all the clues around me pointed to parking on the street. (No way to get into the lot. Other U-Haul vehicles parked around the adjacent streets.) I don't think street parking is something U-Haul should expect customers to do in the first place. But certainly not as a surprise. At the very least, when I called the location, there should be clear instructions about street parking on their voicemail message. There was not. Extremely disappointed with this experience.MARTAM M.

Uhaul did not provide me with the appropriate information to rent my van. The van reserved for me was given to another customer hours before my reservation. When I went to pick up my van, I had to wait for an hour, in the pouring rain, for an available rental. It was incredibly difficult to get in contact with a Uhaul representative and, when I did, he was unaware of how to handle the situation. Communication can improve tremendously. This Washington locations was great. My original pickup location was 1740 Atlantic Avenue. The Atlantic Avenue location didn't have any van available, I wasn't notified before arriving for the 10am pickup time and had to go across town to the Washington location. Being that this was such an inconvenience for me, I was an hour and an half late for my event and lack of consideration for my time. I will not recommend the 1740 Atlantic Avenue location to anyone nor will I use again.Nilo J.
Have a dedicated street parking area for U-haul trucks. The parking lot was closed so I had to loop around the block 4-5 times to find an open spot in the street. I had to parallel park by myself to make it into the spot and it took an extra 20-25 mins to do so while ensuring I dont bump the car behind me.Bassem H.
