Warn customers to complete the validation process ahead of time and improve validation methods. The process should not require an alternate contact, this is an extremely flawed way to validate. The app is also super buggy for validation so related delays are almost guaranteed. I was outside in the freezing cold for an hour and a half on the phone and live chatting with customer service while trying to validate.

Uhaul app didn't work well at all. I signed up for mobile pick-up with my smartphone, but the app kept messing up. When I got to the Uhaul pick up, there was another customer who had the same Van # as me. Luckily the workers at the Washington Ave place were very helpful. Since the app wasn't working for me, they just processed my booking themselves & things went more smoothly. The app kept freezing. I couldn't take pictures of my odometer and fuel levels to complete my booking. Luckily all the workers were very friendly and helpful.

The location had a 40 minute wait, a horribly organized check in process even though I had already checked in online, and then didn't have my van after all that, which required extra calls. They then tried to say it was my fault for not returning calls the day before - I received one call, which I returned, and it was to confirm them as my pickup location. They continued to make excuses after I had to call UHaul scheduling directly. Overall it was a bad experience, very unprofessional. They didn't have another customers truck either, and that was just within the 45 minute window I was there.

I utilized one of the moving services which U-HAUL advertises when renting one of their assets and had a poor experience with their service. The movers in question were not present for the fully purchased time and I am still waiting for a response (+1 month) regarding a refund. I feel that U-Haul should do a better job vetting vendors that they push on their website.

I was not made aware that the pickup/drop off location would be closed upon my returning of the vehicle. I was also not made aware that I could leave this commercial vehicle anywhere parked in this residential neighborhood for drop off. I called uhaul twice and both agents did not know how to help me (the first person was rude) until i was transferred to the travel department who finally told me to leave the vehicle parked and walked me through the process, costing me an extra 30 minutes and extra 2 miles driving around. Very unnecessary

I originally scheduled my pickup for 9am at a different location, and when I changed the pickup time to 8:30am it was very unclear that the pickup location was changed as well. I went to my originally scheduled pickup location at 8:30 and it took quite a few phone calls to figure out that I was at the wrong place. Once I got to the correct location it was fine but I ended up being almost 1.5 hours late to pick up because I had no idea that changing my pickup time would also change the location.

Of all my years using UHaul, my experience at 666 Washington has to be one of my best experiences hands down. Customer service was expeditious, pick up and drop off was seamless. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to use this UHaul location.

There was an incredibly long wait even though I did the online check-in and was supposed to "skip the line." The people who worked there were brusque, yelled at customers and each other, and despite the long line half of them were just standing around because apparently one person wanted to do it all himself. Waste of my time. He also tried to give the truck I'd already checked in for away to someone else.

I returned the van with 1342 miles on the odometer, and they charged me an extra 15 miles ($26.85). This location is closed Sundays, so the after hours drop off did not let me verify the mileage with anyone at the location.

I was told there would be blankets etc. available to me WITHOUT a reservation. I understand this is not how this works but this is WHAT I WAS TOLD. This is my first time using U-HAUL and the experience was terrible and I am going to believe what a representative tells me as I have not used your services before. There was no accessories left for purchase when I got to my pickup location which they also- changed on me last minute. Then they also gave me the wrong mileage on the truck so when I dropped it off...I had to deal with that as well. Also, I called the company to see if they could give me complimentary bubble wrap in Brooklyn at a pickup location near me and the manager practically hanged up on me . This was the worst moving experience- my things broke in the truck because I didn't have them wrapped properly.... and I would not use U-HAUL again unless a customer service representative reaches out, apologizes, and does something to make up for the inconvenience and lack of respect I experienced. I did not pay $400 to have my furniture broken, deal with rude people, and drop off a truck to only experience there was more issues.

I went to this location first time. They were great.

Have another person assisting in the office, have the full amount of gas in the car to begin with (I had less gas than he said in the tank when we left, and he said that I didn't fill up a quarter of a tank. I might have had 24.5/100 full, but the tank wasn't as full as he had said, and he refused when looking at the image of the gauge that I had shown him.) It wasn't worth arguing over $8, but it was a pain and was not a pleasant experience. And the emergency brake for the truck was dangling and had to be maneuvered in order to drive away.

The location offers 24/7 drop off, but if you are returning a vehicle after hours, you need to park on the street. If you know that ahead of time it won't be so bad. However, there is nothing in the description, rental agreement, or drop off instructions to indicate the after hours street parking. That omission leaves customers in the lurch, causing a lot of confusion for both the customers themselves and the uhaul customer support staff, and making for a much longer and more frustrating drop off experience.

Absolutely terrible experience. Clerk at this location did not allow online check in. Said it was first come first serve! Even if you had a reservation. I did the online check on while I was waiting and located my vehicle and got a contract. When I went to show the clerk. He did not honor the online check in, even though I was already confirmed with a contract and had paid online with my credit card. He then continued to cancel my reservation and give the vehicle to another customer. And have me wait in line for an hour. When it was finally my turn, he could not find my reservation, even though I showed it to him on my phone. He continued to call me a liar and that I had no reservation. I then had to contact U-Haul customer service, which took another hour giving me the run around because apparently my reservation was through another company. I was passed off and dropped from the phone calls multiple times. Eventually after calling back multiple times and finally getting a hold of the manager of the area, they gave me a truck. Absolutely terrible customer service from the clerk at location, he said out loud multiple times that he did not care about doing his job and that he hated it. U-Haul gave me a $50 refund for my troubles. But I don't know of I'll ever use them again.

The attendee was not customer friendly. He became unnecessarily loud and sacastic because I told him that bill was high. He even got up and left me inside the "office"? As I walked outside I saw and heard the attendee relating my case to a group of men from the garage. (that I used the van and questioned the high price that I was charged.) The attendee's behavior was "anti-customer" , disrespectfully and from all appearances he behaved badly because he saw our SKIN COLOR is similar. I observed him talking to caucasian customers prior and his intonation was modulated... I even heard him tell a man that he'll take care next time. One man was questioning his bill and another left a key in the van. If we are being asked to take our precious time to do a survey, I hope it to produce better CUSTOMER SERVICE. I could not recommend this location due to how badly I was handled especially as a female. as attending to a caucasian customer.

The truck I reserved was not there. What is the point of having a reservation if what you’re reserving isn’t there? Also, because I was forced to take the smaller van, I had to make two trips and was charged for the additional mileage. Sounds like a racket to me.

Ok, first of all, there was one guy actually working at this location. He was not present at the desk for the first 20 minutes I was there. When he did arrive, he was followed in by another employee that preceded to scream at him for 15 min. The location itself/the workers were not very professional at all. HOWEVER, the equipment was clean and I did not have any problems with the truck.

The owner of this location is one of the rudest people I have had to interact, and this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My roommate and I had a 10' truck scheduled to pick up at 8am. When we show up at 7:50am, an attendant tells us to wait and that the owner will be back soon. The owner comes back at 8:30am, and after talking to all his friends at the garage, says "good morning" to us. We say good morning, and that we have a truck scheduled for pick up at 8am. He says that we have to wait 15 minutes and didn't explain why. When we said that we had already waited 30 minutes, he yells, literally yells, at us to leave if we don't like. It was violent and scary. His employee told him to be more gentle to customers, and he yells at his employee "who do you work for? huh?" Absurd. After another 30 minutes we were ready to go - an hour late. When my roommate returned the truck, the owner of the garage continued to berate her in a very rude manner. When he asked her if she put gas in the truck, she replied that she did, and he yelled at her that she was a liar. He could have just checked that fuel gauge and see that she had indeed put gas in the truck. The truck was in good condition. But the service was ridiculously bad. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

Make sure the truck that has been reserved and confirmed is actually at the location. Have more customer service representatives working so that customers aren’t on hold for over a half hour when they call to address the fact that their truck isn’t there. Have customer service reps who don’t ask you to hold for a moment and then send you back to the beginning of the phone queue.

It was virtually impossible to drop off the U-Haul at this Brooklyn location. As we drove by the first time, the front driveway was blocked with a double parked car and a U-Haul was doubled parked by it. After struggling to go "around the block" for another pass at the drop off location (Brooklyn roads are very narrow, congested and doubled parked), we were instructed to leave it double parked by the driveway! This place (a transmission garage) needs more parking or shouldn't be a U-Haul dealer!

This location was haphazard and disorganized. I made a reservation online and he would NOT honor my reservation. I ended up paying DOUBLE what I should have because of that. There’s also no street parking to return the truck after hours. I do NOT recommend this location. Additionally I had to call uhaul at least 4 times in regards to this move.

The individual that I dealt with when dropping off the truck was fantastic! He was very friendly and made the drop off very easy. Also, I ended up leaving my EZ pass in the truck by mistake and they immediately called me the next business day to let me know they had found it and that I could come and get it. They were very concerned about making sure I got it back.

They instead chose to ask every single customer the same questions they are asked on the app. What's the point of having a reservation when it's first come first serve? For my next move, I will not use UHaul.
