The customer service was fine, the people were nice and helpful. However, there was garbage left behind in the front by previous renters and the cup holders were full of crumbs. The tank was only a quarter full, which was fine for me because my move was local, but would have been inconvenient for someone with a longer drive.Ariel J.

I had to wait about 30 minutes to get my van because the system was down. It's not their fault the system was down, but it made it a little hectic with so many people waiting. When I went to get my truck, it wasn't in the location they told me; they clarified once I called them to ask and it was close by, but it was just hectic in this sense.Rachael M.

The right side mirror was taped on at an angle that did not let me see around the side of the truck. I felt unsafe driving it, especially at 2am in the morning because you weren't able to provide me a truck at the location and time that I originally reserved. This rental was in NYC. This is a truck. You must have labels everywhere saying so and giving truck permitted roads and bridges. The fact that there is NOTHING or in super small print on your website is a glaring omission. Also the truck is way larger than it needs to be. Its too wide, too long. An electric model would be nice. The best thing about it was the A/C because I rented it on a superhot day and was stuck in lots of traffic. Maps Maps Maps! There is no parking at this facility after office hours and the location is impossible to find available street parking. I spent 1 hour looking for a space and 30 mins calling u-haul to discuss my options. Your customer service sucks you can't have people standing infront of you that you're servicing and leave them to go service another and when you return taking you're own sweet time ,then you send them on a journey to pick up that which they've rented from you . The online "don't wait in line" experience seemed so promising. But it was not the case, as I still had to wait in line and check in despite having done it already on the app. The people were very nice and doing their best at the location, but it was chaos. I would say the experience was mediocre. The van was ok, but not super clean. Some of the blankets were still wet. It wasn't the most convenient location for us, but other locations that were closer didn't have available vehicles. On Saturdays if we had returned after 3 we needed to park on the street. The drop-off situation is very inconvenient. Honestly, I feel like this place shouldn't rent uhauls if they can't provide a more convenient way to drop them off. The customer service was horrible. It was a disorganized mess of a pick up place. I arrived on time for my pickup time, and the man at inside the pickup location gave away the van that was assigned to me. I had to wait 40 minutes waiting for him to find, clean, and set up the van for me to use. On top of that, there was barely any gas in it to begin with. The Prospect Heights UHAUL location needs a serious inspection. They need much better customer service â€" the people there do not even communicate properly with you and don't tell you what's going on. They just grunt and expect you to follow them. I am so angry at the experience and felt like I wasted a lot of money in this UHAUL.Reema K.

I reserved a Van for Saturday 12/4/21 at 376 Classon Ave. for 10am Pickup. I arrived at the place and no one was there, then the Manager shows up at 10:05 to tell me that there is no Van available and I need to go to 666 Washington Ave (approx. one mile for Classon) and they will have a Van for me. When I arrived at 666 Washington, the Manager was very mad and he told me that no one called to tell him to give me a Van. But he eventually supplied with a Van. I will give him 3 Star, but the Owner/Operator of Classon Ave will get Zero Star and I will never use him again. I have never had worse experience than this. I had hired people to help me load the Van, and they had to wait for extra One Hour (which I had to pay for).Kalim M.

I felt stolen when I saw the receipt. I returned the Van on the same day ( Saturday Night) but they claimed that I only returned on Monday after 10 am. They charged me more than double what I usually pay for the same route and time used your van. I called there to complain about the price charged me but they dont solve nothing. This experience was not good at all. The gentleman that helped me was on the phone with a friend the entire time. The uhaul was NOT on site and he sent me to walk (with a heavy box) 0,2 miles away, down several blocks, to pickup the van. He was clearly not paying attention, so he gave me the wrong address and I had to walk back again. He then laughed and gave me an updated address, 0,3 miles away. so I had to walk just under a mile with my stuff to find the van. Why are the vans not on site? This delayed me by an entire hour.
