The truck was dirty. I took pictures of the debris, nails, trash, etc. that was on the truck when I opened it. The actual process of renting the van was T E R R I B L E . It took about 2 hours for the staff to do what I had already done prior to arriving. I made the reservation for the U-Haul online, but it wasn’t showing on their end. Furthermore, the equipment that I had reserved was unavailable, even though the website at that very moment said that it was. (In the two hours I was waiting for the two women to make the reservation, I did another online reservation at a U-Haul renter in Winfield. Upon calling, I discovered that the website also lied about what was available at their location as well.) As for customer service, I stood... at the counter for two hours. Aside from being made to feel as though I was a bother and the source of their frustration, I was offered nothing for my time wasted. I’m appalled that a company that’s been in business for so long could be so disorganized and careless with its customers from reservation through purchase. If I didn’t need the equipment that day, I would have definitely taken my business elsewhere. When I told the drop-off U-Haul employee about my horrendous experience, he said there was nothing he could do. At least he offered an apology, but U-Haul is too expensive to be so unprofessional. HIGHLY dissatisfied. Definitely do NOT recommend.

The rear passenger side tire blew out and the trailer vibrated for most of our trip. O ly to find out from the road side assistance guy that it had the wrong tire and rim on it. Three wheels were the same. The one that blew out was a different depth and not the appropriate wheel. That was a little unnerving and cost me nearly two hours of travel time. It was not a great experience.

Truck was not where we were told, had to drive 60 miles to get the truck and back from original location. Tires were bald. Called customer service and was yelled at by the customer service agent!!!! ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!!!! The ladies at Wathas Inc pickup were wonderful so this is about the customer service, NOT the pickup location employees!!! i will NEVER EVER rent from Uhaul again after this customer service incident!!! NEVER!!!!

The app would not work for me to check in my truck. We stood outside on hold with customer service for over an hour trying to get someone to help us get our truck checked in due to the app not allowing me to take a picture of the milage and gas

You would think at least someone would have helped unhook this heavy trailer. but not at this location, no one even offered to supervise me unhook it much less help. This may be a simple task for some but for someone with a back problem, it's very difficult.

We had the hardest time getting our uhaul. We scheduled it in Red Bay,AL (where we live) and online it said it was available. We spoke to Uhaul on the phone and they said it was not available in Red Bay we would have to go to Hamilton, AL to pick it up. We scheduled it for 8pm and we get there and the place closed at 6. When we called Uhaul we got transferred like 3 times and finally we get someone that can help us by now it is almost 9pm. They adjusted the time for us but this was absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Also I when I ordered the truck in Red Bay I ordered 2 dollies when we get the truck in Hamilton there are no dollies at all. We ended up extending our truck for 2 days instead of 1 and we were told it would be $40 for an additional day and then my debit card $67 and some change for the second day.

I keep having different amounts from Uhaul held on my credit card, one was already charged and now a new third one popped up that is a penny difference from the one charged. This rental was overpriced to begin with. I'm not using Uhaul again. I can't afford to have a large chunk of money held up on my card for almost a weeks time. I was charged for furniture pads I didn't ask for nor did I even pick up from the dealer. The truck got poor fuel economy as well, my wife and I used a larger truck in the past and it got better fuel economy than this smaller truck this time (I sum that up as poor maintenance probably old fuel and a dirty air filter). My family had none of these issues last time using Uhaul. It has been a very poor experience.

Unorganized pick up location. Took over 1 hour to get the truck. Did not assist with getting the truck off of the lot, out of the parking area which was an attached gravel parking lot with very large rocks. They didn't know how to get the return location selected. Tried to have me return the truck to Chattanooga, TN when I am in Memphis TN. Horrible customer service.

The night I rented the trailer it snowed enough you couldn't drive and they closed all the roads for 7 days. I informed Uhaul that I can't go anywhere and she said it would be up to the drop off place as to how much I would have to pay for being late. I get to my destination and it started snowing here and I was stuck for two more days. It costed me about $400 to rent this trailer and was only given 4 days to pack a house move it 3 states over and unpack it, which really isn't enough time to begin with. Then they charged me almost $150.00 for the days I had to sit due to the weather. I don't even think they were open for me to bring it back. In my opinion Uhaul could have been more considerate of the situation faced.

The trailer ball hook up was rusty; the pull release pins for the boarding ramps were rusty and hard to pull. The computer system was inoperative and the wait time to collect the reserved items was much longer than expected

Rental equipment should be maintained and cleaned. Vehicle had the change oil light on. When accelerating it would take too much time to to switch from over drive. There were empty and half full bottles of water and Gatorade. If I had to pick up another vehicle at this location I'd rather not rent at all.

The woman at Wathas wrote up our contract wrong . My husband had to drive 2 hours back to return it to Wathas .Also the right brake light was out when we got it. The staff was not friendly. We will not be using U- Haul again.

After doing express check-in online, I still had to give them all the info all over again. THEY ASKED ME TO HOOK UP THE TRAILER! Since the hitch is a different system than my personal trailer, I wasn't familiar with it. I will NEVER use this place again.

Given that I picked the equipment up at 10am on the day after Christmas and that I failed to complete the information in advance, I am sure my experience was unusual. I was told if I needed the truck and dollies longer, just return when I finished. Apparently Cypress self storage had a reservation for the equipment although I had not returned it. They called and asked me if I was bringing it back ... twice. It would have been better if the people at the rental pickup location had told me that this might happen. I could have called Cypress self storage and told them I would be late returning the equipment.

We had to walk across the street and get the truck and then hook it up to a tow dolly ourselves, with no one to help. There was no wire harness for the trailer lights so my husband had to walk back to the location to get one.

the location of the trailers and trucks is not convenient for customers. the trailers were on a cracked pavement and gravel incline with other trailers and large equipment all around them so it was very difficult to get a vehicle in to hook and unhook the trailer. the staff did not offer to help with getting everything set up. we had to go back in and ask for help. we rented a truck from the same location a few weeks ago. the rental process was very slow both times. the people are nice; just not overly helpful. they don't seem to want to come out from behind their counter for anything.

I had a 26' truck reserved for 07-11-15. I made this reservation on 06-29-15. I received 3 e-mails confirming this reservation. I also called 4 times to make sure I could get the truck. On 07-10-15 I received a call from Uhaul asking me if I would take a 20' truck because a man from B'ham needed a 26' truck. I said absolutely not because I was moving my 90 yr. old motherfrom 3br & full basement. The rep said ok. When I got to the pickup location not only was there not a 26' truck but a 17 & 20' truck available. I was told that I could not have the 20' truck & had to take the 17' with trailer. I was very inconvenienced & angry. I had to hire 2 men with a pickup & utility trailer. I also had to go back the ext day because I couldn't get it all on that 17' truck. I am very displeased & considering ligation. My daughter-in-law is an attorney & encouraging me to do so. The only positive note is that Renee at Fayette Ag (dropoff location) was professional and helpful. I would rate her a 10 & Uhaul a minus 10!!! The Haul company it self should update there system. I was told to drop off in Infield Alabama and they don't even have a uhauk compsny anymore (so 2 hours and gas WASTED) Finally got in touch with a lady and she let us drop off in Hamilton

I had to wait a long time to get my paperwork done and finally left before she was finished with her call to Uhaul. She was the only person there in a very busy gas station and it really wasn't her fault. Had to help unhook the trailer so I could leave.
