The attendant could be more friendly and smile.

Truck was cleaned but not well maintained. I believe the truck I was provided had a bad front end. A friend who was following said he could see a front tire sticking out past the others on an angle as I drove. The whole cab and the hood shook heavily as I was driving. In the end, we decided not to put our valuables at risk and returned the truck. Also two more things. A dash light (maybe indicating low rad level?? ) was on the whole time. ( I was told of that condition by the operator). When I stopped to get some gas, the gauge indicated that the inlet was on the driver side. However after I pulled up to the pump it was actually on the passenger side. Very hard to turn a big truck around at a gas stop on a busy Friday afternoon. Location was dirty and disorganized. Not very impressed.

The owner of the location is very rude. His appearance is the only thing more appalling than his demeanour. The truck was fine but the online experience needs to be streamlined and made simpler. You provide a needed service but the online experience should be simpler and the owners of these locations must be vetted better. This man is a bitter, rude, obese man. We are spending our hard earned money and he can't even say thank you.

Would not recommend this location, extremely difficult to work with never gave me the time of day. A small miss understanding with mileage on the vehicle and Pembroke staff did not even care. Campbellford (Emily) personnel looked after the situation and rectified the situation. It's not a Uhaul issue simply poor customer service from the staff in Pembroke. Very much appreciate the Uhaul service. Has been helpful many times.

The gentleman working was quite rude and abrupt with me and very friendly with my husband. I asked to get more time and was told no rudely that someone else needs the truck. My husband asked and he was told of course no problem and do you need a second truck?? Felt very sexist and frustrating as a woman as it makes no sense why we received different service.

I was a bit surprised that their agent didn't come out to the van and walk around it with me to see if there were any dings or defects. I couldn't find any manuals for the operation of the vehicle.

The guy at the counter was grumpy and came across rude. They would not accept cash which is actually against the law in Canada. The inside of the truck was filthy and smelled bad. I was not told i would have another charge on my card. I paid $240 when i rented it assuming this was my fees. I didnt even have it 12 hours. I was then charged on return over $200 more. Plus gas. It cost me well over $500 to move a 4 wheeler, some tools and a couch and chair. Not cost effective by any means. Will not be using uhaul again.

There are no improvements that Wayne's could make before his retirement but I there are minor improvements management could make. They had trouble finding Trenton Ontario when booking because of all the other Trentons (sample Trenton NJ). My first pick up booking was a dealer that had closed in Petawawa ON which wasted a lot of time for me but was changed with time to spare. I took the insurance but had to asked what was not covered. Sending a photo of my driver licence was difficult but that of the truck driver that was helping was impossible because because he lacks internet and computer. Intructions on your email should have told me I could do this as the dealer on pickup. When does the first and last day start and end. I picked the truck up on Friday which I thought was Day 1 then loaded on Sat and unloaded on Sunday (Day 2 - 3) and returned truck on Monday after cleaning Day 4. I paid for 2 extra days but was told I had returned the truck a 1 day early so your 4 days is different than mine. The truck was a much better than in the past and I averaged 10,9 miles to a US gallon over the trip. All phone calls were answered by polite and well trained employees. The driver's side seatbelt was not functioning properly. It did fasten but not securly and the seatbelt light and warning chime continued throughout the trip.

When I reserved a 26 foot truck I only received a 15 foot truck , so what is the point of making a reservation if uhaul is NOT going to be committed to it. Bad management by uhaul corporation. I had to make 2 trips just to finish the move which cost me more money , I guess uhaul has this figured out how they can scam people by giving a smaller truck so that they make more money . Very much a dissatisfied customer . Thanks uhaul corporate for your secret scam operation I will use it in my business as well.

Supposed to have the trailer for 48 hours, recieved a text from uhaul to return it 2 hours early a d I a different location ( petawawa). Showed up to the petawawa location and they no longer deal with uhaul so I had to go back to.pembroke , round trip for this error was approx 40km more driving and a big inconvenience

These comments may not be specific to Waynes Auto Repair, as we had originally reserved a 26' truck from the Petawawa location, which is now closed. The Petawawa location told us the day before we were to get the truck that one wasn't available and they had a difficult time even locating a 20' truck to replace the 26' truck we had reserved. The 20' truck we did get had the engine light constantly on, which speaks to the service condition and risk of potentially serious accidents occurring as a result of truck condition. Even though the truck didn't break down anywhere, we were nervous that it would break down on the 401 or 407. We originally booked dollies and blankets as well, but didn't get any of those either, although we were charged for furniture & utility dollies. In any case, as a result of not providing us with the size of truck we had booked 2 months ahead of time, we had to make 2 very long distance runs (9-10 hours one way alone), incurring much more cost per day to rent the truck, additional gas and extra mileage. Not to mention seriously inconveniencing ourselves and our hired movers to have to spend 2 separate days loading/unloading and a total of ~40 hours on the road. It was a nightmare.

Nothing to do with the pickup location. The gentleman there helped me as best he could. Head office down sized me from a 26 ft truck to a 20 ft one the day before my move. This meant that my move is now taking multiple trips, costing me more. This is just unacceptable. Trying to get a hold of the head office proved to be impossible. Just a mess overall, making my move far more stressful than it needed to be. The truck had multiple issues. The passenger mirror wouldn't stay in place, requiring me to pull off the road 4 times in a 5 hour trip to readjust. Every bump, the truck felt and sounded like it was going to fall apart. Extremely dissatisfied.

The truck seemed to have poor breaks and had a hard time switching into reverse. The gas peddle had to be touching the floor to get any sort of acceleration and the key got stuck in the ignition. I would recommend better regular maintenance.

To be honest, I had no contact with this location. My phone would not allow me to use self-checking. This location has a large lot, I feel it would be a good place.

I didn't like the fact that the truck was only 1/4 full when I got it. I think they should be full when you pick it up and returned full. I ended up will more fuel left than what was in it and they wouldn't give me a discount for it . it was about $60. in fuel. How is the renter suppose to gage how much fuel we are going to use?

I had reserved a 26' truck, but was delayed in picking up the unit, and because the fleet is controlled by head office and not the location itself, my reserved unit was given away. I was not impressed as I was not made aware that there was a risk of my reservation being essentially cancelled. The owner of the location explained that it was out of his control, and I felt bad that he is the one left to deal with angry customers when this situation arises.

The exhaust was totally apart the truck was so loud you could barely stand to drive it when I called to let the U-Haul people know the lady was very rude to me and then I called the person that I rented it from and he said it was nothing. So I had somebody underneath look at it and it is totally apart it should not of been on the road very unsafe would never recommend U-Haul to anyone

The truck was not clean, the cab smelled of cigerette smoke. Shakes when braking The Loading Ramp needs to be serviced, Very difficult release and slide.

Service when renting was amazing. Unhappy with having to drag an empty trailer back from Nova Scotia. It is absolutely ridiculous to hoard equipment in Ontario. To pay a $6 000 drop off fee, or spend an extra $800 in fuel. It is disgusting that consumers are trapped returning a one way rental. Meanwhile in NS, there are zero trailers at the rental facility, and they would have gladly accepted it. Unreal to say the least. I would not recommend renting from Ontario.
