Love White House garage and the staff, however if I could give Uhaul itself a rating- I would rate this past experience a 1 star. My truck was not driving properly, a maintenance worker deemed it "not broken, just has a hard shift" that I've never experienced in other Uhaul trucks and such a hard shift that it wouldn't shift gears and went from 60 to 35 mph within seconds on the interstate. I couldn't drive the truck home because of the safety issue I felt it had. Uhaul still charged me for the rental + an absurd amount for gas. Gas I couldn't get myself because the truck felt like the transmission was going out. This was such a bad experience and I still had to pay $200 for it.

Do not tell the customer that you have movers you can request to help you. I ask uhaul if they had movers that could help you. Was told yes, fee of 135,95 for 2 hrs and 2 men. Was given a a payment code to give movers when truck empty. Never gave out the code, had canceled those movers, but uhaul or someone took 130 from my cking account . So far no one has owned up to it. 130 was taken on my account on day before the movers were to be there the next day. NO PAYMENT CODE WAS GIVEN TO THE MOVERS, I HAD CANCELLED THEIR SERVICE, BECAUSE THEY REQUESTED MORE MONEY OTHER THAN THE 130.00. I WANT MY MONEY PUT BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT. OTHER THAT THIS , I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL.

Make sure your stores set up the trucks for the customer, so automated or early access is available. (Affordable Storage Guys) My move was delayed due to this occurring. After speaking with a CSR, I was told that a $50 credit would be issued after the truck was not prepared for pickup. The CSR directed me to (White House Garage), where the size truck I requested was available. This created another delay. While trying to explain what happened previously, the store manager was initially rude, but, got the truck ready for my use. (White House Garage) Returned the next day for another truck… the experience was much more pleasant.

It took forever to get the Truck Share lined up. I waited 20 minutes for the verification to do through. This was not the fault of the location pick up, but U-Haul. Why do you have to verify so much? This delay made me an hour late!

It wasn't the actual location that was horrible. It was your app we could not get the pictures to go through as it kept saying that it would not take them. We spent an hour and 15 minutes at this location trying to return this truck through your app your app totally sucks it needs to be fixed and I wish you could really give me a refund of some sort for sitting there for an hour and 15 minutes messing around with this app. We eventually called the customer service and Amanda was great but your app needs work and I would like a refund.

Review is not on location but is for uhaul. This is my 2nd U-Haul rental experience in a month One was moving from out of state to Tennessee. And second was moving out of storage into a house yesterday. Both experiences are absolutely horrible! I can almost say I will never use U-Haul again. And I'm getting ready to do a major move for my mom from Arizona to Tennessee. U-Haul will be my absolutely last choice.

This review pertains to the reservation process - not the physical location. It all started a few weeks back when my mom went back and forth to the Madison, TN location to buy $1000+ of shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, packing paper, frame protectors, etc.). Because of all the money she spent, the manager offered a verbal employee discount for the moving truck. Fast forward to a week ago, when I made the reservation for the truck by phone. Based on the size of my house (I was only asked about square footage, not about attic/basement, specific furniture, etc.), a 20' truck was recommended. Then I was called last minute and told the pickup location had switched to White House, TN. When I arrived there, I called the Madison location 10x about the discount, but no one answered. I was forced to drive down there only to be told that nothing could be done since the reservation wasn't in the manager's name. The best they could do was give me $10 of moving blankets. I then drove back to White House to get the truck. Meanwhile, the movers I hired to load it were waiting for me on the clock at my house. When they were three quarters of the way done, they told me my truck was too small. Either I could go back and get a 26' truck or a 6 x 12 trailer, both of which they thought would be sufficient, but neither of which they could help with because they had another job to get to. So, I had to wait until they filled up the 20' truck, after which I wasted gas driving it 30 mins to Madison to hitch a trailer and 30 mins back to my house. Everything about that place was poorly run, but I'll save that story. At this point, I was denied anything for my troubles and was stuck paying more money for two rentals and two insurance policies when it would have been cheaper to have rented a 26' in the first place. Finding a moving company in Nashville for the small task of loading a trailer on a weekend last minute was impossible. So, with a bad back and no bed or fresh clothes (these were packed), I had to stay an extra night and load the trailer by myself the next day and drive it to TX the day after. Coordinating the unloading process with my mover in TX was a feat because he had other jobs in place that I had to work around. Of course, the kicker is that the trailer was also too small to fit the remainder of my stuff, which means I have to make a SECOND trip to Nashville and drive another truck back to TX. Throughout this entire ordeal, I was never told that a one-way move came with a free one-month storage unit rental at a until AFTER I already reserved a space at a different location. Naturally, I canceled the other unit I had bought, and went with U-Haul's free offer. Fast forward to my arrival at the Harry Hines U-haul 4pm on Sunday. The office was closed, and I had 3 movers there to help me unload 4 bedrooms' worth of furniture. There were no dollies anywhere, I had been on the road since 3am, it was over 100 degrees, and no one notified me that the units had no AC. Now I'm worried that my antiques will warp, crack, rot, etc. On top of that, the unit was way too small once again, so I had to book another unit up the road. Every time I've called U-haul to see how they can make good on this, they try and send me up the chain. Never again will I use U-haul.

The website and app didn't work. I spent at least 1 hour trying to rent the vehicle. Another hour ans and a half trying to pick up the vehicle through the app, website and on the phone to pick up the vehicle. And then returning the vehicle didn't work online either so I had to call once again to turn in the vehicle. Don't say it's scan and go if it's not. Also much work needs to be done on the website and app so they will find the orders that have been placed. Overall a bad experience with UHaul. I will try another truck rental next time. The location I picked the truck up and returned it to was not open so I had no contact with them. I do not place the poor experience on them.
