The location for pick up is not professional. The space is dark, dirty and unclean. The representative is not respectful and rude. The take out counter was an end table with a laptop. The representative had my husband fetch the moving blankets from the back room in which my husband found personal items, giving the impression that this gentleman was living at the facility.

sandra rI was not sure until the day before if I was picking my truck up at the location or somewhere else and business owner couldn't tell me..... not knowing in the middle of a move is frustrating. I had movers scheduled 8:30am and planned to pick up the truck at 8am an hour before the place opened, so I was suppose to use the mobile app to get a key from a lock box. The app failed to complete and the help desk could not assist in getting me the truck. The facility owner arrived early by chance and with assistance from some corporate person on the phone they completed the process and I got the truck.... 45 mons later than planned and the movers were waiting for me... Overall not a pleasant experience...

JAMES SThe premises was in disarray and dirty. They had computer problems, maybe not their fault but caused delays. I gave him my phone number but it pulled up my daughters information that couldn't be corrected. Finally he had to call a different location to process my request. I was assigned to drop off at a location on Evans Street, in Greenville NC. Although he had plenty of room, he would not accept the trailer and had me take the trailer to the other side of town . He was very ugly about it. So I drove several miles to drop off the trailer. I was not happy.

Tri NA woman called me the day before I was supposed to pick up my rental to confirm everything, location and everything. Later on that day I got another call from U-Haul stating that if I wantd to have the rental a day earlier at no additional cost I could but I would have to pick it up at another location 5 miles futher than my original location. Close this location or put someone else in it to run it. The person running it took up a lot of my time trying to find the keys and telling me about his 6 divorces. Then he charged me wrong and assumed where I was going to drop the truck off. Before I started on my trip I decided to check the fluid levels because the trucks was smoking. The dip stick didn't have any oil on it. Radiator holding tank didn't have any fluid in it. The truck was loaded or I would have returned it. Driving home I was afraid to go fast because the steering had a lot of play in it. The truck was weaving back and forth. The engine was also misfiring. My wife and I were total wrecks when we finally got home. When I returned the truck I told them about the truck and they checked it out and confirmed everything I told them. They pulled it from service.

DAVE MThe truck made an awful banging noise the whole trip. Looked under truck to see if anything was hanging loose to find nothing. It was a pretty sketchy ride to and from location.

Marcus SProprietor was incredibly inappropriate with myself (female) when picking up the vehicle, which took 45 minutes mainly because he spent most of the time talking to me about how I look, etc ,etc. In talking to others about my experience, plenty told me the same stories they went through as well and how they will never return. I refused to return the vehicle to this location and returned to another location near by.

Brenda DThe gentleman Raymond that runs this UHaul business out of 20th St. storage is a joke. The man changed the time on my reservation and argued with me saying that he would make it later so I had more time even though I insisted multiple times I wanted a 7 AM pick up. When I went to pick up the truck at 7 AM I was not able to because he had changed the time to 8 AM even though I told him not to when I called UHaul representative, I was told he didn't even enter in the rental reservation correctly so that it could be an after hours pick up via the mobile app. As a result of his negligence and incompetence, I was not able to pick up a truck until 10 AM three hours past my scheduled time that I had wanted and reserved it for originally. I will never rent from this location ever again.

Brian DThe doors barely shut, the steering was so loose it was almost scary to drive, the manger, Raymond talked way too much and got quite offensive in front of my Wife and he charged me the $15 for insurance when I turned it down multiple times.

Terry RThe two men working at this location were rude, condescending, and unprofessional. When we were shown the Uhaul we rented, my friend could not get the truck to start because she did not know you had to really put some muscle into cranking the ignition. We asked the employees if the truck engine was even running, and they dismissed us and said "Yeah, yeah, the engines are just very quiet." Then when we could not move the truck, since the engine was not actually running, one of them jumped into the truck to start it for us and asked my friend patronizingly "Have you ever driven a car before?" (She had already presented her driver's license to them). He continued to rev the engine over her while she was talking, burning up gas and interrupting her. The check engine light was on and they also dismissed that, telling us that "all the trucks' check engine lights were on and all of the trucks are inspected before renting them to customers." Worrying about our safety on the road, I asked to see an inspection sticker on the truck, which I could not find and they did not show us. The check engine light did go away once the vehicle had started, so that wasn't an issue, but the employees did not take our concerns seriously and rushed through the process.

Jonathan SThe local UHaul dealer was fantastic! The 24/7 UHaul service and app are terrible though. U-Haul online customer service and the 1-800 number service were also completely unhelpful when we couldn't check in at our scheduled time.
Fredrick FI called this location to rent a trailer. The individual told me he had a trailer available and made the reservation for me over the phone. He then gave me a number to call to find out where I can pick up my trailer. Uhaul sent me to a business that's closed. After calling them back they sent me back to the the first guy who had just gotten the trailer in. When I arrived I found multiple trailers on the lot, including some that looked my Size. As I pull in, the operator tells me to back up to my trailer, to which I asked which one, and he replied… there is only one…… his helper directed me to the correct trailer as the operator told me that he would be back in 10 minutes. I was left with his assistant who was elderly and seemed to be very confused. He did a lot of grunting and pointing and spoke in very brief, hard to understand bursts of English. He could barely stand and seemed to be about to fall over. In his attempt to talk to me he was trying to tell me to come inside and wait. I was trying to talk to my wife when he came up to the passenger window and just stood there staring at my family. He would not walk away until I agreed to go inside. It was very creepy and invasive. I waited inside for over half an hour for the operator to come back. It was in the 90°s outside and my vehicle recently lost its AC. My whole family had to come inside. After the operator came in he started his computer and started the contract process. He stopped every other minute and talked to us about all manner of random stuff. He was polite, but he spent more time talking than working. He asked the older gentleman if he had gotten the number off the trailer, at which point I got the number for him. The older gentleman seemed confused and was trying to find paper and pencil and the operator looked at him and complained that hhs old man has been with him for 30 years and still did know sh$t about what to do. He then exclaimed that he couldn't find a trailer number but if dropped the old guy off at a certain trailer park that the old man could find a blunt (marijuana). He the. Went on to brag about the man being able to get into some drugs. While we were waiting, a second customer had arrived wanting to rent the same size trailer. The operator sent the customer to the first place I was sent to that was closed and told him to hook up to a trailer and bring it there and he would transfer the trailer to his store. Why could he have done that to begin with? The entire experience was a trip down vr
Daniel GI purchased extra days in advance and I was then charged an additional $183 again upon return for items I had already paid for. I am very disappointed that I needed to stay on the phone with uhaul for over an hour to remove the double charge. Not good.

ROBERT SThis location is poorly situated. My truck was parked along a muddy sidewalk down the road because there was no room at the site. Whoever parked the truck left muddy boot prints in the cab. The data signal to my phone was so poor, I spent an hour trying to complete the self-checkout. (Even with U-haul's customer service help.) When the owner arrived at 8am, he didn't open the store. When I asked for his help, he said, "You have to self-checkout," pointed me to the box of keys, then walked into his store and locked the door.
