First of all I don't believe in having a credit card and apparently you can't book a uhal without one so I had to find a random person to let me us theirs a total stranger in another city luckily I did and had to pay them for their time and use of it. Then I have to pay for a deposit that I'm told will be given back to me when I drop the uhal off which is a lie so a check will be issued and sent at some point and take 2-weeks or so to get it.when I go into a business I expect that I can pay with cash and only cash and when I get charged a deposit and am told that it will be given back as soon as I drop it off I expect that to happen not a check mailed 2weeks later. I'll never again bless this company with my business again.Devin S.

The guy who issued the truck to me was so rude and he is irritable. I dont know why but the way he talk to people is really rude. Shouldnt be working in customer service if he doesnt like what he was doin. Just rudeJennalyn J.

Staff was very friendly. I felt I was really well taken care of. This was my first time renting a U-Haul, and these guys made it really easy. I would definitely do it again. I should also mention the lady who helped me book this location on the phone was extremely helpful. I would say she really impressed me with how quickly she could find an alternate location for me to pick up a van when Edmonton (my original pick up location) did not have any trucks available. She was quick thinking and made my experience very possible.Kennedy F.

Very unfriendly at the location we had picked up from. Dolly was missing chain and hook when we asked about it the guy That was there (one of owners) had a attitude about fixing the issue so we were provided with safe equipment. He also didn't do a walk around with us or record any damage to the unit, he simply made me sign and took a picture when we were hooked up. Very disappointed with the service and won't ever return to this location again!John M.
Have a representative be more accommodating while locating and hooking up the trailer. There were issues with the trailer I had pointed out but the representative didn't seem to care much about it.Dave O.

I booked the truck at Wainright AB. This is the location it gave me when i typed in Hughenden AB. I had to drive to Lloydminster to pick up the truck, which is over an hour and a half from my original location. The lady who called said she added another 115 km for the difference. Well, whatever you use to calculate your mileage is wrong, because I drove from Lloydminster, to Hughenden to Saskatoon and I still owed another seven dollars and change for mileage. also, It cost me over an hour and a half of extra driving time (3 hours on one)and fuel for two vehicles as it was that out of the way getting it from Lloydminster to my initial spot of booking. The truck cab was satisfactory. The over steer on the highway was ridiculous. At least 4 inches of play on the steering wheel, which, while going straight was aligned to be making a left hand turn. Not sure what your inspection schedule is like on these trucks, but it definitely wasn't a relaxed or comfortable trip. Over all, the truck worked for what i needed it to do. I didn't expect it to be brand new. The price was ok. just annoyed about the extra charge at the end when all I did was drive the booked trip. Seems like a cash grab.... maybe allow the proper amount of KM at the beginning. like I said minor annoyance. I would book with UHAUL again, but wouldn't go that far out of the way to pick up truck. too much wasted time and money.Terry S.

The windshield wipers on the unit were rotted and falling apart. Realized this when I needed them. Also was given a unit with almost no gas. Was given a credit but the cost of fuel far outweighed the credit. The staff was friendly.Thomas L.

The poor guy was very busy and seemed to be the only one there when we got there and his printer wouldn't work and the phones were really busy. So he said he'd email the receipt but we never received it so we had to phone to get it. However, when we phoned they were very helpful with that and it was a relatively easy to deal with them. So overall wasn't bad at all.MARK Z.

Poor attendant was waiting for switch of drop off location to come through U-Haul. U-Haul had me dropping off at a different location from what my contract said. He was very helpful but it took him 4 phone calls and a hour latter to get it straightened out! Then he had to tell me I had overage charges! U-Haul needs to be better!Brenda M.

It was all very good, except that I had to give 2 references in case something happened to the trailer. As if my friends or family would rat me out. So stupid. Also, the kid who gave me the trailer wasn't wearing a mask, and was coughing and yawning all over the place. Not what a person wants to see in the middle of a pandemic.A K.

Younger service rep when I picked up trailer, did not seem to be able to answer my questions but went through the motions. Would like more communication prior to my major move from one province to another. Communication was non existant and nerve wracking not knowing if trailer would be there??The day before confirmation is not enough to ease the nerves. A polite conversation would had gone a long way a week prior. Thank you for asking.Chad D.
Was offered and accepted the safetow insurance for $10 for a day, but when I brought it back, I was charged for 14 days, when I only wanted the insurance for the one day. They had a kid working there that tried to call a manager, who didn't answer their phone. I called the regional uhaul office who said I had to wait up to 72 hours to have the manager call me and work this out. Very unacceptable and it's a deceptive business practice by 3 guys car wash. Will not be using uhaul again if this doesn't get resolved to my satisfaction.Tyler G.
Pick-up at this location is not the greatest on the weekend. Had two experience at this location, a week apart and the only difference was the second one was less than stellar on the weekend. Oily and dirty trailer on pickup.John M.
I thought the young fellas working were excellent, they provided great customer service, but I am very unhappy with U-Haul because they charged me for two days, when I had the trailer back within the 12 hour period that I rented it for. Unacceptable. I have a complaint file opened with U-Haul, so if I get a satisfactory resolution, I will come and edit my post. Until then, I would recommend not using this service.Joshua C.

The little shit working the desk tried to make me pay for an extra day even though he watched me pull in and unhook the trailer a well before the 24hr time limit. Only after I called and complained to uhaul on the phone (even prior to my 24hr time limit) did he take action and play dumb saying he didn't know how to change the time on the computer to process my contract. Waited over one hour between check in and loading. Staff overwhelmed as two people in line for uhaul. Staff also used washroom and never washed hands or sanitizer. We are in a pandemic?!!!! Terrible service and not following Covid restrictionsCharlene H.
I booked a 20ft 2 weeks in advance knowing I needed the 20ft the day before pick up they call and say we only got a 15 ft and a 5 foot trailer I know it makes 20 ft but u don't get that hight or with so pretty much had to leave my bbq and kids out door stuff so didn't like it would recommend finding a different place to rentmike M.
My only concern with Uhaul is your vehicle needs to change there imperial to metric. Are Canadian government has changed this years ago.. This will help with rentals.Cecile E.

The guys working at this location were very busy when I returned the trailer that I had rented. Still were able to get me out and on my way quickly. The only thing that slowed them down was the U-Haul portal that they use...took quite a while to load, which was also an issue on previous visits at other U-Haul locations as well as past visits to this one. There was no one around so I returned the truck using my phone. Then a worker came out and asked me to come into the office after I'd already given her the key and completed the return online. She asked me for the mileage and all the questions I had just completed online. When I said I had already returned the truck and paid the extra mileage fees she said â€œ oh I really wish you hadn't done that cause now I don't know what to doâ€ She said I owed for the extra mileage and I told her I'd already paid it.Amanda I.
