Cool! & Just excellent!

JOSEPH PI have not had good experiences with renting trucks/vans in the past. However, the manager Mr. O'Neil (i think that was his name) at this facility on Cindy Lane in Ocean was friendly, knowlegable, patient and welcoming. The facility itself was clean and organized. The rental process was quick despite some computer issue that delayed things a few minutes. He was quick to find a solution. I would definately return business here if the need arises.

DONALD HI originally reserved my U-haul online for less than a days use. My boss asked me to call to make it for a 3-day rental. I called and spoke to Brian Ciriaco and I just have to say that not only was he professional and kind, but also patient with my boss's slight indecision on what time to pick it up. Suffice it to say, Brian was awesome!! I have and will continue to do so, recommend your services to all I know. Thank you, Brian!!

MARGARITA DI don't have any experience using UHAUL or dealing with 4 Storage of Ocean other than to rent a storage unit. I do have experience with dealing with everyday businesses and will report that my dealing with 4 Storage of Ocean was way above my usual dealings. They were helpful educating me, exercising the contract and providing the truck. It was a very positive experience for me and my family.

Ariane YThis was FABULOUS!! My son was trying for 2 weeks to rent a van for after 5:00 pm from Home Depot. They were cranky and unhelpful and nothing was ever available. I had dealt with this particular Cindy Lane, Ocean location several times in the past and had great experiences so I jumped online to see if they had vans and how fast I could get one. Night time was the best time to move since we all work. To my surprise it says I could go get one immediately! So I booked it and ran over. What a great, seamless system. I'm not tech savvy but had zero issues navigating their rental software. It gave me confidence in the whole process. Pick up was a breeze and the van was amazing, clean and huge. We fit everything in one trip. We had the van for 2,5 hours and return was as easy as pick up. Super, super impressed! If you ever need a fast and stress free truck or van rental, this is your place!

Robert SThis comment is based on renting a P. U. at your rental location in Ocean Grove, N, J. 07753, not the Ocean Twp. site indicated on the request.. When I inspected the rental, I found the right rear view mirror's cover on the door was broken &/or missing. I still wanted the rental; so I called the rental office to report the damage. They refused to allow me to rent the truck, even though the damaged mirror did not interfere with the mobility of the P. U. I cannot believe that one of your rental locations, does not check a rental when it is returned, or if returned after closing, first thing the next day. I wasted a lot of precious time getting to the site and then not being able to rent the P. U.; and then having to drive to another facility to rent a van because the site does not have P. U. to rent. The P. U. would have made the job a lot easier.
Mitchell YMatthew in the office was extremely helpful & professional. He made the paperwork process a breeze. I wish the Van didn't smell like smoke from the previous renter. The van wasn't swept out. I gave it a sweep before I returned it. I will definitely rent from this U-Haul location. It was easy, affordable and convenient.

Russell SThe rental location is convenient and the vehicle was well maintained. Unfortunately, the office is not open for rental on Saturdays, but they do offer mobile rental services which sounds great in theory, but the app is a major fail. We rented twice and had the same issues. It took over and hour and a half to work through the issues which wasted our time and tried our patience. We tried troubleshooting using the live chat which proved to be worthless. In the end, we were able to get someone from customer service handle the glitches with the app (that seem to be on ongoing issue) so that we could rent the vehicle. Our hope is that U-haul addresses the ongoing problems with their app or just doesn't offer it an option.

Chris SYour app leaves a lot to be desired. I was informed that if I go over 100 miles I would get a flat rate charge which is much more than 0,99 per mile. Nowhere did I see this when I made the reservation. Also I was overcharged for gas even though the vehicle was returned with the same amount of gas, if not more, than when I got the van. I also got a text to do an online check in, because the facility was closed. In the fine print was a $20 charge if this was not done. I feel these are questionable business practices.
John KI requested a hand truck with my truck rental, which was not loaded when I picked up. The location was closed and locked, so I marked that the equipment was not available when checking the vehicle out online. I mentioned it again when turning the vehicle in, and the employee stated I would not be charged. I received my final bill that included a $7 charge for the hand truck I did not receive. Aside from that, the entire process was smooth and easy, with no other issues.

Neilton MKeep the reservation the customer requested many days before and not wait 15mins before pick up to tell them they need to drive another half hour at another location to pick one one. Then make sure to accommodate them with money for tolls and extra gas money. Terrible experience I had

Thomas CI called Uhaul in advance. The customer service associate was more concerned about how long we were going to take to get there more than providing the service that we needed. However, it was late in the day so I could understand his haste. I inquired about price in which they presented a different rate. They never informed my cousin and i of the deposit. Moreover, they were not welcoming at all. This is not good for business. Upon arrival, I was informed of the actual amount for the deposit, so we needed to go back and get more money. When we came back, a woman had to reprocess our reservation. She was also sullen and flat. Needless to say we get the truck and we get back by 735. We were in a rush and my cousin left his keys in the van. I called and left a message to inform them. We were there at 825am in which the same sullen woman met my cousin at the door and told him he couldn't ever rent from Uhaul again. I did not give my information nor my card for the reservation and yet I receive a receipt more than a week later with the wrong address and the wrong name. Lastly, I'd like to add when I googled this establishment I received a completely different number and had to be given the correct number from a very kind man. I wish I could remember his name because he was the only one who had exceptional customer service skills and a warm Southern accent. I usually don't give places bad reviews. I do my best to support the businesses around my area however this is unacceptable. Whoever owns this establishment needs to be made aware of this and improve their processes as well as educate their staff. Good day!
latiah mThe moving help that I ordered on the U-haul website was for two workers for 3 hours. They never showed up. The mover was called "Better Call Sal". The charge of $365,95 was posted to my credit card almost instantly when I reserved the truck. The BCS guy kept saying during the week that he never received my text messages with information. It cleared showed on my cell phone screen that the messages were sent. I tried to get confirmation on Friday afternoon and then Saturday morning but I never got a text response. a couple of us had to load heavy furniture and mattresses into the u-haul truck ourselves and then into the next house. If I don't hear back from u-haul in the next 24 hours, I will call my credit card company to stop the payment.

Chris SNeed better customer service. Didn't sign a contract to start rental. Didn't have the additional equipment I asked for reservation was in over 2 weeks in advance. Had I known I would have went to another location. When dropping off rental was told drop keys on desk we will get to it and will receive email in 20 mins. There's four keys sitting there and two people not doing anything could have at least checked it while I was there. I was so frustrated at that point never again. I have been renting from Uhaul at least once a week for the last 6 weeks from one location and the service is 10 times better than this location. Never again will I rent from here.
