NICHOLAS RI usually don't do reviews but this rental experience is the worst I've ever had. Customer service was fine . Kind and polite. The truck however was filthy. The back smelled of rotten meat or a fridge was left in there unplugged for weeks. The cab had the smell of wet dog and cat urine. My wife almost lost her lunch when she opened the door to let me out of the cab. I drove 40 miles in 30 degree weather with both windows down and no heat due to the smell in the vents. Please for the love of god wash your trucks!!!!
Jaime PThis location should have 24 hour rental. Like using a combination lock on back door of truck. And when you do 24 hours they send you a combination of the lock.

Kenneth JHeadlights were not effective. Headlight lenses were not properly maintained. I only felt safe driving a max of 50 mph as I could not see far, even with high beams on! I lost many hours on my trip. Pick-up location refused to secure my vehicle to the auto transport. I had to complete myself with zero experience. One of the ratchets on the tire straps was broken. It would consistently loosen after only 30-60 mins of driving. I had to stop every hour or so over a 16-hour trip to re-install. I had an extremely poor experience with my truck.

Dave MI have never been dissapointed with equipment or service at the E Francis location. I have rented numerous times in the last month + for a lengthy in town move and cleaning out of my moms estate. John is the Assistant Mgr and is always pleasant, helpful and professional. He goes the extra mile to make it a great experience. I'll go back for any moving needs, and also any rental needs...and they have propane too! A to Z rental/ E Francis Uhaul for life!! And fyi, try to avoid the online Uhaul booking system, it's problematic to say the least. Reserve directly. Thanks John!!

Shawna NWas called from another location to drop it off and they said they would credit me $50 to do that. I called the original location to tell them and they said no I had to bring it to the original location. The gas marker when I got it said just under 5/8 and I brought it back just over between 1/2 and 5/8 they said 1/2. They were wrong $28 charge for maybe 1 gallon. Bad experience on drop off end. Would never go there again.

Nicholas KMy greatest wish is that trucks be dispatched with a FULL tank of fuel and brought back with a full tank. It is extremely difficult to measure any lesser amount using the gage.

Steven DThis location was not prepared for fitting the trailor to my car. I came in with a hitch ball that was too big and I didn't have an adapter for a four prong to seven prong plug. I had to go find these items elsewhere and come back.

Shane RThe truck functioned fine, but it smelled like cat urine. It was very strong in the cargo part of the truck, and permeated the cab. It was very intense, and quite foul smelling.

Shane RThe truck we reserved was not available. It was not available at the Place we reserved it. We were not informed of this and he had to scramble all over town to find a truck that was not the size that we wanted. Overall it was a horrible experience. I would not recommend U-Haul to anybody.
Paul MThe truck was dirty. The interior of the cab was dirty, the windshield was so covered in dead bugs could barely see through it and the back of the truck was unclean. When I showed up to pick it up, the back was open and there was a broom, no moving blankets,no hand truck just a bunch of dirt. I took the broom in to the attendant and told him about it and he just looked at me like he didn't understand English. Made sure to take plenty of photos of the damage to the truck that wasn't marked.

Roger MThe truck had zero gas when we arrived for pick up, and the entire time me and my friend were in the car, we couldn't breath. There is SOMETHING in there that actively aggravated my asthma.
Hailey RWe were told to load our heaviest items over the axles and that almost killed my vehicle going through passes, and then we had no running lights so we couldn't drive early in the morning or at night after we got pulled over for no running lights. We traveled across the country in heat and wanted to be able to drive early or night.

Marni WThe online reservation was very easy and saved so much time. The truck ran really well and was much cleaner then other places.
Victoria TThe truck was filthy and contained personal items from the previous customers like a vape pen. It was also a 15' truck when I had reserved a 10' truck, which was a huge issue because we couldn't fit the 15' truck in our final destination to unload the moving items. Bottom line, it was not the equipment I had reserved, cost me about $40 more on gas because of poorer mileage in the larger truck, and was too big to reach my final destination where I needed to unload my belongings.

MARCY RThe reservation process could be better. The original pick up location didn't have the truck I reserved and another was 35 miles away. It was moved and then had to be moved again because the second location had no vehicle there when I arrived. It was quite inconvenient because I traveled to the location by bus.

Heather SLimited selection of equipment. Staff instructions for return and rental were, "return wherever you want; truck's out there, and we don't have the moving blankets you requested." Would have been helpful to have a bit more interaction with me. For example, "call this number upon arriving and download this app, etc."

LAURA SWhy does Tacoma Uhaul charge $3000 for the same 26' foot truck that costs $700 in Spokane. Sounds like greed to me. Thanks to Spokane I saved over $200 on the rental.
Gene SI had to pick up the truck on Saturday because they are closed on Sunday. I used the truck on Sunday and returned it Monday morning I should have not been charged for 2 days, just because they are closed Sunday.

Makar SNo service, no help with a problem I had at the other location in Newport WA where I had a confirmed reservation that was not honored. No moving blankets. When I explained all the trouble I had with Uhaul, the clerk said, "Ya, Uhaul sucks, I'd never rent from them!
Richard HTruck had major mechanical issues. Was told to take the truck issued to me even though the check engine light was on. Documented the issues with uhaul.
Andrea KWorst I ever rented. Not clean, in fact filthy. Oil leaking on the ground. Had to repair it before I left the state. Numerous dents. Tire blow out because of bald tires. A/C not working properly.
