I couldn't' even tell it was a gas station, there was no Chevron sign, just a Food Mart sign. When I picked up the truck and opened up the back of the truck, it smelled like marijuana really bad for a long time. The plastic flap around the entire front window was loose and flapped the entire 14 hour trip. The black rubber under the front of the truck was loose, and screws were missing. I was charged a flat rate for the mileage, yet the mileage was around 100 miles over what I needed. I was overcharged and called to mention it, yet nothing could be done about it. I was not happy with the service at all

The AC wasn't working in the truck I rented which was unfortunate as it was very hot.

There were no personnel, and a group of folks drinking and hanging out next to the U-Haul parking area.

this place is in a bad neighborhood. Homeless, drug addicts, mentally ill, everyone laying everywhere under the bushes, on the ground and sidewalk, in any shade they can find. They are all begging for money and food. The inside of the station has a 3" piece of bullet proof glass protecting the cashier and employees so it's obvious there's been serious issues there before. Our family in Albuquerque asked why we would go to such a neighborhood for a u-haul, that that neighborhood is very bad, lots of gun violence, drugs etc, it's dangerous. So now my question to you is why would you send us there? You call me and tell me that after two weeks of a reservation you no longer have a truck (the day before my flight there mind you). You offer a free day of rental and 65 free miles if I can pick up from this location instead of in Santa Fe. Why? Why did you really change my reservation to this location? Why do you do business in this type of location? And then there is the matter of the gas tank actually being less then stated on the paperwork. So now I get ripped off for 1/2 tank of gas too. Nice. You exist because of your name, you're a brand, but it's easy to topple over once you lose support from your customers (just look at Mervyn's, Blockbuster Video, Pan Am). In my opinion you need to step up your game a bit and take more pride in your brand. Don't send your customers to seedy neighborhoods. Don't give them dirty trucks. Don't lie about the amount of gas in the vehicle, and train your location people to use your check out process.

It was parked on the dirt on the back of a gas station by itself, the chain gate was broken. There were homeless people and extremely ghetto area. The truck was dirty, the whole experience was terrible and scary.

Do not use this location. Location is in a bad part of town, talking to the person who was trying to take care of me through bullet-proof glass was not the easiest. Also, the regional dispatcher changing my reservation from an actual U-haul service center to this "gas station" is unacceptable. I had made the reservation a week in advance and the night before I was supposed to pick up the trailer, I was told that there was none available. So I had to drive 25 miles from my house to get this trailer. With that much advance notice, I feel that better planning should have been done so a trailer was located at the center where I initially needed it to be, so I didn't have to drive 25 miles and into a less than desirable part of town. U-haul needed to do better with this.

Truck was extremely dirty inside and out. Dog hair everywhere and slobber throughout the inside and windows. Sketchy location with homeless all around vehicle.

This was a very bad location to pick up the truck with a Pot Shop and very rough neighborhood, it was scary! I don't recommend this place at all!

Both places we're great, I rented a 20 ft, truck later When Picking it up, all they had was a 26ft truck, they honored the same price for a bigger truck, I knew I was going to pay a little bit more for fuel, but I got an extra 6 feet for the same price, not only that, I though I was getting a 24 hours Rent only like most rental places do, Inwas surprised yo guys gave me for the same price a 48 hours rental for the same price, Thanks You guys My pick up and drop locations we're awesome, I Will recomend everybody to use U Hhaul

There was no lighting in a very sketchy location in Albuquerque. The location was not very well maintained and unsafe.

There were bullet holes in the window and the location is down right scary. It didn't look open or professional whatsoever. There was also banana peels in my drivers cabin.

SE Albuquerque in general is a very scary & dangerous part of town and this UHaul location is right in the middle of it. As a woman, I was not comfortable being there without my husband. Wish I had thought to ask the U-Haul employee who drove me to the pickup location to stick around until I was in the truck.

The attendant was pleasant and helpful. He worked with us to make sure everything was right. The location, however, was very sketchy.

Everything was great from the persons helping me with my pick up and return! I wish I've gotten this type of experience the last time I rented with u-haul

The customer service at this location was not great when I was contacted and told my truck wasn't going to be ready in time. The only reason there are three stars is because Michelle went the extra mile to help us otherwise I wouldn't use this location.

He was very rude, wouldn't communicate with me. Cancelled what was previously set up. Finally customer service (Chelsea). Advised him he shouldn't of canceled it. After that he was even more rude gave me the keys with no communication and when I asked what was happening. He abruptly stated , you got what was previously set up put the keys on the counter and gave me a dirty look. That was the worst service ever!!!! I will never pick up from that location again and I will tell everyone I know about that center. He should lose his ability to have your trucks there. He was unprofessional and out of line. If you don't believe me, send a secret shopper there, a female secret shopper and you will see how terrible he is.

Signage to clearly indicate where to park returning UHaul vehicles.

although the employee was great, even helped hook up the dolly, the truck wasnt too clean. cigarette carton and gum still in truck, oil stain in cargo bay. the location was a small, tiny place hard to maneuver around. the employee was behind a plexiglas cage, felt a little less than welcoming. and it was not even close to my chosen location. why do you ask for a location when you change it?

Online registration was iffy. It finally worked enough to proceed. When it said to show screen to attendee, I went inside to do so but that screen disappeared and it asked me to login. When I did and passed two-factor authentication about 30 seconds later, it said my session had expired. I could not return to the screen to show attendant. Fortunately Noor could locate paperwork with his app and authorized the rental. I was using iPhone with Chrome.

The location wasn't marked. It was a gas station. I drove around 1/2 hour looking for return location. I called location...no answer. I called Uhaul for guidance, they told me it was the Chevron gas station.. (the place I had filled the truck with gas 1/2 hour previously. ) I had filled the truck FULL with gas but location charged me for 15 gallons!!! Unbelievable! I felt like if I complained, they would charge me for an extra day because it took me 1/2 he to find location because it wasn't marked. No Uhaul signs nor trucks were present. Location in VERY rough area! Bullet proof teller cage etc. Please delete this business from your assets!

Service representative did not highlight equipment operations forcing us to learn for ourselves. Vehicle was dirty, needing to be washed, at least the windshield should have been cleaned, and there was trash in the cab.

I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time that I was at this location.

The side view mirror was loose due to a stripped screw. I did not notice this until I was on the highway and almost drove another car off the road because the mirror slipped into a position from which I could not see properly. I tried twice to fix it myself, then had to take an hour out of my driving time (moving across the country) to stop at a garage and have it fixed. I assumed there would have been a basic safety check done on the vehicle, or at least that it would have been adequately maintained.

Don't worry? You won't get mugged? Just kidding. It is just an old building and wasn't clearly marked U-Haul from the main road. Once you pulled in you could see some signs. The man behind the counter was very helpful.

There was no UHaul signage and, being in an unfamiliar location, we did not feel comfortable picking up the vehicle at a gas station.

The only complaint I have was as I was trying to exchange uhauls because the first one was too small the man behind the counter kept helping other customers while he was working with me and it took 30 minutes to finish with my transaction

It looked run down and it wasn't really a U-Haul location. It was a store front in a bad neighborhood.

Clean exterior (especially windshield glass) and clean and wipe down interior cab before making available to customer.

The UHaul location online says it opens at 8am. However, the Chevron station opens at 8:30am where all the keys are kept locked inside. To be able to do the online pickup you need to get the keys from the Chevron station. We were only able to get the keys at 8:30am instead of our requested time at 8am. There should be a time change that the location only opens at 8:30am. Then the truck was not cleaned in the back and in the cab. There were pieces of glass, thumbtacks, wrappers, and sand all in the back of the truck. The cab's cupholder was sticky and there were sunflower seeds in the cupholder. Also I requested one dozen furniture pads, but I was only given 9 furniture pads. They were not in the back of the truck. I went inside to get the furniture pads. The attendant did not count the number of furniture pads and I was not given enough for my move.

The other driver returned the truck so I don't know anything about the location. It was conveniently near the airport.

Corporate management should visit locations and try to execute a rental. For it to take 45 minutes after I already checked in and had a phone check in is embarrassing.
