Truck was not clean and I was accuse of damage from the prior rental. Also, I was told to fill the tank upon return when I left with around a 1/4 tank.
Paul RI've dropped off after hours before and submitted pics, all good and convenient. But was surprised that when I walked in at drop off they didn't care what I was leaving, or where I was putting it. It was more like uhaul used part of their parking lot and not that of a uhaul rental business. I guess it goes hand in hand with the no touch - don't care when I picked up. Either way ill use you services again.
Scott TPersonal return check in would be nice. Told to park the truck drop the keys in the box. Great if business is closed but when open should check in.

Joe KShowed up this location was a keypad location only it was difficult to figure out, the truck I ordered with 2 dollys and moving pads and they were not with the truck. Since it was a self service location pretty much I will not use one of them again, I will only go to a location were you speak to someone in an office. Avoids confusion and complication.

WILLIAM OThe guy that is the supervisor of this area and maintains this area does not give you all the information before charging you. He said he would only charge me $.79 a mile I only went 100 miles so my bill should have been less than $100 plus the 39,99 fee. brandon dI was told the day before that I couldn't pick up in my preferred location or in my city at all, and that I had to pick up 40 minutes away. Later that day, I was called and location was moved again to an hour and 15 minutes out of the city in Vandalia for a different sized truck. What you can improve is greater transparency and communication about availability of equipment rather than blindsiding customers the day before when it is too late to find alternate plans -- and compensate them for the additional gas expenditures

DAVID MDifficult process for check in/check out for first time user. Store personnel were I'll informed on how it worked. No one informed me it was self service until I arrived to pick up truck. Was told manager not there and I had to come back. Floor of truck was dirty from previous renter. Not happy with it.
Jeff KI was supposed to have a dolley to help with move and it was not with uhaul. So I was charged for equipment that wasn't there

Mark UAce hardware in Vandalia Missouri was rude and acted like it was beneath them to check in U-Haul vehicle. The associate tossed the receipt my husband tried to show him for the gas back at him and said he didn't need it. I don't think this location wants to deal with U-Haul so I don't know why they're even listed as a place to return vehicles. We had our vehicle for 24 hours and we're supposed to turn it in at by 7:00 a.m. the next day. We turn the vehicle in at 1:00 p.m. the same day we got it and this company did not check our truck in until almost 11:00 the next day. I had to call U-Haul and Ace hardware just to get the truck checked in. When we turned in the vehicle the man who was very rude looked inside the truck walked, around the truck, parked the truck, and walked away without saying a word to us. We won't ever shop at Ace hardware in Vandalia Missouri let alone deal with dropping off trucks there should we ever have to use U-Haul again.
Johnathan HNeed to train more than one person on how to check return trucks in. You have to wait for the person to come in the next day to find out if you owe more money.
VICKIE GThe Ace Hardware employee was ignorant and extremely rude. He said "you're supposed to do this online before coming in. This is why I can't get anything done around here." I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone especially if they'd have to deal with him.
Brady BGive instruction to your reps on how to navigate thru the computer program for completing rental. Too much time wasted doing the transaction. Gives the customer the impression they are incompetent.

RYAN KInformation filled out ahead of time on line was useless - had to basically start all over. Process took about 40 minutes. Multiple computer glitches/issues. Had expected to walk in, show license, and walk out.
Daniel SI attempted to book a truck at a location in the town that I live in, we then found out it was not avaible there (unlike what the website stated); causing us to have to travel to another town ~25 miles away one way. There needs to be a variety of equipment at locations OR decreased mileage rate for those willing to rent but have to travel to retrieve the eqiupment. I was promised a decreased rate due to having to travel, the decreased rate was not carried over onto the bill. I rented a dolly, it was NOT on the truck when we picked up.
Alexandria FWe ordered our UHaul to be picked in Troy about 50 miles away and confirmed it would be ready. Over an hour after we should have left with our UHaul we were told we had to drive an hour the opposite direction to get our truck. The said we would get $50 guarantee but we didn't. The truck also drove like it had a swapped belt in a tire
