The back was not cleaned out when we got it. I swept it our and mopped it as well.. Other than that everything was super!

Improved training or update software for rentals. I did a re-location of an empty trailer and it messed everything up.
TIMOTHY AMaybe invest in some regular size trucks. Some people can't drive a big box truck. I feel there should be atleast. Just an idea and a thought. 2 at every location. Us older folks need need them, their easier to get into and they don't have a big heavy back door to try to open and close the door
rebecca bThe gas tank was less than full when I picked it up. When I returned it I filled it to the level indicated on the agreement instead of to full. Because it wasn't full they decided how full it was and charged me for an additional 7 gallons. I'm protesting the difference. I fulfilled my part of the agreement. In every other way this was a great experience.

So I was broke down on the side of the road for two in a half hours when the first service truck arrived with no rim or tire to fix the problem,so off he went then another service truck arrived one hour an forty five minutes later with the rim an tire ,an I was back on the road .no one listens when I first called the service for help the first time an told them I had a cracked rim .your co need better listening skills.
RUSSELL LService engine light was on when took ownership of equipment. Was not aware until after signed and was leaving parking lot. Immediately called once I noticed to the person who just rented me the equipment in the ace hardware store. And was told to call 1800gouhal, which I did. I was told to continue with the rental, however it seems as these vehicles are not well maintained, and had I been doing more than just in town moving could potentially caused a big problem. A lot of rentals are leaving state for moves and a check engine light is not good. The person who I spoke to did no diagnostic but since I reported "It was driving fine" was told to continue. I should have been offered a rental that was better maintained for what I was paying. The cost of the rental and the $/milage should be put to use to make sure these rentals are maintained and in proper working order. Everything was fine. I was able to complete my move, but not without worry if I was going to break down in the process of my 2 day move on the side of the road. There could be a number or reasons why the check engine light was on… some minor others potentially very serious. And no diagnostic or other options given to me at time of call except to carry on with the rental and call if any further problems was offered to me . I feel this is bad practice. The purpose of this company is to rent a piece of equipment that is safe and reliable to assist with moving and transport needs. I understand things happen that can not be controlled, but this was a known fact that I alerted someone to immediately and was not addressed in a proper way, in my opinion.

phil rI used express check in and still had to wait 25 minutes for a vehicle. Primarily because the person in charge was doing something else. He then had to call uhaul to find out what needed to be done. The mileage could not be confirmed by myself be there was only 28 miles before empty. That made me upset because I immediately had to put gas in the truck. The back of the truck was LOADED with blankets I didn't order. Therefore, all the blankets had to be removed in order for us to load the vehicle. This was my third uhaul rental in one year. I never had to deal with incompetence and rudeness like I did with this location. When I returned, I had to wait for the person once again and they had to call uhaul once again to find out what to do. I will NEVER use this location again.

Susan HThe young woman at the front register was left by herself to deal with many customers at the end of the day. She was awesome, smart, polite, but did not have the experience to figure things out quickly regarding rentals. We were able to piece together the problem and she solved it well, but her supporting staff, all men seemed as if they could neither care about helping her and were not concerned about the needs of people showing up that needed to be helped. In addition to this, there was an older gentleman who "helped" a black man and his child with plumbing or gas parts. He seemed very biased and rude towards the man, who clearly knew what he was doing and was demeaning to him in front of other customers. Keep the young woman at the front of the register and develop her promising skill set. The cat did a better job than the guys around her of attending to customers. He deserves a promotion immedietly. I waited over 45 minutes to leave with the rental. Not acceptable, except to say that the young woman was exceptional.

HENRY WThe time from entering pick up location to leaving with rental vehicle was nearly 2 hours. Extremely disorganized system. Several hidden fees that nearly doubled the expected rental price. Would not recommend UHaul anytime soon.

Tabitha HThe inside of the cab was a little dirty, but that's to be expected in a vehicle that numerous people use. The employee working the counter seemed like he didn't want to be there, and me getting the vehicle was an inconvenience to him. Upon return, he did not check the vehicle back in, and again acted like I was inconveniencing him by returning the vehicle.,It was checked in the next day by the manager, and I was charged an extra day rental because the employee did not do his job. The manager was nice and was able to process a refund since the vehicle was obviously returned the day before since it was sitting in the parking lot upon her arrival to the store.

Ted FNo fault of this location, but the UHaul computer system is terrible! I had to call to see if an appliance dolly was available to rent because the UHaul reservation website listed only dollies for sale at all of the locations I checked. Then when I got there, the computer wouldn't let them rent me a dolly because it had no record of one available at that location - even though a dolly was standing right next to the counter. Kudos to the agents who did some creative computing to allow us to rent it. Notably, we had other problems trying to rent a UHaul trailer from a different location recently. Surely UHaul's IT people can make this better!

Ira GThe truck was not ready for us at 7:30. Had to show up at 10 when they opened. Truck was bouncy and wobbly brought back they said it was OK. We were three hours behind on moving. Will not rent from U-Haul again

Betty TMy equipment wasn't checked in at the drop-off, so U-haul's first response was to imply that I am guilty of grand theft of a trailer. I'm not upset with the person at the Ace Hardware for failing to enter my return into the computer (there are a lot of new people in new jobs now), but I'm furious with U-haul for accusing me before investigating anything. It turns out that being falsely accused is one of my hot buttons. If you had competition, you would turn into Blockbuster Video.

Nathan WThe frustrating part is that I had to drive a hour from my house to get the truck, then another 45 minutes to another location to get the car hauler, then over 30 minutes to get back to my house to finally start loading!

jim dHave someone that can do U-Haul drop offs on site. People there were very nice but they had to call someone to process the drop off.
Toni OThey asked if it was okay to pick up the Uhaul in Energy, IL but did not inform me that I would have to also drop it back off in Energy. I had the expectation of still dropping it off in Carbondale which is where I initially ordered the Uhaul from. It put me in a bind with trying to store the Uhaul overnight while we waited for the Uhaul facility to open back up. If I had been informed that the new pick up location was going to be also the drop off location we wouldn't have had such a hard time storing our Uhaul.
Nathan TThe folks there were wonderful, but it was a fair distance from our original starting point. Additionally, our starting point was a MUCH bigger population center than where we did pick it up. I wish it was more convenient.
