Fix your online processes: many pick up steps could have been completed before I went to pick up. Have more agents on during busy times. I finally went into the office to complete check in.

Acorn Mini Storage is centrally located and the staff was generally helpful. I was annoyed that a staff member called me about the number of moving blankets I requested for my rental 5 minutes before the office closed on the day before our rental, so when I called back 7 minutes later to confirm I wanted to make a change, nobody answered and the change was not made. On the whole, our rental experience on the whole was quite poor, and this seems to be a running theme with most moving companies when we pick up our truck at a third party location. We arrived at 8 AM to pick up our truck, and when I tried to complete the online check-in (because Acorn did not open until 9 AM), the U-Haul website continued to tell me that my location services on my phone were not on, which was false. My wife was able to get through to fill out the required information, but then we were stuck waiting for a U-Haul representative to verify the info for nearly 40 minutes. We were supposed to start our move at 9 AM, and we were delayed by an hour because of this. I will not rent a truck from U-Haul again.

You need to fix the online and app user experience. The online and app experience was horrible. I had to scan/enter drivers license 3 times as well as most info (everything other than my name). The truck and people were top notch. You should be embarrassed by your digital engagement.

Your computer systems were down, causing SERIOUS delays in check-in and availability of the truck. It wasn't until 11am until I was able to get my truck vs. 8am. The truck had terrible shocks, like riding on a boat on water.

I reserved a 15' truck two weeks in advance for a 12 hour rental. Within five minutes of making the reservation, I amended the rental to a 24 hour rental and received confirmation. The night before my 7 am rental pick-up, I received a voice mail informing me the rental was changed back to 12 hours, giving me well less than 24 hours notice of the change. Upon mobile pick-up, the truck was missing the appliance dolly and dozen furniture pads I requested. The padlock on the back of the truck did not work. There were no directions provided for where to drop off the truck at the end of the rental period, as the location was closed. Given that the location was closed, I do not understand why the truck rental period was changed from 24 to 12 hours. I notified U-Haul customer service about the issue and was told the local branch would call me to correct the appliance dolly and pad omission, but I never received a call. When I went to the local branch to pick up the furniture dolly after they opened, the staff was brash and unprofessional. I am incredibly displeased with the experience and could not recommend this branch to anyone.

I rent storage space here and have rented trucks and vans. Excellent service. Vehicles are nearly new. I actually rented at a different location first but they didn't follow thru! Told me to go elsewhere. So I did!

Equipment was clean and maintained but there was no ramp in the truck. We were moving a piano! Too late to go get one when time to load. Also, I rated the site low because staff not wearing masks and no hand sanitizer was available if needed.

Equipment was in good condition and worked. The online system seemed a bit clunky though. I received a text 2 days prior to enter in my license ahead of time to only have to repeat the steps and require additional information that wasn't presented as required earlier (when I could have made sure it was on me). The only option was to have a secondary contact, which the phone call was marked as spam and sent to vm immediately on their phone. We got it worked out but if I'm going to get a please prefill information to not be used and missing things actually needed, some improvements should be made.

Absolutely no oil in the truck no oil available at acorn we had to drive and purchase oil and put it in ourselves or they would have given us a different truck and we would of had to completely unload and reload the truck i returned the truck on time did not know how to do verification on my phone was never told i would have to do that called them next morning during office hours asked them to call me back they never did I will never rent a uhaul truck again from acorn

I had a very frustrating experience with the personnel at this location. The woman who got me set to go in the morning was friendly, but apparently told me wrong information about when they needed the truck back. She told me, directly, that I didn't need to get the truck back until the next day at 8am, even though on my reservation I had planned to only use it until 2:30pm that day. However, it was an exhausting move so I decided to take them up on the longer offer. However, at 3:30pm I got a call from another woman who began to get noticeably upset with me as I explained why it was that I hadn't returned the truck. She did not take responsibility for the faulty communication but instead directed her frustration at me and demanded that I get the truck back as soon as possible, then hung up promptly. So to say the least, as the customer, it was really upsetting to receive contrary information at different times, have no one take responsibility for that communication mistake, and then be treated as if I were to blame. Very unprofessional.

I had to waste 40 minutes trying sign into the U-Haul app. Of course, even though this was your fault, you did not extend the time allowed under the rental so I had to hurry to get back by 5:00. By far the worst experience I've had with you. I will be looking at alternatives that don't have issues they won't resolve.

Don't charge customers for equipment if you aren't going to provide it. Improve your app so customers don't have to sit outside the lockbox for over an hour making 5 calls to customer service to fix repeated errors just to get key code and access vehicle. Make it clear the hours of the location when a customer is scheduling a pick up so they don't have to use the terrible app to do it.

I made my reservation online and everything went very smoothly. The people at the location were quite pleasant and helpful. Over the years I have used one of the Uhaul only locations and there has often been a wait because they are so busy. I didn't have that problem here. It was very quick. I will probably come back to this location if they have the truck I need.

The entrance to the lot is confusing- big sign on Lowry is where you'd assume you would turn but it's on the next corner. The reservation was in order, the office receptionist was pleasant and efficient, drop off was easy. Good experience.

The ladies here were very nice and accommodating. It was a lot less than I thought it would cost. Truck was clean. Checking it out and the return process was very quick. The owner was on site both times and explained things very well. They also offered me coffee and cookies both times. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!

I rented a van from Acorn and U-Haul and was unable to get more than six blocks away from the building due to the vans inability to drive in the snow or even on a flat surface!! I got stuck 3 times in 6 blocks. When I return the van and told them it wouldn't work they charged me are you kidding me! The lady couldn't even park the van in the parking lot and stated yeah that things no good in the snow! Then why rent it to me?

I reserved a truck for 10:00am on a Saturday. I got there at 10:00. I was told there were two reservations for the same type of truck at 10:00, but only one was available. The specific truck that was "reserved for me" was the "available" one. I would have been very upset if I was told that the truck for me was not available, even though there was a functioning truck available and the other person hadn't shown up to get their truck. Imagine if you had a dinner reservation for 8:00pm. You show up at 8:00, get told that there are two 8:00 reservations but only one table available. I bet you'd be upset if they didn't give you the available table because that one was specified for the party that hadn't shown up yet. I didn't rent a specific truck. I reserved a functioning truck. I showed up on time, before the person with the other reservation. Denying me the one functioning truck because it was reserved for the other person (who was not there yet) would've been ridiculous. Get it together!

The van itself was clean, but the tires were terrible, the van had a hard time driving over the tiniest bit of snow. However, customer service was great. Tracy was AMAZING, she really made my day. This was my first U-Haul experience and she made sure I understood everything clearly and had a really great attitude in general.

I asked if the lady at the front desk need my reservation number, she said no she just needed a name. I told her my name, which is in another language and hard to understand how it was spelled out. So I spelled it out for her. I don't know what part confused her but she some how thought that wasn't my name, she started back at me and told me she just needed a name. I don't think I have a heavy ascent AT ALL. I repeated my name again, and I spelled it out for her again, she still did not understand, util my boyfriend, American spelled it exactly the same way for her, then she looked at him and said : thank you, sir. She told me that oh XXX that was your name? She pronounced it completely wrong, if I just pronounced it for her she will never be bale to find my name! I don't know if she just judges me because I am young or I have a ever slightly ascent. Never felt so offended in my life... Go to some other locations for your U-HAUL. The truck was great but the service at this location is horrible and disrespectful.

Nothing. Customer service was excellent! Tracy had the truck warmed up for me because it was a cold morning. I was greeted right away by both women in the office (including Tracy) as soon as we walked through the door on the return. Awesome service.
