Horrible service and misleading info

Araiza A.The uhaul broke down on me 4 times before I even made it to my final location and then got stuck and had to call again for a second time to come and retrieve the vehicle before it was brought to a service station. I should be receiving a refund for how long it took me to make it my final destination and the troubles I had to go through just make it home and unpack the truck. It also took over 2 hours between 4 am and 6:30 am just to get a hotel room by uhaul at a hotel 8 that smelt like marijuana and curry to sleep for less than 3 hours before uhauls tech showed up to clear computer codes for an issue with the truck that persisted for the remainder 500 miles I had to drive to make it home. Stopped at several auto zones to clear the clear the code to get the truck out of limp mode. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall experience that cost me $6,000+ dollars. Refund is definitely required to make the situation right.
Kyle T.Condition of the vehicle was terrible. Alignment was severely offâ€"had to steer 30 degrees to the right to stay straight. Fuel tank had an issue with the evap system which caused the gas station handles to shut off after every 1 gal filled. The mom's attic leaked water. The alternator seemed to not function properly causing the truck to struggle to start.
Brian A.Make sure that the rear of the truck is cleaner than normal. As I opened the rear door a sheet of paper fell and it has what seemed like a managers notes. And there were a few screws on the most forward section that was raised to eye level. I still would rent from that location again purely because of the employees. The are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.
delafayette B.The staff were nice. My reservation was not delivered according to my confirmation. I ordered a van and was given a 9 ft truck. I couldn't drive it into my unit as I would have a van , that I confirmed with a reservation, therefore causing me to walk a fair distance when loading and unloading. This delayed my time and caused me to return the truck later than expected. I returned the tank full and was charged for 2 gallons of fuel. I am not pleased with my first experience at all.

Jason M.This location had no furniture dollys or furniture pads available. Had they notified me of that when I placed the reservation I could have switched to a different pickup location with the needed equipment. Instead I learned 15 minutes before my reserved time for my apartments service elevator/moving truck bay that my dad and I would have to hand carry all the furniture we planned on simply placing on the pads and dolly. It made moving day a much more tiring and frustrating experience than it had to be.

Richard S.Staff was very helpful in getting the trailer hooked up, lights tested. The cost seemed a little out of line with what I had seen for UHaul for a trailer rental. It was six times what I paid for a similar trailer five years ago. Maybe since I was moving from CA back to TX?

David M.I drove 20 miles and filled the tank back to half (2 gallons). They then charged me for 3 gallons of gas which does not make any sense. I would like that charge refunded as soon as possible. I already put in a request and am waiting to hear back from a district manager.

DAVID M.put cruise control in all vehicles. first it's the safest way to operate a vehicle on open highway, second it saves a lot of fuel, third it's easier on the driver. Honestly i may never rent from uhaul again i've no cruise control fir 1500 miles. AS A WOMAN I FELT UNSAFE !

Jeremy D.I tried to rent my U-Haul in El cajon. When I called to pay two days ahead they said oh we don't have your truck. No one told me there was a chance that what happened. The lady told me they should have told you but they didn't. Then we picked it up in North Park and they didn't have the dolly oh sorry we can't guarantee it again no one told me they I might not get a dolly everything I was quoted included a dolly. One of many phone conversations prior to picking it up with someone who was totally a knowledgeable and rude. Overall I got the truck and it got me where I was going. Not without a couple hours of hassle on the phone.
