U-Haul insisted that I return to a different location, than I had to stay on phone with them for 30 minutes to get any help. My last trip ever with U-Haul. Promised me a 50 $rebate if my order was incorrect, but they won't do itANDREW R.

I already discussed this. The truck they were supposed to have for me was 'missing' and rather than send me somewhere else it was decided over a series of phone calls throughout my morning to give me a truck with damage in the back, really poor alignment, and NO gas. So not only did my schedule get completely thrown off, but I also had to put 75 $of MY MONEY into the truck before I could even use it! This without anyone telling me how far this truck went per gallon or any information on the truck's issues. I had no idea how much gas to put in, because I certainly didn't want to have to stop again later. This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had renting a truck.MARNI C.

My vehicle was very dirty and when I replied to the question of wether it was clean enough to rent again, I was charged with cleaning although I definitely did not dirty it. Also, I was charged for a cart although it was never put in the truck. I replied to their questionnaire at the end of the rental with both of these issues yet was still charged.Terri K.

Very difficult to find. It ended up being a 2 car garage, no one present except 2 parrots in cages and a computer blasting. We finally noticed a written phone number on the door. A women answered and instructed us that the truck was in the yard; "Go over the second dirt mound and look for the number then call back" The lady was very polite but the walk to the truck was treacherous. Very Dirty vehicle inside and out. I needed to disinfect inside of cab (especially with COVID 19 this was surprising). Top of truck leaked overnight with all my daughters furniture and boxes (I took video). This was real bad! Drop off - man in garage â€œyou can't leave it here I have too many Uhauls alreadyâ€. I had to wrestle him to accept it and finally he gave in. Never Again - 350 $will end up costing me a pretty penny!Scott S.

Truck battery died on the way to my destination. Road side assistant was over 2 hour wait, a person on the road ended up helping me before roadside assistance could since it was over 2 hour wait. No one was at the lot when I arrived for my reservation, nor when I dropped off again, both during business hours. Luckily I'm strong enough to attach trailer myself (I even had to help another customer attach their trailer). Also, the lot is tiny and a pain in the neck to maneuver in. An absolutely terrible way to conduct business, I don't know how UHaul justifies using Al's Auto as one of their locations. I'm not a lawyer, but I imagine there are some serious liabilities in having customers do the attaching themselves before getting on the road. Besides all that, it'd be pretty easy to drive off with a trailer with UHaul not knowing...Jonathan R.

I wasn't aware that there was no person attending this location. Did not expect to have to unhook and park the trailer alone. Called the # and was told if I needed help that I would have to find another location for drop off; could not assist me with another location either as I was told to call the 1-800 number. Luckily a passerby was able to assist me and the trailer was unhooked. Received a call from the drop off location the next day asking me when I was planning to bring the trailer back as they had no idea it was already dropped off the day before.Sherri P.
When I arrived at the location, I was met with a locked door with a phone number posted to call for service. When I made the call a lady answered and directed me to the opposite side of the building where a number of trucks and trailers were sitting in a lot, unorganized, and difficult to gain access. When I asked for help to attach the trailer, I was told there is nobody on site and I would have to hook the trailer up myself. This meant I had to pick up the tongue and maneuver it around to the hitch on my vehicle by myself. I had to maneuver my vehicle around other trailers to get it to the trailer I needed without any spotter to help guide me. The trailer was on uneven ground in the dirt, which meant I HAD TO PULL THE TRAILER UPHILL, ALONE! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Then, with my chronic bad back, I had to lift the tongue and attach the trailer and pigtail by myself. Oh, and there was no pigtail on the trailer. I was told to grab one off of another trailer. I had a conversation with my neighbor who went through the same ordeal with this vendor. He was inexperienced with connecting a trailer to a tow vehicle so he opted to just leave since there was no one on site to assist him. This vendor should no be allowed to rent for U-Haul unless there is someone on-site to assist customers!!!Jeffrey J.

1) My assigned truck was locked at the original location, and no one was available to help as I was told there would be. So, I had to drive to a completely different location. 2) At the second location the dolly I requested was unavailable, which led to me having to go back to the original location for the dolly. 3) The inside of the cabin was absolutely filthy. The floors were dirty and several items left in the truck. I do NOT plan on using U-Haul ever again.Charles D.

With this stupid pandemic going on, the contactless pickup and drop off went very smoothly. The online check in portion was very simple with the step by step instructions. I have used U-Haul for all my moving except 1 time and I have since gone back to U-Haul because I was not pleased with the service I was provided by the other company. Uhaul, not exactly this "franchise" is again my worst experience. 1. I made a reservation 7 days in advance for a 24' truck 2. I went personally day before to reconfirm 3. At 8: 30 pm on Sunday I was notified about cancelation of my reservation 4 as an alternative, Uhaul gave me a new one for a20' truck to be picked up 18 miles away from the original place which was just 2 miles away from my house which meant I had to drive 36 (yes 36) miles MORE than expected 6 I was "pinged pong" from 3 different Uhaul customer service numbers while trying to get authorization to drop off at the nearest location (the original) 7 Results: " Sr. It's what it is" it's your problem not us! So you have to pay those 36 plus miles.... Complete Nightmare!MIGUEL S.
There was no one working on the day of my pickup and drop off. So it was up to my by myself to lift the trailer onto my hitch and connect everything. Luckily I was able to but what if I was an older person or was not physically able to lift it and connect everything??JOSEPH S.

Entire transaction was handled over the phone even at the pick up location we were sitting around to the behind the building to a clay mud pit that was full of water we had to locate our truck get the keys out from under the seat then she told me to pick a car trailer and give her the number get it hooked up and take a picture of it and send to her and it was muddy and nastyKENNETH N.

I picked up on a Sunday so the office was not open but I was able to easily make contact with the owner by phone. As I approached the rental truck, vagrants appeared from the bushes behind the truck and startled me. I immediately retreated to my son's car and he went back with me. My suggestion to the owner is to cut all of the brush down in the area and get police assistance with the vagrants!Kimberly W.

The truck I had selected to rent had the trailer hitch still left on it. And the dolly I had also opted for was not even in the vehicle, nor was there a place to put it so it didn't move. Loud bangs in the back of the truck whilst moving because the dolly would slide around and hit the inside of the truck.Ryan P.

Trucks are sitting in an empty lot in HUGE puddles of mud making it impossible to pick them up without getting soaking wet & possibly having the truck get stuck in deep mud pits. The vehicles are inconveniently stored on complete opposite sides of the same plaza as the equipment (dollies, blankets, etc) & there is no one physically at this junk yard to assist you. The dolly we reserved wasn't available & had to be brought from another location. The blankets we rented were stuffed in the back of a filthy, abandoned car full of mosquitoes & spiders and were wet & moldy. There was trash strewn everywhere from an overstuffed dumpster that wreaked of sewage. The truck interior wasn't clean at all, so we had to Lysol it down ourselves to ensure proper Covid measures were taken. We have numerous pictures to corroborate everything above. This is the worst location to deal with, very disorganized, filthy & unprofessional system in place.marlen V.
