Wow - terrible experience! The truck had obviously not been inspected. There was a six-pack of Shiner Bock beer and an old pillow in the cargo area. The back tire was dangerously low, and I was told "our air pump isn't working--you can go to the gas station across the street." Don't you know that was a very stressful time looking for a gas station with air!!!!! The truck was very difficult to back out, and I was told by the lady leasing it to me "I don't know how to drive a Uhaul truck, you'll have to get it out yourself." The convenience store at which the Uhaul trucks were located was clearly NOT a Uhaul dealer. They were closed when I returned the truck, and there was no drop-box for the key, so of course I did not leave the key in the truck. I made another trip back the next morning to return the key, worried all night that they would charge me for an overnight rental. UHaul people--YOU SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS STORE TO HAVE A UHAUL DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!

My reservation was changed from 24 hr rental to 4 hr rental and my dolly was dropped off of the order. The location worked with me on it but it was a huge pain in the butt and removed any confidence or trust I had for U-Haul

AL had trouble getting the u haul app up on his phone, the U haul smelled like cigarettes or something and there were ashes all over the place. The dozen blankets i had rented were not in the U haul and I have yet to be reimbursed. The 10 bucks is no big deal but I really needed the blankets for the glass. I did everything online and I was a prisoner there for 45 minutes.No competition equals complacency.

-The exterior of the vehicle was dirty, windows were filthy inside and out. -I was quoted a certain price and after return the total of the rental was almost triple what I was quoted. -I was charged for gas 15,30 $ when I put more gas in the tank than what was started with. How is it that I drove 16 miles and used five gallons of gas? -I was charged 25,00 $ for cleanup after return when the vehicle was swept clean prior to return. -No one could explain why there is a Rental Rate and Rental Charge? -I was charge 20,00 $ for twelve pads when I only received ten and used only two of them. I am a Realtor in Central Texas and usually refer my clients to UHaul, but after this experience, I will never refer or use UHaul again! -

I was double charged for mileage. 25 miles x 0,99 prior to using the truck. Then actual mileage used 20 x 0,99

My return was a nightmare. A ridiculous series of events that "if" trained personnel are present none of this would have happened. My contract #24997949 I rented 5/5...but returned "early" on 5/8. I returned to Al's Mart. This place dubious...but real problem with what UHaul told me I could do. I turned truck in full of gas clean, etc. I returned truck keys to "guy" behind counter. He was an employee. I asked if this is correct place, what do we do, etc...he said give me the keys...he looked up contract...said ok we're good in twenty minutes see your receipt in email listed. I waited. No receipt. Wait some more. Call #800 UHaul # no help at all! Then got area mgr ( Javier in San Marcos #210.896.9594) on phone because of shoddy behavior on employee and employer to resolve. May go Penske next time...

This location is all self service. Make sure to sign up for pick up before arrival, thru your phone. Store owner is very friendly and helpful. Location is open later than most due to being a gas station.

The man used his phone to file everything with uhaul. They didn't have a computer and wasn't wearing a mask. He then later stated there was a cleaning fee but could not explain to us what exactly we hadn't cleaned.

Clean the interior of the truck. Smelt like cigarettes. And then you charged an extra 25 $cleaning fee, when you should be comping me for the shit side mirror that was being held up with electrical tape and could not be adjusted. Will not use your business again if no response is given to this.

Too small of a location to hold the rentals apparently. Tried to return it the next day ahead of schedule and there was no room to park it so we were instructed to return it to a different location. There was no mention of being charged an extra fee for doing so. Rented a UHAUL for 30 miles/24 hours and have been charged a total of 316 $. Customer service over the phone has been very helpful in disputing these charges and I appreciate it but I'm very upset with this whole experience.

Tried to scam me for 25 $cleaning fee over a dust spot on the seat, claiming it was a coffee stain. Two witnesses to attest there was no stain and photos supported that claim. This dealer should be fired from the U-haul dealer network.

The place was dirty and very odd part of town. I made it 30 mins before the place closed yet he charged me after hours turn in. Then had charged a cleaning fee I swept the inside and wiped down all the inside since COVID era on top of this truck being super clean when I picked it up and I gave it back in that condition plus additional gas. Highly pissed they charged me 45 extra bucks for that. Never using Uhual again.

Worst experience ever. The cashier was unknowledgeable. He gave us a truck that had someone else Lock on it and they couldnt help up so we had sledge hammer it until it cracked. Then they charged us more for it cause we had the truck longer trying to get the lock off. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Notify the pickup location that customers have registered online, give them the confirmation information so the vendor don't have the customer register again in the store. I had to register again and ended up with 2 registrations and he requested 3 extra names and phone numbers in order to get the truck.

The first truck I had reserved was trashed. It looked like someone had vomited in it. Driver mirror was cracked, and top was dented. I had a reservation at 5:30 didn't leave the lot until about 6:15 and I had checked in prior, but it was due to having to retrieve a different uhaul. I left the lot a lot later than expected, and wasn't given my rental lodging equipment such as my dollies. When I came to return the truck I told the person I never received my dollies and wanted a refund for them since I was charged, and he blamed me for not checking before I left. Also whenever they were retrieving me the new uhaul, I had to submit a new payment, and now I'm charged twice on two cards. The overall experience was horrible, and I would not recommend others to use uhaul.

Gentleman would not check me in at that time, said to just drop off and he would check in later. I noticed he charged me a cleaning fee of 25 $when I returned the vehicle in much better shape than when I received it, completely cleaned in front cab and back box; he also charged me 5 $for fuel when I returned it in the same level as what I picked up in.

The gas station was fairly run down and it was difficult to communicate since the person I dealt with most was new and did not speak English well. Other than that, they were nice enough and helped me turn in my rental.

We need to make one load from our old apt then pick up belongings in a vehicle we traded in. We were able to get this done in about 4 hours. Applying online was very simple and easy. Thank you for making our experience a fast and convenient for my family of 4. I appreciate the cashier at the pick up for being friendly.

Dropped off truck at around 4the day before it was due. I was told they could not check in the truck because it wasn't due until the next day. Then the afternoon of the day it was due I was sent a text asking if I needed more time with the truck. It was supposed to be checked in by 10 am. I didn't get a receipt or anything showing I dropped it off.

The staff was terribly rude. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. During pickup and during drop off the service was poor. We received the uhaul with the gas tank on E. They never answered the phone when trying to inquire about the gas. The male cashier during drop off treated us so poorly and Forced us to fill the truck even though we received it on E. When we complied and filled it a quarter he demanded more and cursed at us. Please have someone contact me about this issue. I am appalled that they would treat a customer in such a manner.

I was charged for two days for returning the U-Haul less than an hour late. A specific return time was never specified to me. I received a text return reminder text after the U-Haul was due and the contact number was out of service. No attempt to correct the situation was made. I would not recommend this location to anyone

Awful experience; your representatives tried to over charge me for items I did not reserve nor received. I requested and reserved a dolly and did not receive it when I picked up the truck. The location said they do not ever carry dollys nor get them from uhaul. Customer service charged my card multiple times and continued to be negligent to what was actually reserved initially. Very stressful and I feel I was still overcharged. I will NOT be using uhaul again in the future.
