Arrived to pick up the vehicle and my online check in hadn't worked so we had to do a manual check in. Then, when returning the vehicle, auto check out didn't work but it was after hours so I had to just leave the key in the drop box. I am sure I will get charged the extra 20 $even though it was not my fault.ANDREW R.
I believe her name was Nicole. Please forgive me if that's incorrect. It's at the gladstone location off of 72nd St. She went above and beyond I ever expected any uhual employee to ever go for me. I was in a bad situation and she helped me out more than she can ever imagine. Best customer service I've had hands down. I registered for a one way with a dropoff in the destination city. I trusted the service location for pickup to meet my needs of request and it turned out they made the pickup location also be the dropoff location. It was a significant annoyance and inconvenience. The return process took an hour because the parking lot was full and not well lit and getting pictures was extremely difficult in the dark. There was also some kind of web page error that made me restart the return process 4 times to get photos to upload. I also couldn't get any help because the wait time on hold was over an hour. I could not use the online app to return the vehicle. I activated location services but still said they could not confirm my location. Spent 30 mins in the hot sun before finally giving up and dropping the keys in the box. Tried calling 800 number was told there was a 34 minute wait. Not happy!!!JOHN H.

I requested a furniture dolly and 2 utility dollies. They were not in the truck. I had to drive to another location to get the 2 utility dollies and ended up not getting a furniture dolly which really caused a lot of trouble during my move. All of this because the reservation I originally made showed that all dollies would be included with the reservation. I then called uhaul because they said your reservation is right or we will give you 50 $. A guy sent me an email offering 30 $off my next service. Ridiculous!!!!James B.

Make sure the equipment is functioning when we pick up. Trailer light wouldn't work and instead of fixing it there they had us drive to Tiffany springs which was 20 minutes away from where we neeeded to be on an already long drive.BRANDON R.

The only thing I have to complain about is the app for self check in. When asked to take a picture of the fuel gauge and mileage the page wouldn't accept the picture download after many attempts. I then called a CSR and the recording stated there would be an 89 minute wait. What I determined to be the problem was it appears that 1 picture on the page is all that is needed before you push continue button. The case being you have to download the same picture twice. Otherwise the move was a good experience.George S.
Nicole and CJ were great to work with! CJ was polite and courteous during the check out and check in process!! We rented the new 9' cargo van and it worked out perfectly for our needs for an out of town trip. Smooth riding and tons of storage. I recommend that more than one person be available to help with check out or allow it to be more automated. The lady was very nice but having to answer the same question you did online to reserve the equipment just takes up way to much time. They should know when you have several people picking up at the same time extra help is needed.AARON R.
This was a great experience. You are able to do it all contactless using your phone if you chose, although the mobile option wasn't super convenient. It's got like 15 steps as opposed to just walking in an getting keys from a real employee. But the uhaul was clean and just what I needed.Joy B.

The only problem I had was that we arrived and the store front was blacktop with trucks all around, and wasn't exactly sure where is was supposed to drop it, out back or on the blacktop, I found some blocks and left it chocked where it was on the blacktop. Couldn't reach anyone on the phone to give a little guidance, otherwise the whole rental went well.WILLIAM B.

I received an invoice that had a cleaning fee tacked on. When I emailed the corporate office, William Goldsmith replied that it was reported that there was trash and cigarette ashes in the truck. We don't smoke. So I called the local office and spoke to the manager. She was prepared for a fight...I tried to explain we don't smoke and she went off, talking over me, telling me all her credentials, how some renters scrub and take the trucks to a car wash (irrelevant) and we left trash everywhere, unopened drinks under the seats (what? We didn't check under the seats before renting...not ours) a Gatorade bottle (hubby now admits that was his) a mask on the floor (hubby doesn't remember that) ashes everywhere (definitely not from us). I had to ask this woman to stop talking over me so I could get a word in edgewise. I will never use this facility again. I've used the Vivion and Antioch location many times with absolutely no issues, not once.Larry H.

I had problems logging into the website to check the truck back in to enter my final mileage. I left a voicemail and attached my mileage note to the key before placing into the dropbox. If returning after dark the area seems poorly lit and appeared very creepy. It may be best to install lighting activated by movement or some other type of economical lighting that would enhance the feel of security.LARRY M.

You failed to mention the dealership on GAR highway, Swansea MA, where the truck was sent to for pickup. The trailer was 35 miles away in Foxboro, and I had to drive there in the truck at my expense to get it. I returned to the Swansea dealership to get my car placed on the car trailer, as promised over the phone at the 800 number. The dealer said "we don't do that here." I asked who does. "You do," he said. When I said I know nothing about trailers and could not safely put my car on it, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. You call this customer service? I am a disabled veteran, I could not crawl under a trailer and wrap chains around an axle if I knew how. I had to get someone to drive my car and follow me to another dealership who does put cars on trailers. I understand your "dealers" have no rules or procedures to follow, and they are not required to place cars on rented car carriers. Untrained customers are told to do it themselves. This is not just lousy service, it is a danger to the public to allow untrained customers to put their own cars on rental trailers. I am contacting the DOT to advise them of this danger you allow on our highways. I advise you get your shit straight rather than whatever the hell you think you are doing.Ralph R.
