It all went well, thank you. They were helpful and friendly. It would have been nice to have a motorcycle-specific trailer as the 5x9 was quite heavy to tow.
ED IWhen i picked up my truck and trailer the guys were friendly and helpful. However i was told i would be credited at destination for unused km's and days, i returned it 5 days early and over 1000km under what was included. I was denied any refund or credit for anything and was informed by both the return location and uhaul head office customer service that no such credit exists for one way rentals and the pick location lied to me.
Jesse DIt was not my preferred pick up location, but the young gentleman was very friendly and assisted with the hitching of the trailer to my vehicle.

Robin MThe trailer had some frozen mud on the floor. I had to remove most of it before loading so it wouldn't be transferred to the furniture. When I returned with the trailer it was very difficult to undo the hitch. The turn knob needs to be lubricated. I needed to call someone to help me unscrew it (the location was closed when I returned the trailer). First time this has happened, so hopefully it will be better next time.

EDEIGBINI OGreat service at this location. However it was a bit stressful that uhaul could not garentee that I would get a trailer for the date and I time booked. I tried to book a month in advance but rhey would not commit until a couple of days before. Hard to plan a move !
John GI was very surprised to get a call from a North Vancouver UHaul dealer 12 hrs before my rental in OTTAWA when it was booked months ahead I believe we were fortunate in even finding the equipment we booked although we had to drive an extra two hrs to get it again despite reserving months in advance They're was a serious disconnect between the central reservations system and the loca dealers I hope you are able to correct this

Jeff BOur truck had two spots where it was leaking in the roof. It rained all day and our boxes were damaged due to the water. We ordered a dolly as well, but the location did not have one available when we picked up the truck. They said we had to drive to another location if we wanted one.

EDDIE SThe final location was great however the overall rental experience was absolutely horrible. Received multiple phone calls canceling and adjusting my rental. I booked a trailer a month in advance and as late as 3 days before scheduled reservation I was spending over an hour trying to solidify a trailer after being told the one I needed and booked was not available. I ended up having to settle for a trailer I did not want as they left me with no time to search out an alternate company. Very stressful and horrible experience.

Asif MThe guys that took care of me were quick, efficient, clear with instructions and extremely professional. (I have to say that I chuckled when I returned the van. The one guy asked my approximate distance that I was going to travel, so I told him to the University, a couple stops, across the causeway, then back to the Uni than back up to AquaBay. He approximated my kilometres at 40. I had no clue so said, okay. When I returned the van, the kilometres were exactly 40. Not only is your staff all of the above positives, they sure know Kingston :) Thanks again for an amazing experience. So very much appreciate the great customer service.
Leslie HI hope this goes to the regional or national level as the location rep, Steve was amazing and is already aware of the points/suggestions below. I signed up online for a rental at 7am Apr 29 in the east end, on hiway 15 (Petro Canada) as that's where I live. My requested truck was only available at the Midland location (Aqua Bay) understandably as it was end of month etc. When I arrived at Midland/Aqua Bay around 7:30, I completed the online check-in and it told me the truck was at the hiway 15 location. I drove back to that location and pulled in to see an empty lot. The attendant there confirmed it wasn't there, so I drove back to the Midland location. Once there I had to call for assistance at 8:30. After holding for awhile the attendant reactivated my reservation time to 9am (said it expires 15 minutes after the res time, which is crazy, and likely inaccurate) and I completed the online check-in again. The red, visible key box was empty so I waited til 9 when Aqua Bay opened. They showed me a black side mounted key box on a black fence behind one of the trucks, where the key was. Also, the essential appliance dolly wasn't present in the truck. Thankfully the U Haul rep Steve was fantastic, and sent me to the Princess location where they loaned me one without delay. My day was to drive to Hamilton to pickup a 600 lb fridge and 300 lb wall oven as well as drop a patio table (4 stops plus 2 gas stops) so time was of the essence and so was the dolly. The registration/location fiasco and dolly pickup cost me 2+ hours so my day started after 9am and then ended at 3am. As mentioned, Steve was amazing, understanding and provided solutions throughout as well as a credit for my time and inconvenience. However, the sign out process and location display online could be problematic for many customers.

Adrian CThe first attendant could not get the electrical component to work. After 3 hours waiting and getting a diagnostic at canadian tire, they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle. The second uhaul attendant hooked up my trailer and the lights worked fine. But as I was pulling away... there was a horrendous sound and it felt like I'd wrecked my vehicle. I stopped and discovered I had a second trailer attached to my trailer. In the process, all the wiring was ripped out of my trailer. There was another delay while I waited for the uhaul technician to rewire the trailer. This process put me 4 hours behind.

Kristy HClosed at three, had trouble getting thru to on the phone, finally did just as they were closing and got the info. Left everything in the drop box as instructed.
Warren JI called the u-haul number a month in advance and spoke to a representative. They assured met that a uhaul member would be able to secure my SUV to the trailer to tow behind the uhaul truck. I emphasized that I have never done it before so I need someone who knows how to secure it safely and they assured me that this is part of the process. They ended up arranging for me to pick up my trailer at a pool store where the young employee has never done it before, was never trained, nor does he have insurance to do it. This ended up delaying my move by 2 hours in the end. The staff at the pool store ended up calling the manager on a Saturday and I waited in the parking lot for him to come. The trailer that had been initially reserved for me to take had a ripped securement strap and the manager had to replace the entire strap for it to be safe.
Hannah MThe guy doing the booking was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the booking process. Equipment was in excellent condition and the experience was very good. Will definitely use this location/service again. And, will highly recommend them to anyone.
Randy DThe customer service and rate were excellent! The only issue was that there was no windshield wiper fluid in the truck. We didn't realise this until we were on the highway. This could have been dangerous if road conditions had been different.

Roman SWe had a severe problem during our moving since we had to keep all furniture in the truck for a night and UHAL did not let us book the truck for more than one night, even though we approached them very early. I hope you can find a solution for people like us who need a truck for more than a night during the end of August and at the beginning of September.
Mohammad AThe safety chain hooks were too small for my vehicle's yoke. The UHaul rep and myself had to spend some time to come up with a work around, where we managed to pass the chain through the yoke and back onto itself. The yoke on my Honda Pilot is not excessively thick, in fact a F-150 also there, appeared to have the same thickness. This cannot be a new problem, dealers should be informed of a solution.
