Latisha W.Part 1. ) I am reporting one of the most horrific instances of customer service I have encountered. My confirmation number was Reference number: 21071586. I was scheduled to pick up a truck at 9am Sat. the 31st of April. The address I was given was not shown correctly on google maps and placed me out in the country. I had a $1 000 move-in deposit fee that I was afraid I would lose if I didn't explain that I could not find a truck. I then called the national number as well as the local number given. The local number had no response, and the national number was up to 55 minutes without answer. I could not wait any longer so drove to the apartment I was moving to to explain I was still having trouble finding a truck. I then called again and after another 50 plus minute wait was told the u-haul facility was "one block from the stop sign". That was the EXACT direction I was given. I said "WHAT STOP SIGN?" and the national U-haul operator said that is all I have. I drove back through the area and found a stop sign, and looked around, and saw a few u-hauls. I then drove to that location and it was already 2 hours past pick up time, but I knew I could get there in time. I went to the store and there was a sign that said CLOSED. It was about 10:45 am and the sign said hours or operation was Monday thru Friday 9 to 5, and saturday 9 until 2. This place was closed over two hours early. I called the local number again and there was no answer. I was curious if I had just missed the number, so I looked all over the building and there was a single sign or number that said 52. I think this location should lose their dealer privileges as they had to know I was having trouble finding them as apparently the national u-haul had gotten in touch with them to say that they were one block from the stop sign, and there were NO IDENTIFyING numbers on the building. The fact that their sign clearly states they were open until one indicates that either they are extremely lazy, or just have no care for U-haul customers. Also, if you take a look at their google search location, you will see the woods that I was directed to when I tried to find them. If you put these words in Google, "southern supply nortonville ky u-haul" you will find a picture to the right that only shows woods. Anyway, They don't deserve to be U-haul representatives. Part 2) After discovering that the location was closed, I called back to the U Haul national number and after over an hour ( Have phone screenshots of all this if you need it) they said they would try to find another u-haul. I finally had to hang up, and fortunately one of my relatives was able to independently find a truck about 30 miles away. This was contract # 98834000. This was a much larger truck than I needed, but had to pay the additional charges. If I am not fully reimbursed for my charges I will never again use U-haul and will make sure everyone I ever come in contact with should never use U haul.
timothy T.Car trailer was hooked up by their employee as was the car secured to the trailer with the front wherl tie downs. While i was about to leave, a different emplyee ran out and said it looks like the “safety chains†for the car were not attached so we attached the front and rear “safety chains†and it was a good thing as by the time we got to the 1st fuel stop, which wasn't far as the truck had barely 1/4th tank of gas at delivery, the wheel tir down straps had already come entirely loose and they sid repeatedly throughout the trip. At least five times

Brent U.They were not very friendly. They didn't explain the process correctly. They only cared about the truck and not the customer. They also told me that the truck would checked on Friday or Saturday and it was not until Monday after I called them to alert them.
Nathanael H.Make sure truck is ready to drive for customer. The truck had ice and snow on the windshield and the heat didn't work, spent over 30 mins trying to get the windshield clear enough to drive, which cut into my renting time. Super not fair to have to spend the time I paid for not using the truck, but trying to get the truck ready to use. Trucks should be ready for customers to use so they can get the most of their rental time!
Calissa C.First time using uhaul. Had a good experience and customer service rep during pickup was friendly. Only thing that sucked was when I picked up, I didn't realize the uhaul I reserved was way too big. We were able to get me switched into something smaller which was great but I still had to pay the higher price for the ‘20 that I didn't go with. Might have been policy I missed and my fault but still a bummer I paid for more than what I used.

Matthew R.There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication in the location of my truck pickup: on the morning of pickup the U haul in Henderson Ky said I would probably need to pick up the truck in Evansville, IN, but after a couple of phone calls in route. I was told it was now in Madisonville, Ky. After pickup and clearly stating that the truck return was going to be in Plainfield, IN on Monday Aug 9th, Uhaul called me to find out why I did not return the truck on Sunday, Aug 8th!!! Finally, when I was done, I was contacted and told not to return the truck at a Uhaul in Plainfield only a mile away, but had to drive into downtown Indianapolis to return to another Uhaul where I was kept waiting too long! I am not happy with Uhaul!
