The storage unit is a joke, when I had my stuff in storage for a month and a 1/2 I went on January 22nd 2024, I open the storage unit door and to my dismay found that there had been rats ravishing all of my boxes my $1800 mattress was peed on and pooped on Even though I had it standing up at the back of the unit. the manager was very dismissive and said that it was my responsibility to have insurance on my things! However homeowners does not cover rat damage he has been very dismissive has not gotten back with me sissies on the cruise till March..The storage unit is not secure there is a 6 to 8 inch space at the top of the unit which allows the rats or whatever's in the units to run freely from unit to unit I would notRecommend this company I was very disappointed and I'm still waiting for my deposit back and an answer to what they're going to do about all the stuff that was destroyed in my unit I have had to replace many things including close decorations mattress it's despicable

JADE BWhen a business states its hours of operation, they should be open. I was there 10 minutes after opening and the door was locked. I waited for 15 minutes and then navigated the Uhaul app to drop off and scheduled it for 10:30 AM. I was there well past that time and no one was around. However within 5 minutes of me leaving I was hit with a surcharge from the drop off location. No explanation given, just a charge to my account. If they were in the area, they should have contacted me to let me know they were close by. I understand I may have been a couple of gallons short of a 1/2 tank and take responsibility for not getting an addtional fuel to cover it. But why not text me/call me to let me know. I dropped off the truck Saturday morning and did not receive an invoice until Monday morning. Not very professional. I also wanted to discuss the truck. The transmission was a bit tricky to deal with. Probably just an adjustment, but I wanted them to know about it before renting out again. Also the drivers side/outside mirrors do not stay in place, very frustrating to try and drive with a mirror that is not working. Merci.

Neil HThe actual pick up location (listed above) was fine, and the process was reasonably quick. But this was not the location of my reservation, which was the North Ave, Athens location. The North Ave location DID NOT have the equipment I reserved - I reserved a 5 x 9 ramp trailer with a motorcycle chock. I called UHaul at least three times in the weeks before my trip to stress that the motorcycle chock equipped trailer was essential, and was assured each time it would be available. Ultimately, the trailer I needed was located at the Winterville location (about 20 minutes away) and I got the trailer I needed there, and as mentioned that experience was fine. I think my complaint is more with UHaul than the individual locations. And this isn't the first time this has happened. It added a layer of stress to a moving process that was already stressful enough. UHaul needs to do a better job of ensuring the proper equipment is ready for pick up at the reservation location.
