Nothing to improve here. The manager had the truck I had reserved ready when I arrived and it was clean and operated flawlessly. Having used the online reservation tool made the pick up and drop off seamless and quick. Needed a bigger truck had to make 10 trips to storage with a little truck was not impressed at all cost me way more money that I don't have being on a pension plan .next time I'll go somewhere else. On top of that had to switch trucks 5 times valuable time lost.Roger N.

Trailer came with a four pin for lights. My truck has 7 pin. Was told to go to Canadian tire to by an adapter. Let me drive away with no running lights. Cost me $40 for the adapter. Not very happy.Craig B.
The gentleman at this location dealt with our issues of not having the 26 foot truck we requested very well. When the trailer lights did not work on the truck, he managed to get another truck within 15 minutes of discovering the problem. For a stressful move of a house with not having the proper size truck we requested from Uhaul, this gentleman had great costumer service.Phil W.

Van had dirt inside, but it didn't matter for my use. I think if I was moving house hold items, it may have been an issue. The person who signed me in, was very pleasant and helpful. However, the hours said open until 2:00. I rushed back to get the van returned before 2:00, but the office had closed early. Also, I had a $25 coupon to use, which I had entered at the time of on-line reservation. It did not show up at the time of check out and I had to pay the whole amount. I will sent a note to customer service with regrads to the payment.Janice M.

The first location I went to ( the place I origionally booked) was not set up for me to pick up the van. I had scheduled to pick it tp at 6:30 but then the place closed at 5 and was not set up for mobile pick up. So i had to call and get the location changed. An error in the booking process but me in a position that I was very uncomfortable with. It was dark by the time I had to pick up the can alone in a very dark parking lot.JAMIEELIZABETH M.

Parking is tight and limited at this location. Hard to park large vehicles. However, there is an overflow lot across the road, which I was able to use.Venkatraman S.

Your staff made a change to our reservation -this was to a location over 100km away, and there was only an attempt to inform us less than 24-hours before our move. We lost an additional $150 because we were 4-hours behind on our move, lost entry to our accommodation and had to spend an additional $170 on our hotel because we were late for check-in and lost a whole additional half-day because of this. We also lost money on gas. The staff would not accommodate our suggestions for allowing us to use a local vehicle instead of us having to drive 1,5-hours to a different city and 1,5-hours back. We also spent hours on hold with customer service trying to find a solution. The staff would not even assist my husband with hooking up the auto-transport when he asked. It was an absolute nightmare.Leah J.

Book 2 months in advance to the stouffville location. I had to pick up truck in Innisfil 71k away . Was give 100k to help but was not enough the drive was far to go to storage and then 230 k away with truck.Stephanie B.
The location was fine. Overall not happy with uhaul as I was suppose to pick up at a different location. I got a call the day before pick up saying they didn't have a truck for me â€¦ even though I booked almost 3 months prior. The closest truck was 115 KM away from my originally pick up spot. The manager Amanda was the least empathetic and least helpful person I've ever had to talk to with customer service of any business. Her solution of giving me a $150 credit for my $9000 truck rental is laughable, especially now having to drive an extra 345 km just to get the truck and get back home.Jon S.

I'm very unhappy. I was charged $188 for gas that I never put on. I only went maybe 10 km and I was charged for 188km ! They did nothing to rectify the situation besides saying it's out of my hands .Richard R.

My experience with the person at this pick up location was great. However, I will never be recommending U-haul to anyone in the future. I reserved a 26' truck online a month in advance to move my family 500 km to our new home. The day before I was scheduled to pick up the truck I was told that only 15' trucks were available. The person told me that when you make a reservation only "equipment" is guaranteed, not a specific size or type, that specific equipment is subject to availability. When I read this during my initial booking I took that to mean that I would have to drive to a location other than my preferred location to get the truck I had reserved not that I might not get a 26' truck at all. This policy is absolutely ridiculous! While I understand that trucks can break down and accidents can happen, how can it be that on the day of my reservation there were no 26' trucks within a 500 km radius of the GTA? How is it that U-haul cannot/will not guarantee the truck that you reserved?!?!?! You have to specify a drop of date and location when you get the truck. Shouldn't this mean that U-haul knows where their trucks are? Why give the option to book a specific truck at all then? In theory you could "reserve" a 26' truck and then get a pick up truck. How is a pick up truck the same as a 26' truck?!?!?!?! In my case, I managed to get a 15' truck which I guess I was lucky to even get. It completely messed up my move. I was planning on moving everything in one day, during one trip with one truck. I had to ask friends and family to drop everything and bring their pick up trucks/trailers to help make my move possible. Even then it wasn't enough, I had to make another trip 500 km each way to get the rest of our stuff. That is completely insane and unacceptable! Moving is a stressful and difficult thing to do especially when moving 500 km away. People need to and do plan things well in advance as I thought I had but at the last minute U-haul pulled this ridiculous policy out and I would have been left stranded had it not been for friends and family. Just despicable....... I'm sure it's all in the name of profit and since U-haul is really the only game in town they can get away with it. No wonder there are so many poor reviews of U-haul online and looking back on them I should have realized that U-haul was a poor choice. I will certainly not be using U-haul in the future and every chance I get, I will be telling everyone that will listen how terrible U-haul is. U-haul, you should be ashamed of yourself.... If a reservation is truly only for "equipment" and not a specific truck size you should remove that as an option while reserving. I assume that you don't because then people wouldn't book with you. Gambling on truck availability is not something that most people would want to do. Similarly, to the truck experience I had reserved 120 moving blankets for my move. The person on the main U-haul line assured me that the pick up location would have 120 blankets. Unsurprisingly, upon arrival, only 24 were available. The person at the pick up location said that they've never had 120 blankets available..... I was able to make 24 work but again, why allow someone to book something that isn't available and then expect them to accept it. What would happen if you booked a certain size of storage room? Would you arrive with all your stuff and be told there was only a closet to put your stuff in? Or worse yet, what if you have booked moving help expecting 4 strong adults to help you move and instead you get 4 feeble 12 year olds?!?!?! Again, U-haul you are just the worst. You make promises; sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. You don't have to worry about when they don't because you're really the only option and you know people have no other choice. Or you wait to tell people that you're not able to fulfill their "reservation" until it's too late for them to make other arrangements. I have a few more choice words for you U-haul but will refrain as this is a public review. Instead I will say: U-haul, give your head a shake and think about if this is how you would like to be treated while moving your family. I think that clearly, the answer is a resounding NO!Jared J.

Very friendly service both booking over the phone and at pick up and drop off. They were very accommodating when I had to extend the time on the cargo van for extra days. Truck was filthy inside. Previous user had spilt coffee in the cup holders and the floor. There was trash inside the cad, which also suggested this vehicle was not sanitized prior to my use.JASON B.
The van key was not in the lockbox. The instructions were not accurate. I found a lock on the back truck and the combination didn't even work. Took 30 minutes to unlock to find the truck keys in the bay. Biggest hassle I've ever dealt with, not happy about this rental at alleric L.

The agent gave me a pick up and return location 48 kilometres away from my place in another city and told me it's only 15 minutes but took me 45 mintues . So I wasted 96 kilometers and 90 minutes not mentioning the extra gas I paid . Very disappointed GHOLAMH S.
