Can't really think of anything. The gentleman that helped us was extremely professional and friendly.
MICHAEL BUHaul (the company not the 3rd party location) did not have the blankets I reserved. If someone reserves blankets you should have them at the location, no excuses.
Daniel PLocation was convenient and staff is very friendly. My major disappointment was the online return. I didn't have an U-Haul app so returning process was confusing and difficult to use. First it cannot detect my location and nowhere to manually enter it in. Secondly I cannot find any option of upload my picture of proof, hence I was charged extra. Now I'm disputing the extra surprise fees and hopefully i can get them refunded. This was my first time renting U-Haul truck and frankly it will be the last time. I will not recommend to any of my friends. In addition, there was a half-drank bottled water left in the truck when we picked it up.
Yun WThe only issue was that there was a Styrofoam cup with spilled smoothie all over the bottom of the back door and bumper, didn't know till I opened it when I got to my location. I'm guessing the last customer who rented the cargo van did that because they also lied about how much gas they left. So nothing against the location and the gentleman who assisted me was very nice and efficient.
Genevieve KI did the online check in, but felt like that didn't add much to my actual check in process. The system was also down and was down the day before/on the fritz...so he had a hard time helping me and when I returned the vehicle it still wasn't resolved so I had to go online and do my check in. I think the vehicles should be very specific on how much gas is in it and how much is needed to be added back...I went over how much was in there and then went over my mileage so I lost money. I know it's probably set up that way, but it's not a great business practice. It was great to have a next day option and be so close to where I lived.
jamie tI tried to use the U-Haul app to return my rental van. The app constantly reset every time I tried to take a picture of the dashboard and then it finally crashef in a loop of trying to find location. This continued today when I opened the app. I had to call the rental location and have them do the return. I do not trust this app for future use.
Deborah TIt needed windshield washer fluid, but otherwise it was fine. Ballinger Heated Storage staff person was personable, professional, and helpful. We would rent again from him.

Matthew AMy experience had nothing to do with the excellent service Marshall provided at Ballinger Heated Storage. My disgusting experience is with U Haul. The $19,95 sign on the side of the truck is deceptive. It doesn't bother to tell the customer about the $.69 per mile charge. It is much cheaper to rent the same product at Home Depot or Lowes.
Jim SThe rental charge for a van is supposedly $19.95. Once you tack on insurance and mileage (10 miles), plus tax, all of a sudden the total is $42.90. Doesn't seem like it should be advertised as $19,95 to rent. The truck was the only thing we rented and it certainly wasn't clean. I was told that "it is moving van clean". I went home and swept the back out before I put my stuff in it.

The van I rented was clean, ran and drove beautifully, and the check out and check in process were a breeze. I would definitely recommend the Ballinger Heated Storage location above all others in the area! Thanks Marshall, for a fantastic experience. When I need another rental, or if I need a storage space, I will definitely look you up first.
Damon SWhen I arrived at Ballanger Heated Storage, the office was closed unlike my expectation. In usual, it is open, yet it is closed Sundays as of 26th of November. U-haul didn't know about the fact that Ballanger Heated Storage office does not open Sundays these days. I wasted about 30 minutes to figure out to check in mobile. The first customer service was not friendly. She only said use U-haul mobile app, even though I asked for her help to do mobile check-in. Again, I called U-haul customer service and I asked for another help to do mobile check-in. The second customer service was patient and helpful. The cargo van's cargo area had dents and broken wood protection which can hurt users. The wooden chips were sharp enough to hurt people. Please keep the cargo area clean and fixed for renters.

Randle II rented a dolly along with the truck. When I arrived to the location I was informed that u-Haul does not provide them with dolly's and that the truck I rented did not have one already in it. I was told I would need to go to a different location to get the dolly I rented. I ended up taking it off of my order because I didn't have time to drive to another location to get a dolly and had to borrow one from a friend. Very frustrating and would not have been able to complete my move if I didn't get lucky with my friend having one.

Liberty SI was redirected to this site further from my house. I had to do most of the "paperwork" myself, uploading pictures, etc. I did everything and you get paid
Ed WThis company is a total nightmare. Just had my 3rd worst experience with U-Haul. I'll never use it again or recommend it to anyone.
ANDRIA KThe dash prompts stated it was in need of an oil change and the another dash prompts was that the right rear door ajar which it was because I checked it each time I was loading or unloading. At least this location, Ballinger Self-storage provided assistance where needed; whereas, your location at 165th & Aurora cheated me on my bill and I will not go back there again, especially, with the cocky, young punk of a manager who's working there!

tim rThe truck was dangerous to drive. The play in the steering wheel was awful. The transmission seemed off. Not an expert on cars, but had to keep shifting into 3rd as it seemed drive was not working. I'm sure you're aware. There's no way you couldn't be.

Christopher HThe equipment that I ordered was not provided to the site by U-haul. When I arrived at the site, I could not obtain the key code from my online U-haul account to pick up my key to the truck. This delayed the start of my move, as my movers had to arrive later than planned.

Jeff HThe person manning the desk was not pleasant. She seemed very inconvenienced that I was there to pick up the truck. The vehicle had some issues with its transmission (it wasn't shifting well internally- it was an automatic and I shifted to D to drive. It would rev very high during low speeds and then clunk once it got to whatever speed/gear it wanted. )

Gregory LDisgusting and old van truck, no back up camera, no power locks or widows, floor got hot due to engine. The door had to be slammed shut, awful ride noise and smell. Honestly, it comes out to the same price as Home Depot box truck rentals and those are 2020+ model trucks with smooth rides and technology so go there. Saving grace from 1 star is the staff at this external location are very helpful and friendly.
Edwin AThe mobile checkin process wasn't working. I could do up to the taking the photo of the mileage and then it stopped. Thankfully it was during office hours so the kind lady at the desk was able to check me in. You need to work on the website and mobile check in/out process
Kerry TTruck was badly out of alignment and the passengernsiee mirror would not hold in place, making it very unsafe to drive. Road side service had to come fix the mirror. Truck was dirty. We had to blow it out before we could load furniture

Michael GFast, friendly service. Mobile check-in and unattended key drop off are pluses. However, where to park the vehicle when returning could be marked better. Difficult to park in such a small parking lot.

Chris BThe automated checkout process on the app was very confusing and I had to finally go inside to finish checking in, and the guy there was having a hard time, as well. Maybe simplify that some for everyone?
Chris MGot charged an additional $16,5 for fuel that was returned at a higher level than the level I received it at. I have pictures of them both. You don't have the option to do anything with the truck before signing the contract. Didn't get the keys to check that. In the 31 miles I drove and putting 4 gallons in apparently they needed an additional 3 gallons of fuel in a 31 mile trip. 7 gallons for 31 miles is excessively insane. Already spending over $100 and the additional $16,5 is not right
JORDAN PExterior of the van was dirty - interior was somewhat dusty. Worked fine mechanically.
STEVEN WI tried using the contactless online method of pickup but the website was unresponsive and wouldn't complete the process. I tried calling the support number provided and it said I would have a 55 minute wait time. If it wasn't for the staff onsite it would've been a nightmare to complete my pick up. You really need to fix the online experience to be more lenient for slower connections.
Mycah MI estimated the mileage I would use but used significantly less. I entered the actual mileage used but will still charged for the total of the estimate.....not sure why

KIM MTruck was clean but not good in driving. Also, gas tank was not fully filled. I had to pay extra to fill up the tank. I complained but nothing happened.
PARTHA SYour after-hours dropoff instructions were confusing and the app didn't work. It kept asking me to take the photo again and wouldn't let me continue. I had to give up.

MORGAN TNo improvement necessary!!! Ballinger Heated Storage met us step for step with every mishap we had during our 2 day move. They passed on important messages and reached out when we were not showing up as planned and helped problem solve so we got a wacky move accomplished. I cannot recommend this company more. The vehicle was clean and new. Excellent service!

MALLA RKeep your inventory on your website updated. I ordered packing blankets and you were out, which honestly is fine, but I still got charged for them so it was kind of a hassle to get them removed from my invoice.
