The truck I rented was dirty when I received it and I was charged for a utility dolly which I did not rent. The staff was also inattentive and un-helpful. My truck was not loaded with the appropriate items that I did rent and was dirty. This is separate from a claim I have also filed against U-Haul given that your bug-infested moving blankets contaminated my furniture such that it is unusable. I will never use U-Haul again after this miserable experience.

This location went out of their way to be helpful. They don't normally take tow dollys but they took ours. They happily helped us get the car off the dolly. Polar opposite of the Columbia location.

The location was fine. Your online system on the other hand, is horrendous and predatory. I filled out my reservation for pickup at 2240 Irving Blvd, and drop off at 1350 E Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX 75081. Your system allowed me to do this, and indicated it was fine. Then, when I finalized the reservation and paid, your system switched my drop off to 2240 Irving Blvd without my consent or knowledge. When I tried to call and change it, I was informed it could not be changed, and that the bait and switch was in fact intentional. I was also told if I dropped off at my originally selected location, I would be charged a $300 fine. On my $80 reservation. What a complete scam.

I rent trucks from Uhaul ALL THE TIME but never have this problem. I recently ordered from a neighborhood dealer and was charged (2) fuel charges fees but I returned the truck back with the normal fuel. I'm disputing the $30 and the $30,48 charges. I've had this problem with this particular Uhaul dealer before and it's really disgusting how they try to scam money out of the customer. Please refund me for those fuel costs of $60,48 as it's not a legitimate charge. Plus, the truck wasvery unclean when I first received it.

The equipment was not clean, the car tow had broken straps, truck had several areas of damage. Nothing I did or was accused of doing, however it was still ugly to drive. The team that I worked with over charged my credit card for charges that had nothing to do with me. The worst customer service ever. I will never use Uhaul again.

The man behind the counter was great. I did not catch his name. But he was quick and he made it extremely easy. I will use this location over and over again, as my company has to rent trucks to move expensive tile panels.

I would not recommend using the mobile pick up/drop off. I received a response over and over to turn location on on my phone which I keep on and was on when I verified it. Others who did not use mobile pick up/drop off got in and out at this location much faster than I. 4 customers left with their trucks before I did and some of them arrived at the location after me. The sale rep at the store was kind enough to help me drop off and print me a receipt on the return because I would have had to pay a $50 late fee if unable to return on time even though I was there and trying to use the mobile return!

You all should figure away out to extend rentals for customers, without the extra large amount paying out , $75 bucks come on. But shit happens, and we as customers need to rent the u-haul trucks.

Uhaul truck was not clean in the back. Not cleanly swept out. The truck overheated on the trip. Turns out the hose was faulty and losing coolant. Was clearly a preexisting problem prior to rental. We had to buy coolant and a hose repair kit to make the trip. We returned the truck in clean swept condition assuming Uhaul would not want it back in the same condition they gave it to us. We also updated the associate regarding the coolant problem. Not sure if it was addressed or not. But that truck will def not make it back to Texas in that condition on the next one way if it's rented for that.

While not a traditional location the advantage was a competent, efficient, and hard working associate handling a small business that knows how to overrate. Hands down, he should teach and train all traditional UHaul locations to get it together!!

This has nothing to do with the location, but I'm curious why UHaul had to call another number before they would approve me to rent the truck. I have rented trucks from Uhaul at least 3-4 times in the last year and have never had to do this. It was a little insulting.

The truck was a huge safety hazard but was the only one available at the location. The side mirror on the drivers side just spins completely around so in order to see on the drivers side of the truck, the driver has to roll down the window and hold the mirrror in place to be able to see that the lane is clear to change lanes. In addition, the check engine light was on the entire rental. I was given a gas credit because the tank was completely empty so at least that part was handled right.

While it was close and convenient. The truck (equipment) had no heater. And bay was left open so it was completely iced over (02/23/22). While the objective was completed. Those negatives were big given the outside time and situation.

I think the one thing that would improve the next customer's experience would be to renovate the exterior of the building or parking lot at some point. It looks a bit underserved. No additional comments. I was very pleased with the service. The employees were respectful and made the process a breeze. Also, the vehicle was very clean and up-to-date. I'll recommend to my friends!

I made a reservation and got a confirmation that I submitted payment and paperwork ahead of time to pickup with app on 24/7 option but I was not able to pick up at my reserved time and had to wait for the location to open to rent truck in person. An hour after my reserved time.

First, the location itself is also a small market. The guy at the counter was very short in his interactions while I was trying to ask him the process to get my truck. The verification was overwhelming, I had to provide, I'd, passport and lease agreement, seems extreme. The store is very cluttered and hard to maneuver. My truck wouldn't allow me to turn the key easily, I had to jiggle it a few times before it would it start. Also the knob for the window was missing which made it hard for me use the window and it was hot. Also while I was sitting in the truck I heard someone open the back and start taking my moving supplies out, I hop out and there's a guy pulling my stuff out of the truck(my stuff, not supplies rented by uhaul) and I ask what he's doing and said oh I thought someone just left the stuff, but I just rented the truck. Not not a great a experience

The clerk would not give me a receipt when I returned the vehicle. He told me to leave the keys and wait for an email. I was charged an additional $56 for extra mileage and late turn in I'm assuming. I picked up at 8:30 am on a Friday and turned in at 4:50 pm on a Sunday. I'm very disappointed.

It had nothing to do with Uhaul and everything to do with the people at the location. The truck and equipment were perfect, however the location was very unprofessional. When i first greeted the cashier, he said “wait til I'm done eating”. After waiting 5-10 minutes for the man to eat, he told me to call Uhaul and ask Uhaul to dispatch the truck for me even though he asked me to wait for him to get done eating. The man was rude and short the entire exchange. Then when I returned the equipment, I was overcharged for fuel, and was charged for not returning the dolly when I did in fact return the dolly. I called them several times to figure out why I was charged for the dolly and the man said it sounded like a miscommunication on their end and that he would let me me know tomorrow if I was getting a refund. The location seemed shady for start to finish and if the refund isn't issued tomorrow then I will be disputing the charge with me bank.

Will not answer phone as store regarding UHaul services Will not ensure all equipment is available prior to exit . I was overcharged because although I requested someone to check, the cashier never came out to confirm and insisted that the truck was not returned with proper amount of gas. Poor customer service

I will be calling customer service in a few days once I have some time but I scheduled my pickup at 1616 Greenville in Dallas and got punted over to this awful location Big C Food Market. The bar must be low if these guys have a UHaul contract. The guy working gave me a truck with a check engine light on it and told me that it was ok bc it was just needing an oil change. This was after he told me the truck I was originally going to get had a key broken off in the ignition and that he was going to give me a 2nd key to open and close the door. It was unbelievable the conversation we had and the complete absence of care. I mentioned how oil changes are (a) necessary and (b) will help with gas mileage but this guy just shrugged his shoulders and didn't care. There can also be several reasons a check engine light comes on. I decided to take it to 1616 Greenville to get the diagnostic check (I also had called roadside assistance and they told me it would “probably” be ok to drive - keep in mind I'm going 1100 miles through a lot of unpopulated areas). Luckily Wade was the only employee there that cared and helped me find another truck at 9929 Harry Hines. I went and swapped trucks and finally was able to start packing the truck 4 hours later - even though I had to do it myself because I had hired somebody to help but they had to be at work at 430 pm so they were no longer available. It delayed my trip by a day because of all the time wasted trying to find a truck that probably wouldn't break down along the way.

Low level customer service. Van showed full on fuel when I rented but I put 5 gallons in to refill it â€" for 16 miles. Pretty sure these cargo vans don't get THREE miles per gallon. Tacky. Hope corporate notices this review and takes note.
