I reserved a truck for 8:30am and when I attempted to start the pickup process through the app, I was notified that a truck had not been assigned to me. After calling U-Haul customer support, I was told I needed to wait for the store to open at 9am so I luckily didn't have to wait too long, but U-Haul should have prevented me from choosing the contactless mobile option and reserving prior to the store opening on their site/app, especially since it doesn't seem like this pick up location has a self service system. No issues with the location. Helpful workers and efficient pick up process once I was helped. The truck was in a decent condition overall, just some trash in the main cabin.

Stuff was very friendly, but truck was in non driving condition. Problem with brakes and stirring wheel every time looks at left side but drive straight. Was little bit uncomfortable and scary.

When booking my reservation I selected the contactless mobile option. When arriving on site the app checked me in prior to be finding the vehicle and I was unable to see any of the check in information. The key was not in the vehicle and when I called customer service they had me walk around to find the lock box. When I went inside the store I waited a while for someone to help me. The vehicle main cabin was dirty and had trash from the last person in it.

Best experience I have had yet with renting of a moving truck! The price was very fair and when I returned the truck early I was given a credit for unused time... never had that happen before. The folks at Big Tool Box were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely use them again for a truck rental.

My reservation was changed to this location the day before my trip started. This location was NOT open at the time of my pick up and the truck was not ready (truck had no lockbox, no key access). I had to creep around the building and find an employee (VERY NICE GUY, THANK YOU!!) who was there before they opened, to help me. There was no lockbox on the truck which makes a self-pickup impossible. I was lucky enough to find someone to help me but it was completely random. I called to make a formal complaint and they told me I had to complete the trip before I could officially complain... The system of switching customers up only hours before reservations begin, and potentially to locations that don't offer what you have rented is horrible business. I will do everything I can to avoid U-Haul moving forward. They have done nothing to make this right, not even an apology. I only ended up being about an hour late, but it was completely U-Haul's fault and me finding an employee was just good luck. Also, they didn't have the dolly I reserved and gave me an appliance dolly instead which was clunky and not helpful for my needs. I would recommend this location to a friend, but beware they could switch you to where ever they want the day before!

The location was fine. The problem is U-Haul overall. The day before pick-up they changed our pick-up location and time. Moving the pick-up to 15 miles from our destination in Denver traffic. Also moved the pick-up time back 2 hours and 15 minutes. Both of these were extremely inconvenient and caused 2 of helpers to have to drop out. In addition, we reserved an appliance cart and 2 furniture dollies; neither was available at pick-up. We were able to get an appliance dolly as we were leaving someone was returning theirs. No one at U-Haul (800 number) was at all helpful or empathetic at all. I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone. Sad...used to be a good company.

I did not book this location. I booked a location closer to my house. This location was decided by U-Haul after I made the reservation. The location change took time out of our day and the added miles took money from our pockets. I showed up to the location I reserved only to realize U-Haul modified the reservation. Lastly, this location had a late drop-off fee that would not have been applicable at my first location; which had mobile check-in and drop-off. I rushed to drop off the vehicle before 7pm. I arrived as they were closing and once inside, they informed me to put my key in the drop off box outside. In other words, I arrived before 7pm, walked inside the store, and was told to leave. I haven't checked if they charged a late drop off fee, but if they did, that is theft. I will consider my options more thoroughly before ever thinking of U-Haul again.

I was charged three separate times. There was not a dolly which I requested when I booked. The truck was not well taken care of it was hard to drive because the steering wheel was sideways. I did eventually get a refund back but I had to work hard to do so. Honestly, this was my worst experience with renting a Uhaul.

Fix the U Haul online process. I had to submit proof of identity but it would not let me upload any pictures and the representative was of no help. It delayed our process by over 2 hours, and the only saving grace was the manager who was there early and was gracious enough to help us. We were so disappointed by U-HAUL and we completely blame them for all of the issues we faced that morning. I don't think we will use it again in the future until U-HAUL puts more money into the company itself and make the app work.

Your computer system is apparently very outdated and hard to use. I have a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck and your program was clueless about my vehicle even though they have been making them since last November. The clerk had to enter my information over half a dozen times, and I think he put in I was driving a FordSuperduty, so that your outdated system would accept my reservation. The Tesla Cybertruck can tow 11 000 pounds and is an excellent tow vehicle. You will be getting more and more customers who drive Cybertrucks as they get the electrical equivalent of about 90 mpg, whereas the Superduty only gets about 13. I rented a auto transport trailer and was not told that the trailer fenders folded down, which would have made getting in and out of the towed vehicle a whole lot easier.

The whole van smelled like a mixture of some kind of drugs and a bad smelling air freshener. It seems like the air freshener was trying to cover up the smell, but it only was making it worse. Overall it was "clean" but the smell was very unpleasant.

The truck keys was wrong, miles in my contract don't match with my truck, and than get to much troubles for drop of the vehicle on the night bcz of this things. I need get some discount or diez this problem we always go and get trucks for move with the same company but this time was deception and unacceptable from them.

Make sure that the gas gauge is actually checked thoroughly. I drove 48 miles and had to put well over 8 gallons of gas in there which tells me that there were several gallons missing previously.

The truck was clean but sounded pretty bad - like an evening with cicadas as it got above 25 MPH. Lots of metallic rattling from the undercarriage, too. Great location and staff at The Big Tool Box Rental Center.

I had a mostly positive experience. A taillight was out on the trailer I was initially assigned, so they gave me another trailer instead. However, I wasn't sent any pictures or condition confirmation for that replacement trailer so it made the after hours check in process take a bit longer. Also, the replacement trailer had a nail in one of the tires that we didn't notice at time of inspection, and that I did only after I got home and fully loaded the trailer. U-Haul's roadside assistance was extremely prompt and had a technician replace the tire free of charge. But it did end creating a 2-hour delay to the start of my move. Overall, a very good experience, but I just wish either trailer had been in 100 % working condition when I first rented them.

I had originally booked the pick up at a different location but when I went to pick up, the place was closed. I had to drive further out to pick up the truck at this new location. I have been charged extra mileage but this was because of the original shop closer to me being closed even though I had made my reservation in advance. I would like a refund of mileage please.

My initial reservation was at a location that was terrible. I showed up and no one was there. After 15 minutes of waiting a guy drove up and parked. I had to knock on the window of his car for help. He got out and said he was not the owner but that he could probably help me out. I went into a very dirty office. He then left and walked 3 blocks away to come back and tell me someone had stolen the trailer. I then had to call you customer service to see if there was another trailer I could get on July 26. They routed me to the Big Tool Box and they were organized and friendly.
