We reserved 3 box trucks, 2 26' and 2 20'. We have done so for several weekends since the beginning of September. We use them to haul instruments, uniforms and props for a high school marching band traveling to a competition. Every single time there has been sone type if screw up where we were scrambling to find trucks because despite the reservations there was only one or none available where they were supposed to be. HOW DO YOU GIVE SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPECT TO KEEP BUSINESS. Unfortunately for us you are who we have to use. If not there is no way we would ever be back. Every time we are told the trucks were not returned from the previous day. If you as a company are going to take reservations but make it advantageous for someone to decide last minute they are not going to return a truck, DON'T TAKE THE RESERVATIONS!!!!!!! Once we are done with this season there is no way I will EVER use you again. For the location, whoever the older gentleman that is there when we try to get the trucks has no concept if customer service. The first time we came to this location, we had reserved the 3 trucks. When we showed up at the time for rental the trucks were not there. He abruptly and with out a care stated the were no trucks. That's it! No explanation until we began asking why. He literally said they were not there and walked away. We have been back several times and his customer service has remained the same, totally disinterested. This past weekend, there was a computer problem and he was clueless on what to do. Luckily there was another person there and he figured out how to get on another computer for the 5 or so customers that were there. We will gave to use you this coming Saturday and possibly next weekend also, but I am not confident in your company's ability to provide the service.john H.

Sales person added smart move to my bill thinking that it would cover the trailer but it only covers the contents of the vehicle. I had requested initially no insurance but kept it on there thinking that it would cover the trailer and that I was just mistaken but after I researched it I realized that smart move only covers the contents.Johnathan T.
I've rented from Uhaul several times, so this wasn't my first rodeo, but this has definitely been my best experience. Typically I receive a message the day before my pickup saying I have to go somewhere other than my preferred location, which is always a hassle - especially if the truck and trailer are at different places. But I'm cool - I know the clerk at the local office can't control these things. For this rental, I was in this office 3 days in a row, first for boxes, etc. then later for the rental pickup. Brian was on duty each time, and he was the most helpful and energetic guy I've ever worked with at Uhaul. Although this is my preferred location, this is the first time the equipment was actually at my preferred location. The day before Brian was able to verify the equipment would be ready for me. He was the only one on duty, so he was running his a** off making sure myself and everyone else was taken care of. Made sure my car was loaded on the trailer well, and we made the 7-hour journey with no problems. Even though we drove through rain, the inside of the truck stayed dry, which is unusual. If there was one thing I'd recommend to do better, it's making sure the trucks are sealed better. This one was good, but I've had a lot of stuff damaged in the past from water getting in.Vern N.

Truck was on empty, cable on door assist was broke on rear, and steering has so much play in it that it was almost impossible to keep in the lane and truck was dirty, etc.PAUL C.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. I was in and out quickly. Bryan had a great sense of humor. I signed for the trailer with my own pen. He took the paper and tried to take my pen. I said, that's MY pen. We both laughed. The pre-rental sign-in forms were just too long and there were too many questions. I mean, how many know the maximum torque rating on the hitch ball? I reserved a pickup truck to drive 375 miles round trip. I showed up and the place told me â€œthe pickup truck was stolenâ€. Obviously no one stole the pickup truck but instead was giving to someone else that day that probably offered them more money. I am upset about this and want to know what you will do as a company to make it right.JOHN W.
I reserved this online for pick up at 12pm. I arrived at 11:55am and was not able to leave until 12:45 with the trailer I reserved. I had allotted 30 minutes in my schedule to sign/hookup and felt that was pretty easy to accomplish having rented trailers from uhaul before.Brian B.

The only thing they had going for them was the clean truck. They didn't provide me with the dollies that I reserved and paid for. The people were rude each time I encountered them and when I disputed the charges it took over a week for them to STILL charge me the equipment I didn't get.Shawntionna K.

Worst uhaul experience I've had. Employees shouldn't not be taking personal calls while with customers. Everything was extremely unorganized to the point my AT was rented to two ppl causing my contract to change price but was never told about the change. The owner doesn't understand how to do everything on the computer or the capabilities of technology in 2021. I will not be using uhaul again after this experience.ROBERT Y.

The person checking the equipment out spoke too fast and tried to do too many things at the same time. He made many mistakes and was rude when his rate was 500 more than the website quoted. He in fact had me take an auto transport that I reserved but didn't actually even check it out to me. I will not use this location again.REED P.

The guy running the location is a weirdo. Acted manic/tweaking on drugs. Kept bugging my ride to pick up the truck about her car. Kept wanting to hold her up and chat about her Camry and how he liked it, and kept invading her personal space. There were no appliance dollies available despite the fact I required and ordered one ahead of time. Guy had a 'sorry, not my problem' attitude when I mentioned I needed a dolly. I reserved my cargo trailer online and knew I would be pressed for time so I tried to accomplish as much ahead of time as I could. I approached the location and had to wait on the main road just to get into the place because the limited parking and space had traffic backed up. I finally decided to park on the grass as I was holding up main road traffic. Once I entered into the building I was greeted rather rudely by a lady who seemed bothered by the fact that I did pre-work online. Eventually the contract was completed and we went to hook up the trailer. The person who helped with the trailer hook up failed to fasten down the tongue. Fortunately, I was only going next door. When I realized it was fully hooked up I struggled to tighten down the tongue on my ball because the threads were so corroded. It took me 20 minutes and lots of fiddling to get it to tighten down because I had no tools on me. Once I got it home I sprayed lubricant on it and it worked great. These units should be maintained by Uhaul and not require the customers to have to lubricate. This is the 2nd trailer I have picked up in 30 days that needed lubrication.Darrell P.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a rental company, but possibly overall in my life. I first show up and no-one know what is going on. The older gentleman at the counter had no idea what he was doing. He eventually just got upset and quit on the spot. Then, the only other guy running the place was insane. Everyone had questions but he said he didn't have time to even help us with our bill, truck, hooking up, where to find the truck, nothing. At one point, he had me hop on his golf cart with another customer, and he proceeded to drive us through the complex to the back where my truck was located. The lady almost fell off he was going so fast. It was awful and an out-of-body experience. I had to call another Uhaul location to get my questions answered (the wait time on the main site was over an hour). I will never rent from Uhaul again.CHARLES J.

I had to go to this location to exchange the trailer I rented at another location, because I needed a larger trailer than I originally ordered. I have no complaints about the experience. The staff was very helpful and quick about making the exchange in spite of troubles with the computer order entry system. Merci!John K.
Took 30 minutes to get uhaul with one person in front of me. Put CC information in online but still needed all information at facility saying online information didn't work which felt sketchy at best. Also needed random information that has no applicability to renting uhaul. I have one one phone number but they require 2 before giving out rental. Wanted a random friend or family member which is extremely unprofessionalWill K.
The man working at this location was awful. He didn't seem okay. He would talk to himself and respond to himself. He was rather rude and would just start talking to other people after he had just started to help someone. He didn't even go over anything with the truck with me. He left set up to a man who didn't even work there. I will never recommend that location. He didn't even explain how the insurance options worked properly. My booking was 2:30 pm but i got out there 3:15 because they made new order instead of one in already. They don't ask if you want insurance like the actual U-Haul dealership's, they just tack it on. You also don't get a price on the rental till later in the day. U-Haul dealership's give you the price while you're there. I'm waiting on someone from the U-Haul office to call me so we can discuss the hidden fees that I occurred on my last rental. Overall this place needs to do a better job of communicating with their clients, so this doesn't happen to anyone else.Jerry S.

This was the worst location i have ever been to. Some of the employees had the smell of beer on there breath and very unprofessional when speaking with a customer. Plus i returned the rented truck in the correct allowed time but the truck was mot checked in until over 3 hours later which charged an additional day and when attempting to get a refund for the additional day it was such a hassle. I will not return to this location in the future. This was the worst experience i have ever had with uhaul.Asahel D.

I placed a reservation last week for a 10 foot truck for pick up at 9am one-eat from Louisville to Lexington. Online system said it was available. Yesterday I got a call that said only a 26 foot was available. This was too large for the space we would need it. Gentleman on the phone said well we have a 10 foot here now so it shouldnt be a problem. When we arrived at 9 this morning (with movers on the way) the man working said he couldn't find our reservation and refused to look any further. Said we had to call the main uhaul number. Finally another worker, Val, found the reservation and a truck. This truck is apparently only an in town truck. We had to take the truck 1 hour back to Louisville. They even had the audacity to change our reservation so that it looked like we wanted to return it to Louisville. In addition, the first man was extremely rude when I went to leave my car. Instead of asking me to move it to a different parking spot (of which none were marked) he immediately told me that he would tow my car if I left it there. When we called to deal with this issue they transferred me 4 times and gave me supervisor for this office, Tony's number. Which he never answered. We refuse to be charged for the additional mileage and gas. This was not our mistake.Brandon P.

Made reservation for 5:30 because the website says they are open until 6. Pre-check-in online at 4. Due to heavy rain, I didn't arrive at 10000 Bluegrass until 5:38. There was an employee on the lot moving equipment who told me they were closed. Told him I already checked in online and paid. Told him the website says open till 6:00. I am still trying to obtain feedback two weeks after receiving a bill that is in error in order to resolve the issue. I have contacted U-Haul at least four different ways and not received any response. Now on 8-23-21 I just received an additional incorrect charge applied to my credit card.
