A hassle to go from truck to garage for key. Then to return key. Place is a dump

The location that I picked up from "Bob's Service Center" was permanently closed. When I called to confirm no one informed me of this. When I called the number for the location it just rang and rang. There were two uhaul vehicles parked out front of what appeared to be a vehicle graveyard. Looked like no one had been there in 30 years off of a random road, Route 23 in upstate NY. The service agent I spoke with was very patient. But it was also in a area where there was terrible service. It was a very inconsistent experience from previous rentals I have had.

Gave them notice of the bad reception area, also gave them more details of the keys slot drop box is and they should be fine.

The attendant was unable to provide the 26-ft truck that I thought I had secured through the web ordering process. He had to go out of way ( 1 hour round trip) to bring a 20-ft truck to the location in time to meet my schedule. The attendand was very kind and helpful and he privided a very clean truck. U-Haul provided no consideration for the inconvenience. Now we have to rent one more truck.

Pretty big hole in the driveway. First time driving a truck and that was not pleasant to go through. Also no parking for the person bringing you to your truck. Bob was great though.

The drop off location is great as far as location but the lot looks like a graveyard for old cars. No real markings as to where to park the UHaul to return it.

Everything was perfect. So convenient. Great location. I don't have to drive 20-30 miles just to get to my move. Very Happy. Using them again next week.

The ONLY reason I give this location any good reviews is because of location. It is a MESS! No one is there to help at drop off.

The drop off location was down right scary! It looks like a junk yard. No one was there and when I called the number you gave me it was incorrect as was the actual address. The correct address is 901 Rt 23, Craryville, NY. Please get the right number for future customers. When I looked on line and found the correct number I got an answering machine that gave no hours of operation. It just asked for the customer to leave a message. It turns out that Bob's Service center opens at 6:30 pm. After an exhausting day of driving and moving I had to hire two men to unhook the trailer and leave it on the side of a busy road with no one around. This was very uncomfortable for me. I am a 52 year old widow with 2 girls. Safety and convenience is my number 1 concern. I didn't get either one on the drop off. So not only did I have to pay for the trailer but I had to pay two men I didn't know to help me. Disappointing to say the least.

The location is not open until 6:30 at night. There should be some online video available to show you how to check in remotely. My cell phone was not able to open the website, but fortunately my sisters was able to.

Although a great rental, there is a major problem. U-Haul put an authorization hold on my card that lasted over 30 days! Still fighting with them to have released. Filled out the form, called 2 reps and the reps both agree that this hold should have been released in 3 days, but didn't know why! So now I wait. Called bank, called U-haul, no one is doing anything about this, so I will be forced to look into legal actions soon!

Great service, very clean truck with very good brakes and new tires. I would definitely recommend this rental location. Bob was very kind and helpful.

Again,I chose this location,when I got home there was a last minute change made by YOU for a location 20+ miles away.Had to call and insist on dropping the trailer at my preferred location.For both the pick up and drop off,I picked location convenient to me and at the last minute you changed locations,even after I received confirmation on my original locations.After 2 bad experiences with uhaul,I will be looking elsewhere for any truck or trailer rental in the future.

This place is a wreck and was not all certain anyone had been there in the past forty years. Since we dropped off on a holiday I did not expect to see anyone. There is a place with a sign for a key drop, otherwise hard to know if this place is even in business.

Was very annoyed to be told when I called after picking up vehicle and told Bobs was an acceptable drop off location to get a call saying Bobs couldn't accept the vehicle and I was to be sent to a location about 30 mies away (given that can't drive truck on al roads). Bob was there and had no problem taking the vehicle and to be tod he couldst AFTER taking delivery of vehicle was just wrong. On top of it your customer service people were misinformed as to his ability and were not helpful at all and told me that the prior operators were wrong. Vehicle was perfect and Bob and Manhattan personnel were great but your customer service people were horrible.

Returned vehicle after dark un announced after long! drive. Bob VERY GRACIOUS!!! He alone made this drop off site worthwhile. Thanks Bob!!

The location is an abandoned service station with rotting cars covered in weeds. There is no sign, no one answers the phone during the day. Impossible to find and the address was incorrect.

The owner had trouble with the computer. Could not print the contract. Also did not check availability of preferred drop off location. Had problem reaching him on telephone. Did accommodate us to leave truck on his site until morning so we could drive it in daylight.

I would NOT rent from this location again. The UHAUL rep on the phone said Bob's Service Center opened at 5:30, we arrived at 6:00 and it was closed. We called UHAUL and this time were told that this location doesn't open until at least 7pm or 8pm. When we finally were able to pick up the truck, Bob was nice and helpful enough, but the surroundings and state of the building were creepy and unprofessional, to say the least. The yard is filled with junked cars and the entry and office was stacked to the ceiling with clutter, much of it dating back at least 15 years. The office was dingy, cold, and smoky, and we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for the 10+ year old computer to load our reservation, which we were told was "faster than usual". The whole experience was just creepy- I'm glad I was using the buddy system.

Oddball hours.(6:30PM to 2:00AM supposedly). Couldn't reach them on phone day or night after I dropped off car trailer.I would use them out of necessity when picking up car locally to take back to my area sometime in August.

This location was not acceptable. Absolutely no parking. I had no idea where to park the truck in what looked like a junk yard. Nobody answered the phone x2 when I called to inquire about drop off.

Bob was awesome. Very personable. The biggest issue was the dialup Internet, as it took over an hour to submit the rental paperwork. Otherwise, the equipment was in great condition and he explained everything we needed to know for our drive.

This location is extremely convenient, but the customer is really left on their own to figure out the return process. Quick to respond with completion of the order though.

The location is an auto repair shop that is cluttered with cars in the front lot and the office area is complete chaos. Although the attendant was courteous and friendly, the old computer with sticky keys on the keyboard combined with a slow dial-up modem made an expected 10-15 minute rental experience turn into 45 minutes. However the equipment was clean, fully gassed, and ready for me when I arrived.

You can look at my reservationa nd figure that out, i am not about to have uhaul unnerve me any longer. i am currently expecting a call back regarding a serious complaint with your company! horrible experience from start to finish!!!!

The office is a tiny tiny space with stacks & stacks of paraphenalia from ceiling to floor., with room only for a dirty chair for the client to sit in. The gas fumes were asphyxiating & I actually got sick. The computer literally took 20 minutes to boot up. The staff smoke cigarettes with no exhaust fan in this tiny office. The whole experience was very scary. However, the truck was very clean & that experience was wonderful & safe. The rest was a nightmare.
