kevin F. | Expérience généraleWhile the location was ok it was the booking part of this that is completely below sub par. They had no idea of the locations, apparently on how to use google maps, or how to communicate with those in there own office. Upon booking the truck we had a confirmation for a truck that was with in 5 miles of our house. Then we were contacted by the regional office stating that they did not have a truck at that location however they had one 45 miles in the opposite direction we were going to be traveling. The day before we were getting ready to leave another person from the office contacted us to state that the they had a truck closer to us and it would be on our way to our location and confirmed the booking. That afternoon we were again contacted and advised that that truck was not available and they scheduled us a truck to be picked up near NY city about 60 miles away from us and definitely not in the direction of travel. Finally we compromised on a location 65 miles away from us in the direction of travel while not ideal we were stuck as we had a deadline to get off of our storage bin and the help had already made a commitment to us to help out. We passed several locations on the trip that was much closer to us and observed the size truck we rented at those locations both days and they did not move so why were we made to travel extra miles to pick up and drop off the truck we rented, still waiting fro that answer and compensation for the mix up

However, more lighting would be much more beneficial if people need to go to their unit at night. It will also provide a stronger sense of security. Overall, everything else was great. Merci.

Abigail L. | Expérience généraleThe 10 foot truck rented from this location was returned at the same fuel level when it was picked up. I provided the gas receipt with two gallons purchased and filled in this truck before being returned. I received a bill with a 30 dollar addition for fuel service and is currently being disputed. This facility is not a full Uhaul facility and is rental provider on behalf of U-Haul.

I've been in contact with customer service twice and now I'm waiting to hear back in email form. My truck was not at the first location when I arrived. The first customer service person told me that I'm guaranteed to have a truck there's just no guarantee when or where and the second customer service person told me I'm only guaranteed my truck if I get a phone call from someone guaranteeing it. Regardless of the guarantee I didn't have a truck when I booked it and it put me an hour and a half behind schedule. I did reach out via email and I have received a response that my situation is being handled at some level above customer service.
Rebecca B.Before my arrival I already uploaded my information and prepaid to save time at pickup but the person was not familiar with getting paperwork done and could not find key for the truck. I was there for fifty minutes. My other complaint with the pickup was that I made the reservation over a month ago at a location by my residence and was moved to one over 16 miles from my house.

I had booked the truck a month or more in advance so no problem getting exactly what I wanted. Additionally, the truck was much more comfortable to drive than previous rental I had done years earlier.

It took an extremely long time to process the reservation and they then charged us for insurance I had denied on my online reservation that they were never able to retrieve. I have requested the charge for the insurance be refunded and I filed a complaint with the customer service number.

I had read so many negative comments regarding customer service at this location, I was expecting a horror show, but the lady behind the counter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Associate couldn't be nicer, however the wait and struggle was horrendous. The vehicle was clean and had no issues when I finally received it.

Robert S.Representative had a nasty attitude. I asked her to put my brother as the driver and she said her screen doesn't allow her to do that. She said it's between me and my brother. I've rented from uhaul several times and i know better. I had to go in my vehicle and call the customer service number to complain. I went back into her office where she was on the phone trying to fix it. She should've tried to help me the first time instead of getting rid of me. I waited 30-45 going back forth with her and customer service. Ridiculous

JOHN S.The poor man who waited on me was just back from vacation. The system to login to u-hall apparently had been changed while he was out and there was no one else there. After several phone calls he got it sorted out and everything was good from that point on. Lots of waiting while people were waiting for me to show up with the truck. Not the guys fault. He tried hard and eventually got it done.

Our business is on Union Blvd and when we passed the Union Blvd location they had plenty of 10ft trucks available. So it was unfortunate that your website recommend a location for pick up that was out of our way.

KATHRYN B.I normally rent from Budget. I decided to use U-Haul because I needed a smaller truck and the price as cheaper. When I arrived the women didn't even greet us. She just stared at me until I said something. She barely explained the policies to me and had an attitude when I had questions. When explained the cleaning policy to me, she stated that she wasn't paid enough to have to clean up after me. She even had an attitude when I stated that I didn't want to purchase the truck insurance. When I got to the truck I walked around it to check for scratches and dents. I had to return to the office to inform her that I wanted to report them. She had an attitude with me about having to gt up and go outside. She didn't even document my scratches on any paperwork. Thankfully I didn't come to the location alone and have a smartphone for documentation. I will NEVER rent from U-Haul ever again and will most definitely never give this location any of my business!!

SUSAN C.How about not letting people scam charges on return policies by stating the Uhaul truck I used had a 3 Mile per gallon rating (promised 12mpg on website) and using this claim to lie about drop-off fuel levels. I dropped your truck off on-site after refueling the truck to the promised level of 3/4 full. I was later charged with driving the truck an added 8 miles above my contract of 44 miles total, making a grand total of 52 miles driven. The drop-off site later stated in addition to my 8 mile charge (about $4 total) that those 52 miles left the tank at 1/4 fuel levels and that I neglected to refuel it. Charging me an amount that is now risking my ability to pay next months rent. Despite this being obvious levels of fraud (how does a truck go through half a 31 gallon tank, 15 gallons of fuel, from a 3/4 fuel gauge to 1/4, in a total of 52 miles driven?) It doesnt taken a math major to understand what is going on here. Yet unfortunately I was advised by your customer service that it is "on me" to work out my dispute with the drop-off site using your name for fraud. It's been over 24 hours and I am still waiting for the drop-off site to call me. This has not made my move very pleasant, convenient, or easy and I will likely have to go to court for something easily avoidable had Uhaul instilled a policy that allowed I agreeably sign a receipt after drop-off. It's this negligence that has me thinking Uhaul is in on the scam. Never again.
