I was initialy booked to have dropp off location in newcastle ontario when went to pick the equipment, owner asked to return the truck at same location as pick up otherwise he willl charge 300 on top. Your office shall not promise if they cant keep it.

I like the idea U-Haul is now offering the gas tank FULL. Always felt the 3/4th tank was a bit sneaky!. Easy transaction and the vehicle in great condition.

Your phone app, is crap, hard to use, confusing. This pickup location is a dump. The only reason I used it was it was close to home. The truck was dirty. I wiped down all the touch surfaces with sanitizing wipes and they came up black with dirt.

C Store was well organized and truck was clean and ready for use. Truck had a pretty good vibration in the steering wheel due to something like a wheel being out of balance, and it pulled to the right pretty bad. Not unsafe, just quite noticeable. Time for a front end tune up and alignment. Overall, everything worked well for what I needed to do.

I was not notified that pick up location did not open until 9 am when booking the truck, booking was to be for 8 am pick up. Arrived at pick up location, was then notified that they did not have any furniture pads/blankets - which had been "confirmed" during the ordering process. This was very disappointing as they can be essential when moving.

Location was convenient. I prearranged the rental weeks in advance including an appliance dolly. It wasn't in the truck and had to return to pick one up. Also noticed damage to the front bumper that wasn't marked. Better attention to detail would have made my experience much better.

Our original booking was with a store in Newcastle, Ontario. We made the online booking and checkin but when I tried to call the shop 48 hours before the rental there was no answer. I called your 800 number and learned it was closed due to CoVid. While I understand this, I think that the online site should not accept reservations and check-in's. Ideally I would have expected a call or note from Uhaul. the 800 number was excellent and got me another truck, however it was 25 miles away from the first and in the opposite direction of my travel. If the first location had told me earlier I could have rebooked in locations much closer to me. Overall an excellent experience outside of this booking experience.

Simply, I had 295 miles in my contract and this location entered 244 miles, and I was charged $1.99 incorrectly. Not worth fighting about but was disappointing. My experience renting from uhaul was still positive. I would rent again without hesitation.

The attendant who helped me was great. But your mobile site sucks on my phone. It took me almost 30 minutes to try to claim the rental at the site. With that said, I can't complain about the truck quality or the staff. Fix the mobile process. Thank you.

Make sure the vehicle is in good condition. My van didn't have washer fluid. Also the right wiper blade was broken. Very poor visibility.

The truck was filthy and covered in graffiti. The agent told me that I didn't have a booking even though I pre-paid - he seemed very confused. He eventually figured it out then charged me an additional $20+ after I believed I'd paid in full online. Very frustrating start to the move.

Nothing, everything is great about this U-Haul location . I had to get some furniture on the weekend and at first we wanted saturday morning van rental but they were originally booked. So we booked for Tuesday , but we received a call and they had a van coming back at 3 pm which was perfect for our needs.

Explain the charges. Was not informed about the milage limits and what should have been more than $60. came to $110. due to milage. They also only have 1 person to deal with the rentals and they are not there all the time so had to go back many times to get clarification on the charges. Uninpressed.

Nothing it was easy , this location is convenient and well maintained . This location is my go to for rentals for using vans to move large items . Will use them again to pick up my furniture that I am having recovered

Too small and very hard for inexperience uhaul truck drivers to manauver. Drove the 26' uhaul truck for 2 hours on highway. Refilled $70 in gas at $1.14 / liter and still charged $33 for fuel when it was around the level when I got it. Paid $310 for rental and they still wanted $33 for gas .

Had a mobile reservation arrived at 5:40pm but person at store refused to give me keys for truck, kept telling me to come back at 7pm. Called U-Haul customer service and after 30-40 minutes of the customer service rep telling the person to give me the keys he finally did. Store owner shows up and says the reservation was delayed on their end. I countered his comment as U-Haul customer service was able to see my reservation 45 minutes prior.

A terrible experience. The back cargo door latch motor failed, so the back door would not shut - a big issue. Also clearly the result of a mechanical failure. When I took it back, I was met with anger and accusations - "Did you get insurance? I will be reporting this to U-Haul." The latch had nothing to do with me, and I was the one inconvenienced by the whole thing, but I was being blamed. No apology, not attempt to understand the issue - just an embarrassing effort to blame a customer for a failed part. On top of that, the van smelled like smoke, and the back was dirty. I washed it myself and also got in trouble for washing it. To top it off, this location waited several days to charge my card, and then made multiple charges instead of a single one. This is the LAST time I will ever rent from UHAUL, including on a corporate basis where we have rented several times for events. I hope that this will serve as notice that terrible customer service includes repercussions.
