While the local provider was great, the service from uhaul was terrible. They charged for blankets and dolly that we never used and had to call multiple times while we already had the truck and even after we had returned it. Very frustrating and we were never credited for the items we were charged for but never had.

I made a reservation to pick up and drop off a truck from this location. I was informed the day before pick up that my truck was in another city for me to pick it up....less then 24hrs notice. I don't own a vehicle to travel to another town hence pick up and drop off in North Bay. I was forced to pay $65.00 for a taxi to pick up my moving truck. I was told they would take $60.00 off my rental which still for some reason cost me an arm and a leg. very disappointed with this service in North Bay. i personally have been dealing with uhaul across Ontario for 25 years and i have never been so disgusted or disappointed.Not even an apology for the added stress to an already stressful time. Should i require uhaul services again i will deal with the sturgeon falls location ONLY. Thank You.

Have better instructions on what to do if location is closed when you drop off the rental. I was a few miles over and had been told to contact the drop off location on Monday to let them know. I drove to the location only to be told that the rental had not been checked in yet and not to worry about it that my credit card would be billed. Not sure where the fault is for this but since the location was 20 minutes away it was a waste of gas and my time. It would have been good to know that I did not have to go in.

Although the truck itself was fine and easy to drive, I wasn't to happy to have to wait another almost 30 minutes to get it. To give credit where due, the guy at the counter did try to hurry things along as he had to write everything out the old fashion way due to his internet provider being down.(so my time was wasted filling out everything ahead of time online) It's just Murphy's Law screwing with me yet again! Last time was a snow storm that morning and the guy running the shop was late getting there to open up!! Not much you can do about fate.

Truck was reserved many weeks in advance. Received email confirmation 10m before business closing on the day before the move advising that the truck will be available at a location that is 45m away from me, at a time that is 2hr later than I reserved. All despite the closest location being much closer and having had the trucks. Will not reserve online ever again.

make sure utility dollies are available. I have a severe ankle injury and lack of dolly although preordered, was not there. This caused extreme pain for me whereas the dolly would have eliminated much of the suffering. I also got a far too big truck and it was too expensive to fuel on this trip. I got less than 3 km per dollar and spent $175 in fuel for the trip. I had ordered a 14ft truck and was going to be given a 20ft truck. At that time a 17ft truck (still too large for my needs) became available so i took it instead.

You ask about location, not about the equipment. Location was fine, people were pleasant. Nice guy actually, friendly, straight foward & easy to talk with. The truck however was unsafe. When braking the entire back end shifted to the right so much the writing on the side of the truck literally could be read from behind. In addition, while doing 90 km/h I drove past a police speed notification board that said I was doing 82 km/h so your speedo is about 9% over. This is important when charging by the KM. I was only overcharged about $5, which is not a lot but it's the principal. The truck was horrible, was covered in previous damage, I couldn't use the ramp because one of the welds had been snapped by a previous renter. Thankfully I took the insurance because I'm quite positive there is no way I would have been able to identify all the existing damage prior to leaving & would have gotten nailed for it on the drop off. I know when reading reviews, especially negative ones, they should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm also being realistic that I expected a hard used rental truck, but the one I got was way below my expectations.

I have never been treated so badly. The gentleman spoke to me very abruptly and was extremely rude. I asked him if I had done anything to offend him but he just brushed me off. He seemed totally annoyed that he had to put the ball on...I had brought two different sizes since I didn't know what was needed. He got angry with me for pulling my car in the garage...I thought that was where he wanted but apparently I was supposed to part just outside the door. I went back twice to return the trailor(during the day). He was not there so I unhooked it myself and took a piece of the wire from the trailor by mistake and had to go there again to get my deposit back and return the wire. He was grumpy and unfriendly when I went back for the deposit return.. I will never,ever go there again and have told many people about the service. This guy needs a lesson in customer service .

The agent at this location claimed that I had not filled the vehicle with the appropriate amount of fuel. The truck was returned with the appropriate amount of fuel. My credit card was charged with an unauthorized fuel charge that the agent at this location refused to remove. This was unacceptable and will be disputed, through the courts if necessary. If not resolved in a manner satisfactory to me, I will no longer be using u-haul for rentals of vehicles or equipment nor will I recommend the company to others.

When we picked up the truck we were told that it was the only uhaul working and when it is taken off of the lot it is no longer their responsibility! We then took the uhaul home and it would not start!!

The location had technical problems - their internet was too slow to handle uhaul's booking system. Took 30 mins to get going. Also, employee told me that uhaul does not honour 3rd party insurance, which I think is illegal.

Allow vehicle pick up at customers convience. Could not pick truck up till 10am. Moving - you want to start early. Why not 7am????? Requested 17ft truck - got 26ft truck. They gave me an extra 20 mile free - big deal, I was within allowable milage anyway, therefore larer truck just made gas more expensive

I have no problem with the location of the pick up but the bill states that if the pick up location were to change I would be contacted no later then 6pm Saturday night. I did not get that phone. The orginal pick up location was Aurora and the only reason I found out it changed was because I call the Aurora location to confirm the order, it was then she told me I was picking the truck up in Stouffville. In which case I don't feel that I should've had to pay the $12 extra for the extra milages that was over. The guy at the drop off location tried to fix it but couldn't so I end up having to pay for it. The people that I dealed with at the pick up and drop off location was excellent but the change of pick up location was a disappointment based on the fact tha no one have called like stated to let us know it had changed. very disappointed.

the location is a DIFFERANT FUCKING NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! its not food 2 go, it is pattersons tires. there is nowhere that the address is posted. i had to search all over for the address and name food 2 go and finally decided to leave it at pattersons tire and had to call a uhaul operater to tell them. there was no answer at pattersons tire {although it was sunday} and there was nothing indicated it was a uhaul place on answer machine. i also left the trailer next to 2 others in an open lot where anyone could have come and taken it. i had to call back the following day to confirm it was there and everything was fine. next time i wont rent a trailer i will just pick one up for free from pattersons tire. making the reservations went well, picking up went well and i was happy with the equipment. the drop off was horrible and may sway my decision to use u-haul in the future. i hope this helps and i hope you do change the name in your database. -scott shepherd

the location is perfect, the service is good, the price is fair. BUT PLEASE GET A BETTER MAPPING TOOL. FROM HERE TO UHAUL THEY SEND ME TO THE 401 THEN TO DESERONTO THEN GET OFF 401 THEN GET ON 401 BACK TO NAPANEE ?!?!?!?!?!!! THIS WAS AN EXTRA 7-8 KM'S SO MAYBE THE DIRECTIONS CAN INCLUDE THE FACT THAT IT IS ACROSS FROM THE FLYING J EVERYBODY KNOWS WHERE THAT IS...

they did not even ask my husband if he wanted insurance they just put it on. When I spoke with him from Ottawa and told him I did not order the insurance and did not want it, he went back and advised them. Were really rude and put him on line with customer service. The lady there was extremely condescending and ignorant to him. He was so fed up that he just said that his wife will deal with it. It is unethical to add something to a customers bill without there knowledge and I will be taking this matter higher. Thank you Carol Piontek
