Don't use this place - person in charge wasn't even there and I had to communicate with him by phone. There was no place to sit while waiting for clearance to take the truck. I checked in twice prior to the pick up day and they had no record of it, so when I got there the computers were so overloaded that it took forever to check in. I had booked several weeks prior and expected to p/u at the Agoura U-Haul center. I was switched to the Simi location two days prior to p/u and the location was not close to me at all. Because I wasn't at an official U-Haul center, I had to make a special trip to a hardware store just to buy a lock. I spoke to a field supervisor who said he would send me an email where I could send back a copy of the receipt for the lock for reimbursement and never received the email. This was not the pick up experience I expected at all.

They were really super nice, but I don't speak Spanish, and they didn't have my reservation because it was transferred, so it made it really difficult. The guy tried a translation app, but some things are just lost in translation that way. I finally called uhaul directly and that representative spoke Spanish and everything then went well.

The equipment I ordered (cargo van) was not available. I was offered "take it or leave it" on a 10' box truck, but it made me late. I already had all aspects of moving help and a narrow window for transporting what was needed, there was no question of "take it." The windows were filthy inside and out and the windshield was cracked. This caused glare visibility problems. Unacceptable, this is a car detailing place. I did not have time to fix this myself, I was already late. When I tried to turn on the headlights, the whole assembly was loose and the buttons pushed into the dashboard. I did have to stop and fix that (making me more late). The truck being late foiled my attempted delivery of certain items but also took me 50 miles out of the way before I knew I couldn't complete that part of the move. The cargo van I ordered could navigate the shortcut side canyons at the level of wind experienced that day. The box truck I received could not. I was forced to go around on main freeways an extra 20 mi and sit in crawling traffic for two hours. The truck was not sized for my body, threw out my knee because of the angle required to drive it. When I turned the truck back, I was told I would get a text or email in 30 minutes. That's not what happened, and I needed to sit on the phone for about 45 minutes with customer service to fix it. I picked this location because it was walking distance from where I needed the truck to pick up and transport furniture. I would've been better served elsewhere. I got the feeling U-Haul was this guy's side hustle and he was not interested in my business. He seemed a little helpful when I picked up, but given everything that happened, I've revised that assessment.

The location and vehicle were good The attendant was very helpful and kind I would NOT recommend this Method of renting at all - meaning using the phone The option does not take in consideration system failures or (reception quality) etc This survey is irrelevant because it focuses on items for which the answer will be satisfactory
