Maintenance on the 10†uhaul truck. Check engine lights were on, tire lights were on to be serviced. Was concerning while driving it.
Gabrielle M.Although the truck was clean, the check tire pressure light was concerning. The truck got the job done but was very shaky. My passenger thought the window would brake open with the windy whistle and the shaking of the truck. Not sure if this is something that is suppose to happen with these trucks or not. Although when lights come on you start to worry if you will complete your mission.

Kara S.It wasn't explained to me that there would be two separate charges. I don't know why the whole amount wasn't taken out of my account after I returned the vehicle. I have an additional promissory note for almost 40 in addition to the mileage, gas I put in it before dropping it back off which took it to a full tank and the regular truck rental fee with the insurance. I have no idea what this other amount is for. Nothing was explained to me when I rented the truck. Now I have to call U-Haul to pay this other fee. Very dissatisfied. I've rented from two other locations in the last 2 years and have never had any additional fees

Richard P.I made a reservation online for a car Dolly. Went to pick it up they let somebody else have it. Saying it was me. Sent me a receipt with them people's address and I think They're credit card number because it wasn't mine. And I've never got to use the car Dolly. Talk about a joke what's the point of reserving something if they're gonna let somebody else use it. Then have the nerve to say that it was me that was using it Or the person was using it for me II don't know what happened.

Sharon D.First of all, I was.late picking up the truck so that's all on me. However, they didn't have to be rude. They had a Ford truck pulled up like that's the one I would be taking. Then happened to figure it out they gave me a GM key for a Fors truck. But by this time, owners of the rental place had left. Tried calling...no answer. So I tried the key in the only GM truck on the lot and worked so I took that truck instead.

Lewis T.This location has been used by me twice in the past 14 days. These complaints have been adressed and correceted by the area manager, however my experience still needs documented. The first rental was from lima with drop off at carls. After never receiving my 100$refund, I then called cust supp only to discover that "carls" had issued it as a cash refund. Which they kept and even after asking them about my refund directly they claimed no knowledge. Once cust srvc contacted them they then claimed to have it. Upon collection they docked me $30 for overmileage. My original contract was for 112 miles, the day after I returned the Uhaul to "Carls" they edited my miles to only having 60. Thus causing my mileage "overage" (which didnt exist prior to the edit. I also rented a uhaul from "carls" for one day. I had everything preregistered and checked in online. Total was$125. After driving off with the vehicle my credit card alert came thru and they charged me $285. Having added a tow pckg, a trailer and two added insurances - ALL of which were NOT on my original contract. Upon return I needed to have 1/2 a tank. I filled it to 9/16 and photographed the fuel gauge upon return. I then was charged a "fuel" charge with them claiming that I had returned with 1/4 a tank. I immediately went to "carls" and demanded to see the fuel gauge- since this $20 some dollars of fuel had been added and charged to me. Upon demanding to see the gauge in this truck it of course was exactly where i returned it. I took before and after photographs. Additionally I was then yelled at by "carls"- that they been doing this for 50 years and all i had to do was come talk to them. Keep in mind that the literal day before i inquired in person about some of these issues and was blown off. Per "carls" I guess that this is how buisness is done there and "if" I find the error then I am to..... Why should customers be over charged and have their orders changed and be lied to and cheated out of their money- THEN be expected to fight to get it back. One of the worst experiences I have had at any buisness; much less just U-haul. Thank you to the area mgr for getting my "stolen" money back - though I still paid dearly for this excellent service I received at the "carls" location in bucyrus, OH Would you ever use Uhaul again? mike@teadoctors.com

ERIC P.Maybe offer a smoke free option. I drove this truck over 2000 miles in a cab that smelled like a bar in the morning. Not fun for a non smoker. Having the windows cleaned from the smoke would have been very nice too. The brakes in the truck were very stiff which made it hard to drive across country.

Katrina T.Carl's was a pretty nice place. Carl was helpful and courteous. The only issue I had was NOT with Carl's but with the locations. I requested a truck online 11 days prior to my move to be in Tiffin, OH 45 minute drive away from Carl's. One wasn't available for a one way trip. I had to drive to Carl's to pick up the truck and drive it to Tiffin, OH where I needed it. Yes they gave me more miles and a bigger truck to compensate but I still had to drive an extra 1,5 hrs round trip and put gas in the truck for the mileage I did not need but had to use to get the truck to where I needed it.
Kevin L.When I placed my truck order online, I chose the location I wanted to pick up the truck according to the availability of the truck needed. When I arrived to pick it up at the chosen location, it was not there. The truck I was using was at another location so I was late picking it up as it was not where I was told it would be. Another customer that day had the same thing happen to him previously where he had to travel 30 minutes away to get his truck. When orders are made online, the trucks need to be where they are intended to be picked up. Moving is on a schedule and a mistake like these can be costly.

Joshua N.Uhaul made me drive 25 miles to a different location to pick up transport from where originally rented. Also trailer was not at site at time rented. I think I should get a credit for this hassle and inconvenience.
