RONNY SThis is a mixed review. The agent was very good and found him to be much better than others I have dealt with in the past. The trailer I rented was in good shape and well-maintained. The offsite location for pick up needs to be cleaned up. A lot of garbage around the lot. Looks like homeless people use it frequently and also for their washroom.

WILLIAM MRude Employee, was upset that I entered 5 minutes before opening time despite unlocked door. Lied about "roadside assistance not being included" if insurance not purchased. (Roadside is included with all rentals per U-Haul) Trailer extremely rusted & damaged, including wires hanging from frame. Should not be on the road. Had to be replaced by U-Haul at another location.

MYKOLA KStore was dirty, truck was filthy and the check engine light was on. I wiped the steering wheel with Lysol wipe and it was black, dust everywhere and the windshield covered in bugs.

Christopher MHave the reservation at the reserved location. Reservation "moved" to a different location an hour before pickup. Didn't see a 50$ credit anywhere for not having my reservation available as requested. This happened the last time as well in 2020, but I chocked it off to Covid… that said, the employees were helpful and kind at both locations

Laura RThe staff is friendly and did a good job, I've rented there several times and they always have my rental.. but the truck was not clean. In fact it looked and smelled like it never gets cleaned, just really dirty and grimey. Also, it was like 30C and the AC didn't work, just blowing hot air.

brent wArrived at 145pm to find a note on the door that it was closed and they would be back at 230pm. When we called the number provided no on answered. Then the person started texting us. We were told to park in this lot, although we had a 20" truck and there was absolutely no room for it. Finally we were told to go around the corner to the Anne St location. This was all over phone and was horrible communication. After pulling around the corner to the lot we parked both the trailer we were returning and the 20' truck. After asking for someone to come help us no one came. We left the keys in the drop box as this location was closed as well. Someone called us about 20 minutes later to ask what truck number we had returned, we had already left and had no way to confirm this as I had left the paper work at home. After 3 days of moving, heat, yesterdays horrible communication, no apologies offered, and no help, this was a horrendous way to end my move. The Peterborough locations were absolutely great to deal with. Not once were we asked if anything was wrong with the truck or trailer (back driver side light was out the whole way to Barrie), or about gas or anything else. Do better in the future Barrie, I fear I may never use uhaul again.

Bruce GWith only one staff member working at this location, the process of picking up the vehicle was very slow. I also found the website very misleading about the price of boxes. The actual cost was double what the website showed. Very disappointing.
David HI tried to call for two days during business hours and no one answered or returned my messages. The day I went to pick up the trailer no one was there, but a note on the door with a phone number to call. I called the number and no one answered. After 15 minutes of waiting, the attendant showed up. The customer service is terrible. I will not be back. On top of that the equipment is subpar and dirty.

helena rI had several problems with the app. Kept timing out/freezing. Also had to walk a block east to find the actual truck at a near by lot. Located off of Anne street. Other than that. I would do it again.
Jason PService was friendly, well informed and totally 'up front', as in no hidden fees. Contract was well explained and all questions answered honestly. The truck , the tires, the engine, all mechanically in very good condition. My only issue is that the inside cab of truck had not been cleaned. Paper work (from last 2-3 renters still there), dirt and coffee stains on the floor, paper coffee cup in door cup holder. This was not a big deal for me and probably due to the office being very busy, customers wanting service AND staff looking after customers and getting them on their way quickly, versus cleaning the cab.

Barry KSame Old Same old with Uhaul. I have no issues with the representative.He was polite,and professional. I rented a small trailer and once again the one assigned was not road worthy. the safety chains were broken and missing 1 hook plus the rubber retainers. The yard was not at same location as office. I called twice while there, to report what was wrong and to be assigned another trailer. Only met with an answering machine! I located another trailer and reported the unit # and license plate by phone that , I was using this one .Upon returning unit ,rep was in yard helping another customer. I told and showed him broken trailer, expressed my disappointment . He never returned either of my calls or listened to them because he was unaware that I had used another trailer.

It was the 3 calls from 3 different trying to cancel my truck, telling me no trucks available in Ontario, then told I had to drive 10 hours to pickup my truck. It just went on and on, very stressful.to find out there were trucks available everywhere ??? I don't understand why I was put through so much. I don't want to go through this experience again.

Graham BThe trailer was frozen into the ground. No one at the office helped - just a note "Be back soon." The trailer was missing wiring and safety rubber stoppers! Again, no help from the office. Not to mention the fact that U-Haul should have its equipment regularly maintained and checked. The trucks wheel alignment was completely off. We had to hold the steering wheel at 11 o'clock all of the 3300 km from Barrie to Calgary. The wipers were useless, we had to buy new ones ourselves at the first gas station. The passenger make-up mirror was broken.
Yuri KI had to come here because the u haul in wasaga beach screwed me over they were not open and they didn't have the 26 footer I ordered from them 2 weeks prior so had to drive anextra hr each way pay tge gas and the kmsthat were extra really not happy with uhaul as a company for not doing what was promised but it is what it is this location was much better though
Chris AI don't understand the fuel situation, getting the truck at 1/4 tank makes absolutely no sense, i had to go put a little fuel in before anything happened instead of going only once at the end of the day i had to go twice and out of my way to fill, If the truck was just full of fuel when I picked it up, I could go do what I needed to do and go to station to fill up when I was done. thus I had to drive more KM's that I was charged for just to put a little fuel in twice
KEVIN PRear passenger tire was low, had to add air during the rental to drive safely. Should be 80psi the tire was only at 32psi.
Stephen EI dropped off after hours. The lot and building setup could be better for clarity. I dropped off the key in another business's drop box.
