I don't understand what happened, the rate was supposed to be 30$ for the rental and 1$ per mile, they discounted me 47,66$ and then 44$ even though I only traveled 25 miles, it should have been 30$ for the rental and 25$ for the miles plus taxes, where is the other 44$ supposed to be charged from?

George W.Gas pump had no display. We dropped the vehicle with gas at 5:55. It looks like we are being charged 44$ additional. Not sure why. Will look into why since we filled gas and were on time.
Deborah H.Originally booked for a location right around the corner from my place. I received a last minute call late Friday (for a Saturday move) that my truck would not be available and I would need to pick up from a new location 10 miles away AND at a later time. Whatever, not the first time UHaul has done this to me. I get to the new location and the truck is not there as scheduled/guaranteed - waiting for another 40 minutes before the truck is ready. Not once did any uhaul rep apologize for any of the multiple inconveniences on their behalf - will never use Uhaul again.

Richard B.They did not have the dolly, utility dolly or furniture pads. This was NOT the location I chose to pick up from, but instead was changed to the day before pick up. Clearly this location should not be in charge of uhual rentals. They have poor customer service, their drive way and lot are full of dangerous deep pot holes and clearly they are not prepared to have everything that was ordered. Not only that but he assured me I would not be charged for the items they did not have and guess what? He charged me anyways. I contacted customer service and they told me I wouldn't be charged when I dropped off the truck and the total amount did not change. I am very disappointed uhual in a whole and will not be using this service for any future moves.

JOE S.This fuel charge is completely unacceptable! I asked the man at the drop off location (which sells gas) if I needed to get fuel. I told him I didn't want to get charged a fuel fee. He said there would not be a charge. He flat out lied to me! I drove 15 miles total and I got charged $37,35 for 8 gallons. How can I use 8 gallons in 15 miles? This equates to 1,8 miles per gallon. I'm pretty sure that your trucks get better fuel mileage than that. I want this charge credited back and this Uhaul dealer out of business. I have heard other stories like this about this haul location. He is not honest and doesn't help;p your brand at all.
Jeff S.Truck cabin was absolutely filthy. It definitely wasn't looked over or even started before renting to us. We were in a pinch and this was the 2nd effort of the day. Previous truck had tires so bald that I cancelled, only to end up with this piece of junk in Lakeway. Previous driver spilled coffee, food, God knows what else all over the cabin. My wife and I ended up cleaning the cabin ourselves. Then I drop off the vehicle in Boise only to be told that from the sound of the truck, he wouldn't of rented it out. He could smell gas as I was pulling up. The drop-off was easy, that was the best part of this trip.

The location was not my original or preferred location, and it was not acceptable, but I needed to move personal belongings, so went forward. Upon returning, no words from the clerk, no. Checking of the vehicle, he just gave me a thumbs up. Then I get my bill with a fuel surcharge, even though I put fuel in it. Plus I got some other “safe move†charge of $14 that I did not ask for. Will use another service in the future, there are other options.

David J.Non-specific to either location. The truck while clean and maintained at pick-up had no process or form to document prior existing damage or proof damage was prior reported. In this case minor damage existed on the right rear vertical box corner and a wiper damage to the windshield. Additionally the lack of sound proofing in the cab was deafening, Nav instructions / conversation was difficult as a result.

Also, I was charged a cleaning fee when I left the truck spotless and returned the truck early the same day. I ordered packing blankets and an appliance dolly which was not provided. A receipt was not given when the truck was rented-poor service all around.

Btw, this location is extremely sketchy and gross. I specifically chose another location, but you all switched me to this one.

Did not get vehicle out of lot until 9:45 and site 45 minutes away so my movers ready at my home at 10am waited and cost $$$$ because of delay.

Steven W.The truck pick-up went smoothly, The person behind the counter was the only employee on duty during a very busy time, but handled the transaction with aplomb. Returning the truck, however, was a different story. I turned in my truck about 15 minutes before my deadline and gave my key to the person behind the counter (different person). Although there were no other customers waiting for help, they took my key, did not give me any paperwork, and said I was good to go. I thought that was odd, but I figured they knew what they were doing, and besides, I had logged the return on the U-Haul app. When I got the emailed receipt, I saw I had been charged for a second rental period. It appears the employee went out to check in the truck 45 minutes after my deadline, resulting in a double charge. Lesson learned: ALWAYS get your final paperwork before leaving the facility.

Scott W.This is not the pick-up location's fault, but the U-Haul reservation system is abysmal. We had a reservation 3 weeks prior to pickup for Saturday 7/30/22 at a location near us. Friday morning we were notified we'd have to pick it up at a location 20 minutes away. Then Friday at 6pm (12 hours before pickup) we were told the only truck was 50 minutes away and couldn't be picked up until 12pm. We told U-Haul that location wouldn't work and assumed our reservation was cancelled, only to be notified at 12:30pm Saturday that a truck was waiting for us at this location (the 4th location). This fiasco caused us to make significant changes to our plans. DON'T TRUST YOUR RESERVATION - get a backup with another company.
Elliott W.By the time I got the number of the truck and the key, the agent had closed my pick-up record in the system. When I then checked out the truck and realized that the furniture pads I had ordered were not in the truck, the agent said he could not access the record. I had to scramble and spend another 1 1/2 hours ordering and picking up pads at another location.

Allan B.The UHAUL was deceitful. He lied by quoting my rate at 19 cents on the mile then charged me 39 cents. The clerk also lied to me and said, “I have six hours to rent the van.†I later called and said, “I'm not going to make it in six hours more like eight hours.†He then said, “I can have it for 24 hours without being charged an additional day.†I was flabbergastedâ€"I was busting my back to get it back in 6 hours! He also failed to give me a hard copy the transaction, which I have always gotten in the past with UHAUL. The van was filthy. The mat in the back did not lay flat preventing my boxes from laying flat and toppled over. There were even sunglasses in the van that I gave to a man wearing a UHAUL shirt that said he didn't work there. He left without giving the sunglasses to the deceitful clerk. I asked the clerk to go to the van with me to check it for prior damage. He rudely said, “Just go take pictures.†Then the man with the UHAUL shirt walked in and said he would go out with me. He walked around the van and said there were no damagesâ€"but, he liedâ€"there were many areas of damage. I took many pictures. He also stole the sunglasses that belonged to who ever had the van last. After seeing the deceitful charge of 39 cents on the mile. I called the clerk and he rudely said call customer service. It took me over an hour to talk to someone. I returned the van with a full tank. Because of the deceit with the 19 cents on the mile, the deceit for time I was allowed to have the van, the deceit over prior damage, the filth and bad loading conditions and the inexplicable rudenessâ€"I want all my money back. In all my years of experience with UHAUL, I have never had such despicable customer service. I am truly disappointed.

David H.This guy committed debit card fraud and charged me a random Payment of 62$ at 8:30pm after i already paid and finished usingbthe truck and closed everything out. The customer service rep says he added another day to my card at 8:29 pm without my permission. I have filed a police report and put a stop on that charge. He was very suspicious from the start and i had a bad feeling about the place from the get go. I feel like he is only targeting people he thinks have money, and that's not ok. He should not be a dealer and i will continue this through the legal system and writes every review i can on this terrible dealer location. It looks like a dump and he needs to audited immediately.
