Get rid of online service center--its horrible, slow, and very ineffective.
We dropped off the truck and the attached trailer on New Year's Day so the location was closed with an after hours area to park the vehicles. The process was easy and because everything is on the internet today, I received the drop off confirmation email in less than an hour. Nice :)

This location was EXCELLENT!!! She was extremely helpful and accommodating after I had originally ordered a 20 ft truck, couldn't get one and then was supposed to get a 15 ft truck. When we arrived we saw the 26 ft truck there and took it instead!!! I also called your corporate number twice: first time Erica (sp?) was HORRIBLE and did not help me at all!!!! Second time I think her name was Debbie and she was a sweetheart and very helpful!!!! Also---your location in Glen Elder, Kansas (where I wanted to get the truck in the first place) was extremely helpful and friendly!!!
My local site that i tried to book through didnt have any 20ft trucks, so I booked through Hays, which is 90 miles in the wrong direction. My pickup location was then changed to Smith Center, adding another 80 miles in the wrong direction. Thats almost 20 gallons of wasted fuel, and taking 3.5 extra hours to my move-out day. This could be remedied by your system either locking out sites without vehicles, or Uhaul needs to move vehicles back to these failing towns to keep their site somewhat accurate. Changing someone's pickup location to one that's 90 miles away is unacceptable. Uhaul did it twice for pickup, and didn't notify me, I had to call in to complain to get some mileage credited back to me. Thus does not reflect on the professionalism of my pick-up location's staff, this experience was negative because of Uhaul not getting vehicles where customers need them to be.

if you live around here this place is perfect. the only thing that can be done is to educate the people that are confirming reservations to look a little harder for the trucks that are sitting around in the smaller towns, the people i talked to were not to worried about it untill theyre trying to find one for themselves. i seen a couple of them near here after i already rented that one and drove 200 miles round trip. a lot of people cant afford $230. just to move 4 blocks.
Other than having more equipment available at local sites would be nice. I had to call several dealers to find a tow dolly. Every employee I have dealt with have been courteous and very helpful. Thank you
Your U-Haul agent was friendly and he explained the contract really well. Then we went to the truck and again he was helpful in explaining the operation of the truck. Thanks to him we began a successful trip/move.
Question number three there should read "Were the personnel helpful". "Was the personnel helpful" is atrocious grammar.
When I made reservations with your central reservation 800 # I was told "of course the local office would carry boxes". Not true! And get this, it was a very, VERY SMALL town and NO ONE sold boxes. Now if your reservation clerk had been honest to begin with I could have purchased boxes before arriveing in Smith Center. The closed option to purchase boxes was 90 miles one way! I really don't think this was very good service!@!
Please make sure that the pickup location does not change last minutes like it happened with my case!!
Originally, my pick-up site was in my home town, Hays, KS. The day before I was to pick up the truck I was informed it was now available 90 minutes away in Smith Center. I received my $50.00 rebate as a result. The truck's AC did not work properly. The AC fan was broke and the only way to cool the truck was via the defroster. Not a great way to stay cool for a 6 hour drive to Edmond OK.

The problem was having to drive 90 minutes one-way to pick up the equipment....REDICULOUS!!!!
He was laid back and relaxed. He quickly contacted the pick up location to determine that I indeed did not have a trailer rented and that the rental amount had been removed.
Very helpful on drop off time and accommodating to our needs.
No one was present when I dropped off the trailer on the evening of the 17th. But I had called earlier in the week and they were very helpful in letting me know the process for dropping off the trailer since they wouldn't be there.
This location was good. Online service was horrible. Worst experience of my life as far as costumer care.

This is the first time I have rented through uhaul and I can honestly say I wont ever do it again! The service was poor, and when I asked the lady on the phone if we could do wrong trip she informed me "uhaul doesnt really do that" so I had to do one way. Which costed me $60 extra. So im not happy with uhaul at all!

Drop off was after hours. Lot was very dark. Had no means to secure trailer or furniture pads (left in trailer). Otherwise, owner/operator was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Would recommend and/or use again. Thanks.
