Customer service at the counter was friendly, but the truck I rented had a problem with the fuel line, I had to take it straight to a gas station, and ask the attendant to watch to be sure he gas would go into through the gasoline,when he put gas into the truck, it came right out, so I had to take the truck back and get one of the other two trucks they had...they only had three trucks 2-10' & 1- 20' . I had to take the second truck to fuel right away as well, was supposed to be refunded for the gas from the first truck, but never was. If I wasn't in the predicament thrvI was in, I would have gone elsewhere.Karen W.

Used app for drop-off, very easy with no interaction with a person. Was promised a receipt showing the truck was returned, final charges, etc., and have not received that since dropping off the truck 20 hours ago. Recommend anyone dropping off equipment hands the keys to a human.John A.

Took about an half an hour to get truck, self check out didn't work because key was in the office and older gentleman didn't know what he was doing. I had made a reservation about a week ago and had it on my phone and truck was paid for. He insisted on calling uhaul in the meantime another lady came in saying she had reserved the same van. I was very disrespectfully treated by the staff. I reached there on time to pick the vehicle. He made a phone call somewhere to get the â€œapproval.â€ He asked me to wait. I waited for fifteen minutes. Then I asked how long will it take (because I had a tight timeline). His reply was, â€œdon't complain. Ok, don't complain. Don't make a fuss.â€ Asking someone who is causing delay as to how long is it going to take is a fuss??!!!! I have been very disappointed. As a family, we have used U Haul so many times in our various moves but this experience is so humiliating that I'm asking myself â€œis this the company I want to give business to?â€ I haven't ever vented about any company on social media but this experience was so terrible that the thought has crossed my mind several times!! U haul should discontinue this franchisee. I hope no one is treated by a u haul person the way I was treated !!RAJAT P.

While self-picking users might benefit from being able to submit - when asked - their expired ID from a file rather than from the camera, as one may likely not have it. I had to go back home and return later to get personal assistance, which could have been solved easierAlejandro V.
1. You all need to figure out the self pickup experience. I was asked for two other peoples identification. How will that simplify my life? Just verify my id and make me liable. 2. At checkout time don't show 4 screens of equipments. Want this? Want that? Just give me my truck and a single page of add on could be ok. Think about it, I am not a UX designer.Ayush J.
No improvements needed. This location on 9th Street in Corvallis has the most accommodating staff very polite and helpful, they go out of their way to make your visit and rental needs the best possible. They will work overtime just to make your day and needs as less stressful as they possibly can . At first glance the cabin looked clean, however there was some sticky substance on the seats and in the cup holders. The windshield was very dirty but I figured I could clean it with the wipers, there was no fluid in the wiper storage.That was unfortunate but I would expect much more from Uhaul. There was only about 1/3 of a tank of gas upon pickup. That was upsetting because I knew I would need to get gas twice that event.Lisa M.

It was confusing walking in as UHaul is located inside of a furniture store. There is no signage as to where to go. There was no one in the store when we walked in so we had to wait for a sales person to come out from the back to tell us "the UHaul" guy will be here soon.Natalie S.

This is the 2nd time I've used UHaul in the past 3 months, and I'm glad I chose this location both times. I had tried calling a nearby location each time, only to be disappointed by the attitude of the person who answered the call. Luke at Chateau is not only pleasant and professional, but also patient and understanding. Luke provided quick and easy services for reserving, picking up, and dropping off the 15' truck I rented. I received my bill via email and observed a 14 charge that I was billed for that was never explained when I reserved the truck in person nor the day when I picked it up. It was for a safe move charge. Should have been transparent versus after receiving the bill.BRUCE DUANE P.

Somehow, the truck I returned on Jan. 3, 2021 to the Uhaul location in Corvallis on 9th Street was noted to be empty of gasoline, despite me filling it at the pick up location in Oregon City with enough gas to drive the approximately 85 miles I drove it. Either someone siphoned gas from the tank overnight in the front parking lot of the drop off location/furniture store, or someone was dishonest about the amount of gas that was left in the tank. I objected to the $58 gasoline fee and Ruther Carlos credited that amount back to my VISA account on Jan. 3, 2020. The owner of the furniture store/drop off location was extremely courteous.Carol E.

Was overcharged -- billed for extra insurance I did not select, as well as billed for two days of rental when I only used it for one. Will be seeking to claw back the over-billed amount. Additionally, the storefront had no one available to work on Sunday, the day I picked it up, resulting in waiting an extra 30 minutes to "get something figured out". The shopkeeper was pleasant, but insisted that u-haul corp sets its own prices and penalties, etc.Farrell H.

When I arrived at the retail location where my reservation was, the guy had no idea I e en had the reservation. He told me his "uhaul guy" wasn't in that day so there was no one to hook up the trailer. He said he would call and have him come in. I waited nearly and hour before the guy called. Then I was told he would t be there for another hour!! I proceeded to drive to a uhaul location to see if they had something for me. They didn't. At this point I'm pretty upset. The sweet girl there, Sarah, offered to drive over with me and hook up the trailer herself. The man working the store (the owner) didn't even know how to check in my reservation, so Sarah did that as well. So where the location had the trailer for me, it took nearly 2 hours PAST my reservation time to be able to drive off. I had already driven 2 hours to get there! Very very disappointed.Jasmine B.
This is not directed toward the U-Haul representative that I spoke with at Chateau, rather, this is directed toward his immediate supervisor (the individual he was speaking to on the phone). Normally when i rent a U-Haul truck the contract includes a pick up location, and a drop off location. In this instance I was not given a drop off location which seemed odd to me. I asked the rep. at the store for a drop off location because that makes it easier on me. The rep. spoke with his manager and the manager refused to give me a location to drop the truck. This comes off as a shady drug deal situation, so in the future I would appreciate it greatly if U-Haul made sure to include both a pick up location and a drop off location.Clinton T.

I had requested 2 months in advance to pick up a 10' truck at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Corvallis 1050 NW 5th St at 9:00am, however I received a call 3 days before that there was no 10' trucks available and that we would have a 15' truck for no extra charge, however they did not inform us of the pick up location change. When we did arrive at the location where the truck was the place was closed, we came back and the owner knew nothing about our rental, we called you and were able to get a truck at this location, oh and by the way it was a 10' truck. But then we had to drive back to the original location to purchase supplies for the move. This is not the first time I have had an issue with haul when picking up a truck. This is the 3rd time in a row that pick up has been a problem in the last3 years. That is why I reserved 2 months in advance. The first instance I had to drive to the coast(1 &1/2 hours) to get a truck instead of Corvallis and the last time I had taken a bus and walked to the pick up location in Hermiston OR after receiving a call that I would not be able to pick up a truck in Pendleton OR. When I finally arrived at the location there was no truck available. They then found me a truck in LaGrande OR(which after taking the bus back to Pendleton I was able to get a friend to take me to LaGrande to pick up a truck after hours, only to find someone else had dropped off a truck in front of my truck and I could not get it out. I call the owner who was wonderful and very helpful, he should be commended on his service, he came down and fixed everything. So as you can see I have not had a great experience with U Haul. I would use someone else if other choices were available to me.Jacqueline H.

Even if it's in the fine print, tell ur customers that you have to pay for gas. For someone who's never rented from u-haul, I assumed the mileage of 98 miles mentioned was what I could drive without extra cost of gas. If I were told I needed to return the truck with the same amount, I would've filled it up myself at a gas station for less than what u-haul charges per gallon. I was very unhappy about this.Zeki S.
