My contract was unable to be printed onsite and as a result I was charged a small amount for items I did not receive or use. The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY KIND and FRIENDLY.

Was overcharged -- billed for extra insurance I did not select, as well as billed for two days of rental when I only used it for one. Will be seeking to claw back the over-billed amount. Additionally, the storefront had no one available to work on Sunday, the day I picked it up, resulting in waiting an extra 30 minutes to "get something figured out". The shopkeeper was pleasant, but insisted that u-haul corp sets its own prices and penalties, etc.

When I arrived at the retail location where my reservation was, the guy had no idea I e en had the reservation. He told me his "uhaul guy" wasn't in that day so there was no one to hook up the trailer. He said he would call and have him come in. I waited nearly and hour before the guy called. Then I was told he would t be there for another hour!! I proceeded to drive to a uhaul location to see if they had something for me. They didn't. At this point I'm pretty upset. The sweet girl there, Sarah, offered to drive over with me and hook up the trailer herself. The man working the store (the owner) didn't even know how to check in my reservation, so Sarah did that as well. So where the location had the trailer for me, it took nearly 2 hours PAST my reservation time to be able to drive off. I had already driven 2 hours to get there! Very very disappointed.

This is not directed toward the U-Haul representative that I spoke with at Chateau, rather, this is directed toward his immediate supervisor (the individual he was speaking to on the phone). Normally when i rent a U-Haul truck the contract includes a pick up location, and a drop off location. In this instance I was not given a drop off location which seemed odd to me. I asked the rep. at the store for a drop off location because that makes it easier on me. The rep. spoke with his manager and the manager refused to give me a location to drop the truck. This comes off as a shady drug deal situation, so in the future I would appreciate it greatly if U-Haul made sure to include both a pick up location and a drop off location.

I had requested 2 months in advance to pick up a 10' truck at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Corvallis 1050 NW 5th St at 9:00am, however I received a call 3 days before that there was no 10' trucks available and that we would have a 15' truck for no extra charge, however they did not inform us of the pick up location change. When we did arrive at the location where the truck was the place was closed, we came back and the owner knew nothing about our rental, we called you and were able to get a truck at this location, oh and by the way it was a 10' truck. But then we had to drive back to the original location to purchase supplies for the move. This is not the first time I have had an issue with haul when picking up a truck. This is the 3rd time in a row that pick up has been a problem in the last3 years. That is why I reserved 2 months in advance. The first instance I had to drive to the coast(1 &1/2 hours) to get a truck instead of Corvallis and the last time I had taken a bus and walked to the pick up location in Hermiston OR after receiving a call that I would not be able to pick up a truck in Pendleton OR. When I finally arrived at the location there was no truck available. They then found me a truck in LaGrande OR(which after taking the bus back to Pendleton I was able to get a friend to take me to LaGrande to pick up a truck after hours, only to find someone else had dropped off a truck in front of my truck and I could not get it out. I call the owner who was wonderful and very helpful, he should be commended on his service, he came down and fixed everything. So as you can see I have not had a great experience with U Haul. I would use someone else if other choices were available to me.

Even if it's in the fine print, tell ur customers that you have to pay for gas. For someone who's never rented from u-haul, I assumed the mileage of 98 miles mentioned was what I could drive without extra cost of gas. If I were told I needed to return the truck with the same amount, I would've filled it up myself at a gas station for less than what u-haul charges per gallon. I was very unhappy about this.

Furniture store in a strip mall. Hard to get a truck and a trailer into. Dropped it off after hours. No issues. This location was not our choice, but requested from U-Haul a couple of days before returning equipment.

The man I spoke to was unhelpful. First he showed us the door to get outside to the trucks, never asked if we had already reserved it (we did), was rude to his other customers right in front of us, had absolutely no idea how to work the website to get my contract and whatnot, had no idea what truck we were actually supposed to use (gave us the key to one truck then as we were trying to turn it around came out and told us that was the in town truck because it was filthy and gave us keys to a different truck), he gave us the wrong dolly that I had purchased for rent ( asked for a furniture dolly and was given an appliance dolly), and to top it all off it took an hour to even leave the parking lot with the truck because of all the issues. We were scheduled to pick it up at 11 am, which he stated we did on the final report or whatever, but we actually didn't leave with it until 12 pm. The uhaul lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and I ended up hanging up on her. It was just a very bad experience all around.

No sign out to even know it is a uhaul location so it was hard to find. People were nice enough once I found the place. I had originally selected to return at the larger uhaul rental & storage location since my storage unit is there, then got a text changing that I had to return to a diff place. A bit of inconvenience.

The only thing I didn't like was this wasn't a U-Haul specific location which would have been nice to know in advance. The U-Haul representative was not there when I dropped off my truck so the furniture store employee took my keys and information on a pad of paper which was odd and not very reassuring. Everything ended up being fine with no extra charges so it ended up being good to go.

when I arrived to have my car put on the dolly one of the employees told me to go read on-line how to hook up and put my car on the dolly myself. then another employee came out and put the car on the rack but the drivers side tire was hanging off the rack. when I mentioned it to the other helper he said it was fine. then the individual who drove it on the rack put the emergency break on. I thought that seemed wrong as well but i second guessed my wanting to correct them by assuming they knew what they were doing. Then i drove down the street with the emergency brake on for about 10 minutes when another driver flag us down and told us that our car was smoking really bad. then when we removed the e-brake and began heading back on the road we got a call from the folks who rented the truck and dolly to us and informed us to please take the e-brake off. i let them know i did and moved on. then we began our long drive and when we reached were about half way through our trip in Montana we had several cars whaling their horns at us so we pulled over to find out that the cars left wheel separated from the dolly just as I feared. this could have been a huge disaster. the drivers side of our fender was damaged from this mishap. it was one of the scariest driving situations i have ever been in.

I actually had a good experience at this location. I was worried after the reading the reviews, but it was the only place who had a truck due to all of the students moving out. It's kinda weird when you walk in since it's a furniture store, but the manager directed to the back to find Nic. Nic got me set up and out the door in 10 minutes. I was able just to drop off the key in their keybox after hours and was charged the correct amount. I was worried after reading the reviews about a $25 cleaning fee, so I swept the truck before I returned it. I was charged any cleaning fees! Overall a good experience and Nic is the man!

We dropped the truck off after hours and the process was terrible. We parked the truck and found out that we needed a phone with WiFi and gps to check the truck in . I then had to open an account to do the whole check in process complete with password. When it asked that I allow gps access and my iPhone GPS would not pick up their address and there was no way to continue. My husband did the same on his phone. Neither phone would work. After over an hour of changing settings, walking around the building in the cold to try to get it to work, we finally plopped the keys in the drop box and left. There was no way we could find to make it work. Then the next day we got a 25.00 cleaning fee charged to our card. Really? I completely swept out the truck to make sure it was clean. We only moved furniture so no real mess anyway. Why this charge? An additional form of income? I feel u-haul has completely blown this service and now is tacking on extra charges for more revenue.

Back alley drop off at a furniture store in a city I was unfamiliar with! Was told in person it be at the u-haul store in that city. Got the address sent via text from u-haul (just a street address, no mention of it being a furniture 1/2 a mile away from the U-haul store. Followed my gps, brings me to a shopping center, goggled u-haul in town and went to that location. There we were told that they can't take it because it has to go to this furniture store (the one we could not find). After driving back and forth up and down these major roads, finally just go into another store and got directions. It was a tiny furniture store, no sign of any u-hauls, and we had to drive it to a back alley for "drop off". And since it had leaked, there was dried mud on the floor. We swept, but without hosing it out there was going to be some tracks. So of course we got the $25 cleaning fee. This was the second time I have used U-Haul. The first time was even worse, the driver for our units abondoned them due to an "emergency". For days we had no idea where in the United States all of our things for. Was delivered days after the "guaranteed" final delivery date. Horrible company, just there for the money. Have a problem, call customer service. When you finally get someons they are at their homes, eating while talking to you. I had one woman ask me to hold, waited 10 mins, comes back on "are you still there?", I responded "yes." And in a stunned voice she said "ohhh, oay just hold on.". 30 mins later I hung up and called to speak to someone else. What a joke! Worst customer you could evef experience, they just say things to make you feel like they did something so they can finish their sandwich. Hate U-haul, never using them again! And I told EVERYONE of my first experience with u-haul, to the point PODS should be paying me for their customers.

The rental agency did not do walk through of the truck with us. And there were no directions on returning the truck (for instance we didn't know we should fold the blankets) Otherwise it was good

The movers said the truck was not clean. The guy at the pick up place wasn't there, so I had to wait about 25 minutes; then they forgot to give me the moving pads so I had to drive back and get them while the 3 movers were "on the clock" waiting.

We were charged double. We had the truck for one day, returned it the same day, but were charged for two days, including two days' worth of insurance. Also, everything happened over the phone with U-Haul, so it may not be the fault of the location.

Change your company culture to care just a little bit about customers (and employees). This was inexcusably bad from start to finish - - my preferred pickup location on the website apparently became unavailable weeks ago, - website allowed me to reserve for a time, 9 a.m., when there was no one there until 10 to provide a key. - online checkin is useless, I had to go through the entire process again when picking up. - lack of testing of new website rollout, which wasted another 20 minutes of my time while the counter guy talked to tech support. - inaccurate gas estimate, resulting in my being double-charged. Altogether an unpleasant experience that I will not repeat.

Was charged twice for a 24-hour rental. Have yet to hear back from U-Haul regarding the matter even after calling and having the phone rep. tell me she was submitting a "customer objection" form that would receive a response within 24-hours. I've also tried emailing and still haven't heard back. Been about three days now without a response from U-Haul. I would not recommend using U-Haul's "Express Check-In" service to anyone looking to rent from U-Haul. What's the point of paying in advance only to be charged again upon picking up a rental truck?

After reserving my pick up location three days prior at the main hub located in Corvallis Oregon, I was contacted by uhaul staff informing me I would have to go to a different location in Corvallis to pick the vehicle up because they did not have drivers to transfer lots. On the day of my pick up, the vehicle was not supplied with the equipment I ordered which required me to go to another uhaul location to pick up equipment I had yet again reserved. Uhaul staff were not helpful and made it seem as though I was the inconvenience in the situation. I will never rely on Uhaul again for my future moves.
