Truck needs a wash from last trip

Daniel OGuy who ran the 9th street location (chateau home furnishings) was a complete moron. Was of absolutely no help and I basically checked myself in despite it being his job to. Was talking to some nut job while helping me, and was also trying to sell his dogshit furniture to me and my business partner. I'm assuming he's getting paid to have his business be a uhaul pickup point and I'd highly recommend yall stop messing with this bozo. I love using uhaul and have had great service up until this experience. Lesson learned.
Charlie PI had a reservation on 2/26/24 for a 10' van from Chateau Home Furnishings. I arrived at approximately 11:05 to pick up the van and did not end up getting access to the key for my reserved van until approximately 11:50. I checked in through my phone and would have appreciated a heads up that there is a ton of information I would have to put into the app before getting my keys. I had checked in and it told me to go to the desk inside to access my keys. The man at the desk says he doesn't know where the keys are and had to call the "uhaul guy" so he could locate them. Thirty or so minutes go by of waiting in this store for the man to answer (he never did) and the guy at the front desk tells me he does have the keys. This was only after he called a new person (who was a woman), who told him to give the keys over. For people who are on a time crunch to move everything in the slotted hours they reserve, it would be beneficial to let them know that it is not as simple as "picking up and dropping of a key".
Jasmine WIt took me 20 minutes to check out the truck. The truck was dirty and had water and used boxes inside. When I came back to get the trailer, the person working told me to hook it up myself, and then had a person who didn't even work there help me. I had to take it to another Uhaul location to make sure the trailer was hooked up safely. I can't believe Uhaul uses that location.

Tommy hThe owner of the store is very nice and I used the U-Haul application to reserve the truck. When I arrived my message said to go in, show the person my screen that I reserved a truck, and then I would get the keys. This was not the case as the owner needed to get a verification calls from the U-Haul office and I waited about 20-30 minutes.
Michael CThe personnel was helpful but he didn't put in the system that he allowed us to take both uhaul trucks to him even though they were different locations. He didnt put it in the system and the other location charged us for the extra day when we turned them in a day early.
Jenna MI have used uhaul many times and have never been charged for gasoline. I used the chart provided to fill tank. I am certain I put correct amount. I'm not going to fight this but it's obvious this drop off location likes to charge extra $$$.

Merrick KWe spent over $1500 on the rental and since the mileage allowance did not include the distance to Dillon (which is where we needed to load) we went over by 7,7 miles. This location charged us $7,7 which seems petty!

Kevin MI drove uhaul 8 miles and my receipt has charge of 21 miles.
Munendra YCustomer service at the counter was friendly, but the truck I rented had a problem with the fuel line, I had to take it straight to a gas station, and ask the attendant to watch to be sure he gas would go into through the gasoline,when he put gas into the truck, it came right out, so I had to take the truck back and get one of the other two trucks they had...they only had three trucks 2-10' & 1- 20' . I had to take the second truck to fuel right away as well, was supposed to be refunded for the gas from the first truck, but never was. If I wasn't in the predicament thrvI was in, I would have gone elsewhere.
Karen WUsed app for drop-off, very easy with no interaction with a person. Was promised a receipt showing the truck was returned, final charges, etc., and have not received that since dropping off the truck 20 hours ago. Recommend anyone dropping off equipment hands the keys to a human.

I had made a reservation about a week ago and had it on my phone and truck was paid for. He insisted on calling uhaul in the meantime another lady came in saying she had reserved the same van. Disaster!

Christine HThe cargo van was muddy inside and smelled strongly of tobacco smoke. The shop owner, while friendly, did not know how to access my online reservation. It took half an hour calling UHaul employees not on site before we got through to anyone who could help.
Grace POlder gentleman just didn't know how to work uhaul computer system. So took awhile of waiting around for him to get a phone call back from employee who helped him.

Crystal FI was very disrespectfully treated by the staff. I reached there on time to pick the vehicle. He made a phone call somewhere to get the "approval." He asked me to wait. I waited for fifteen minutes. Then I asked how long will it take (because I had a tight timeline). His reply was, "don't complain. Ok, don't complain. Don't make a fuss." Asking someone who is causing delay as to how long is it going to take is a fuss??!!!! I have been very disappointed. As a family, we have used U Haul so many times in our various moves but this experience is so humiliating that I'm asking myself "is this the company I want to give business to?" I haven't ever vented about any company on social media but this experience was so terrible that the thought has crossed my mind several times!! U haul should discontinue this franchisee. I hope no one is treated by a u haul person the way I was treated !!
RAJAT PWhile self-picking users might benefit from being able to submit - when asked - their expired ID from a file rather than from the camera, as one may likely not have it. I had to go back home and return later to get personal assistance, which could have been solved easier
Alejandro V1. You all need to figure out the self pickup experience. I was asked for two other peoples identification. How will that simplify my life? Just verify my id and make me liable. 2. At checkout time don't show 4 screens of equipments. Want this? Want that? Just give me my truck and a single page of add on could be ok. Think about it, I am not a UX designer.

This location on 9th Street in Corvallis has the most accommodating staff very polite and helpful, they go out of their way to make your visit and rental needs the best possible. They will work overtime just to make your day and needs as less stressful as they possibly can . Nothing but 5 star service all the way through, clear to the returning of your U-Haul rental equipment. I will never go anywhere else...Brad Neuenschwander. Jefferson Oregon

EZRA WAt first glance the cabin looked clean, however there was some sticky substance on the seats and in the cup holders. The windshield was very dirty but I figured I could clean it with the wipers, there was no fluid in the wiper storage.That was unfortunate but I would expect much more from Uhaul. There was only about 1/3 of a tank of gas upon pickup. That was upsetting because I knew I would need to get gas twice that event.

Alan JIt was confusing walking in as UHaul is located inside of a furniture store. There is no signage as to where to go. There was no one in the store when we walked in so we had to wait for a sales person to come out from the back to tell us "the UHaul" guy will be here soon.

Steve LThe online check in process didnt work well for me but the employee at the store was very quick and helpful in walking me through check in. They offered free cardboard and couch plastic covers which was great. Definitely recommend for moving!
Courtney BThis is the 2nd time I've used UHaul in the past 3 months, and I'm glad I chose this location both times. I had tried calling a nearby location each time, only to be disappointed by the attitude of the person who answered the call. Luke at Chateau is not only pleasant and professional, but also patient and understanding. Luke provided quick and easy services for reserving, picking up, and dropping off the 15' truck I rented. I will certainly return to Chateau the next time I need a truck. Thank you, Luke!!
MARGARET LI received my bill via email and observed a 14 charge that I was billed for that was never explained when I reserved the truck in person nor the day when I picked it up. It was for a safe move charge. Should have been transparent versus after receiving the bill.

JOSEPH ESomehow, the truck I returned on Jan. 3, 2021 to the Uhaul location in Corvallis on 9th Street was noted to be empty of gasoline, despite me filling it at the pick up location in Oregon City with enough gas to drive the approximately 85 miles I drove it. Either someone siphoned gas from the tank overnight in the front parking lot of the drop off location/furniture store, or someone was dishonest about the amount of gas that was left in the tank. I objected to the $58 gasoline fee and Ruther Carlos credited that amount back to my VISA account on Jan. 3, 2020. The owner of the furniture store/drop off location was extremely courteous.

Shellea VMy contract was unable to be printed onsite and as a result I was charged a small amount for items I did not receive or use. The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY KIND and FRIENDLY.
Stephanie GWas overcharged -- billed for extra insurance I did not select, as well as billed for two days of rental when I only used it for one. Will be seeking to claw back the over-billed amount. Additionally, the storefront had no one available to work on Sunday, the day I picked it up, resulting in waiting an extra 30 minutes to "get something figured out". The shopkeeper was pleasant, but insisted that u-haul corp sets its own prices and penalties, etc.
