The worse experience I have ever had. My reservation was for 2:30 pm when I got there which I was on time I noticed there was no van coming to find out the van wasn't returned. I got a call and he said that the people haven't returned it yet and if I could come back once he calls me. So I had to waste more gas drive back home and wait which was a big inconvenience because I was on a tide schedule. He calls and says I can just use the moving truck instead then calls again and states the van will be there by 4 pm. I get there and the Van is in horrible nasty condition with trash in the back and front and pieces of food etc I took photos of. I had to end up cleaning it up first before being able to transport any personal belongings in it. This is unexcetable. I let the guy know at pick up that it was disgusting and that there was a bunch of trash I asked for a discount one because the van wasn't there when I made the reservation which caused alot of issues with my plans and stress and two because it was in disgusting condition. He responded that there can't be discount applied. This is horrible customer service at leased give me a discount for having to deal with all this on top of having to move. Very disappointedVarina H.

It was quite a stressful experience with the truck rental I had this last Sunday 3/6 when I came to the pick-up location at Chevron 887 Broadway - Oviedo, FL at 8am and the truck I booked was not available. I had to wait over an hour for the previous renter to return the truck. The renter was clumsy and had the truck gas tank empty and forgot to bring his wallet to either pay off the rental or to fill up the truck tank. In order to prevent even more delays the Uhaul manager/representative released the truck to me and told me I would receive a $60-dollar credit due to the empty tank that I could use to fill up the one. I ended-up losing one-hour of moving personeel I had hired and when I took the truck to fill up the tank I spent $125 which was more than the $60 dollar credit. At the end of my rental I filled up the tank again in order to be more accurate on my actual gas use which I paid $42 for. At the moment of the truck drop-off I gave a call back to the Uhaul responsible person for the location (321-244-3033) and explain the situation about the the cost different and he told me that he could not reimburse more than $60.00, which for me did not make any sense, since I did what is supposed to be the obvious and more clearer to get exactly my use since I did not get a truck with full tank at the pick-up time. Therefore I filled up the tank before using it and returned back with a full tank. The U Haul location representative/manager told me that he would call me back on Monday (3/7/2022) to get the situation resolved as he was not in town, however, I haven't received any call and have my transaction receipt by email with no correction on the additional amount I spent with the fuel.Sandro R.

The uhaul still had trash in the back from the previous renters. Dirt all in the back almost like black mud. The inside was sticky from spilt drinks or good knows what. I had to stop and buy wipes for the steering wheel. The alignment was off and the thing was shaking so bad while driving. It was the worse uhaul rental ever. I had to move today or I would have canceled but I was in a time crunch. For the price for the whole 6 hours it was a total waste. I ended up cleaning most of it which tapped into my time and I did not get to fully move. Very disappointed. Not what I expectedJoanna P.

I reserved a 10 foot U-haul for 4 am pick up because the booking claimed it was 24 hour pick up, only to find out when I got there to pick it up at 4 am that I had to wait till 6 am for the place to open. I don't blame the location for this at all, but U-haul should not have let me pick a 24 hour pick up at a location that I could only pick up from at certain times. Not only that but U-haul apparently let 5 other people reserve a U-haul at the location I picked up from and the place only had 3, so I had to take someone else's reserved U-haul. Very unorganized and not at all what I was expecting from this company.Allison F.

We were really pleased how easy it was made to pick up the truck and how we were offered to drop off at any uhaul location in my cityJanet G.
After miss placing a keyâ€¦we tried calling road side assistance â€¦. For hours and hours â€¦ we started calling at about 1:00 pmâ€¦ along with local uhaulâ€¦ nobody answered at Road side assistance â€¦ we called a locksmith from the internet.and I. Order to make a new key you need a code .. the plate where the code is normally was missing .. and since nobody at road side assistance answered and the owner of uhaul locally didn't have it â€¦. I put in for road side assistance online â€¦ and they called when I was already in bed going to sleep â€¦ many Hours later â€¦ I finally called your corporate head headquartersâ€¦ and was connected to a manager â€¦ they were able to give me a code â€¦ but my now all of the kids and parents who were helping to move out and to leave â€¦ and I looked online and called and hired last minute movers and had to pay them â€¦ along with locksmith â€¦ if someone had answered the phone when we originally called or if the car was maintained properly and had silver plate with code on it .. or if the dealer had a second set of keys â€¦ or if road side assistance dispatched my request within a reasonable amount of time we wouldn't have had to hire movers .. snd wouldn't have had this extra added stress of 7 hours .. all While moving out my sons best friend and roommates belongings who was just killed in a tragic accident â€¦ it was traumatizing just to walk in the apartmentâ€¦ and this added stress to a level I was worried my husband would have a heart attack. Obviously things happenâ€¦ the keys were misplaced.. our mistake â€¦ but the fact I had to find a corporate employee to helpâ€¦ after so many hours Of not getting anywhere or anyone respondingâ€¦ was a shame .. and unacceptableâ€¦ I would like to be reimbursed for the Extra key and movers ..Michael M.

It's a little odd renting the truck through a convenience store/gas station....in between customers. The clerk handed me the keys and said, here you go. No real direction on which truck was mine and how to figure that out. It was almost like a situation where I could have gotten a sandwich, bag of chips, a coke and let me have a u-haul truck by the way.George D.

Your phone application is abhorrent. Passport, DL, a contact, a second contact, are you fucking kidding me? And I tried! I actually brought my fucking passport to rent a van. Thank God the owner was there and we could just modify the rental. Everything else was smooth. I've never had an issue with U-Haul. It's my default. But your "mobile app" needs work. I'll never use it again. Ever. The van, owner, location all awesome. Be back next week... just NOT with the shitful phone app.Benjamin V.
