Fuel tank should be returned full to ensure customer only pays for the fuel used. I wasted about $100 on gas that I will never use, which is my own fault but could be negated by requiring the tank to be full in return

I cannot reccommend this location for rental as it is impossible to get a hold of anyone by phone. The message says to leave a message but the mailbox is full. I had to go in person to rent a vehicle and when I needed to call them to see if I could extend my rental, I once again was unable to get through despite calling several times. I ended up calling a central number to talk to them and although they did allow an extension, they were rude about it and I felt that they didn't value my business.

The guy has no idea about the rental equipment, totally unprofessional and he is on phone talking to to someone, he showed me wrong chain and I have to phone customer service to send someone to install the transport trailer. I have visited so many u haul centre, and he doesn't know how to treat the customer or doesn't have a clue about how to install it.

Arrived on April 2 to the U-Haul dealer only to find out the equipment I ordered was not available. In find this out 1 hour before the move was to begin. I was offered a smaller truck but that turned out to be inadequate. Causing all kinds to issues during the move. In also pre-ordered moving pads that were told the dealer had no stock. The entire experience was aweful

I would have preferred to use the Fort Saskatchewan location, that is where I live, but they don't seem to have any thing i need and they are not open on Sundays and the person at the location where I did rent it from was very helpful, they should be the ones doing the Fort Saskatchewan Uhaul.

Cumbersome web process duplicating what was done or could have been done at time of reservation. Arriving to find the vehicle with 1/8 tank of gas is offensive and inconvenient.

when provided the UHAUL we were told the gas tank was 1/4 full, but as soon as we left the lot there was only 1/8 of a tank. I paid $30 to gas up on the way to our location in order to not run out of gas (which made it actually 1/4 full), then returned the vehicle 1/8 full like we got it. then UHAUL charged us another 30 some dollars for gas. I was told customer service would be contacting me, yet its been four days and i have not heard anything.

The cab was full of glass every where , in the seats , in the handles , on the floor. Every where , the glass was there when we picked it up . Almost cut my hands many times . But the back was very clean. When we picked up we showed the guy all the glass inside the cab so he knew.

The unit rented was not ready. Previous renters had left A Fridge and a mattress in the back that needed to be removed. The truck had the service engine light on from the minute it was started. Likely should not have taken it. The staff did their best but they were short staffed. Location of the U-Haul lacked a visible sign for fi Disappointed.

it was in the flying j truck stop back by the washrooms with a guy at a podium playing on his phone. no signs saying uhaul. and he seemed like he didn't much care, saying '' oh the truck is parked back there somewhere - i think ''. very poor location.

The time spent with the clerk was ridicules, we were waiting for reservation to be processed ( identification & personal info to be entered ), just over 20 minutes. My husband finally came in and asked me if I was buying a new car. We rented 12 blanket, which totalled $20 , but you would think it was for far more pieces than that. I'm sorry, but the clerk was terribly slow. We won't go to that location again.

I have never used u-haul and wouldn't consider it again. I did initially check the reviews on-line and found all of them to be "poor" but due to the sudden passing of my son I and having to clear the contents from his storage locker, this was an urgent matter. I would have searched around for a more affordable and reliable company, otherwise. I had a reservation approximately 2 hrs prior to picking up the vehicle so this would have given them ample time to clear the snow off the vehicle for no other reason than presentation and safety (although customer service would have been a good reason) but I did it myself. Next, the guy proceeded to kick the tires to show that there was air in them...I don't know about your toes but mine certainly can not determine psi in a tire. I entered the vehicle and commented how filthy the interior was (thick layer of dust on the dash and gauges as well as dried mud on the floor) . He didn't respond, I said the tire indicator light was on he said it would go off when the tires warmed up. I proceeded to leave because this trip was time sensitive based on the closing hours of the storage unit. The final blow with this experience was when we were finally on the highway and the snow and road dust layered the windshield, I turned on the wipers and to my disbelief there was NO washer fluid to clean the windshield with...such a basic fluid in a vehicle...another safety issue. This took us approximately 1/2 hr of precious time as well as additional kilometers to turn off the highway and look for a service station to purchase windshield washer fluid. Last, based on the Covid pandemic perhaps some disinfecting wipes for the steering wheel would have been a good customer service touch. The only pleasant experience my friend and I had in this situation was putting the key in the drop box. U-Haul commercials certainly don't portray the quality of your service of vehicles....absolutely will not rent from this company again...for any reason...urgent or not.

Odometer is faulty or rigged. It recorded 13 miles, over a 2-stop route that we verified both with another vehicle and google maps to be 15,1km or 9,38 miles. At one point, your equipment clicked 3 miles off within about a 250 meter stretch. Notified attendant who said "well, maybe we have to report a maintenance issue". But charged full (incorrect) amount anyway, and would not reduce. For our small trip, the mileage charges did not amount to a great deal, but we were overcharged 40 %. For any customer that is going any distance, you are fraudulently overbilling an extra 40 % on mileage charges.

Tail gate on the truck I rented would not work. Return the unusable vehicle within an hour and swapped for a small moving van which had an overhead door that was very difficult to open and close, and the locking latch required great force to open and close.

I reserved a pick up truck (I.e. I was expected) and I was left to brush off 8” of snow with my hands. Without winter tires or grit, that ruck wasn't going anywhere without two people to push it out. Alone, I went back inside. Although the attendant gave me a cube van at the same price, I missed an appointment as a result of the delay. The experience was not satisfactory.

Truck was giving us hard time when we were going over 60 km. We called to ask if truck have the problem but the lady who answered the phone was very rude. She was saying we can't help you if it is not working not their problem and have to bring it to the location where you picked it up. We were not happy at all and drove the truck under speed to the location. We didn't even move our all the furniture. She transferred the call to someone else and she was ver rude too. So we are not happy at all

Inform the customer if they're not getting all the equipment that they requested for!!! Whoever was the representative on Saturday November 20th did not tell me I was not getting a dolly. I had assumed it was already in the uhaul. Left and saw that it wasn't included. Went back for the dolly to only be told there and then that I'm not getting a dolly!! That's not proper customer service. I reached out to the email from my receipt about any questions and concerns and they disregarded that part of my email. Never had I been so disappointed in uhaul.

The unit was covered with ice and snow from the snowfall two days prior the attendant handed me the keys told me to warm it up in the ice would melt there was no brush or scraper he said they don't supply them an hour after I got the unit I slipped on the sideboard running board and broke three ribs I've talk to my attorney the very least you can do is waive my fee not appropriate sending people with unsafe trucks Trent right

Cab smelled like old sweat and there are papers and food pieces from previous renters. I was quoted one price then charged over $150 more than I agreed to. Nothing but theives. Maybe train your people better.

Maintaining a full tank vehicle would be more fair to us renters as it is easier to estimate the refill level of the unit before it is returned. The unit I rented was 3/4 full and I ended up filling it up more than I was supposed to, leaving me feeling short-changed.

The Rental Van should be provided full of gas. It is very inconvenient to immediately need to fill the tank and also have to play the game of trying to return it with the same amount of gas. I mistakenly over filled $100 too much, will like rent from budget in the future.

I'll follow up if my concern can not be addressed this way. I made my booking well ina dvance for a 26 ' Truck to be picked up at 11620A 120 St in Edmonton. The morning of the rental I was contacted and informed I'd have to pick up/return my truck at 50 Pembina Rd in Sherwood Park. Those locations are 17 km apart. I should not be charged the additional 34 km I had to drive to pick up and drop off the truck. I'd like a refund. $1,59 x 34=$54

The young man who checked me in for my rental was very helpful and pleasant. The rental location is hard to find as it is inside another business with no signage for the rental location on the exterior of the building. Overall it was a good rental experience. Merci.

It's a truck stop. Nothing fancy. But the truck was clean and ran perfectly. Lots of room and they included 2 dollies that I didn't expect or pay for. Came in handy. Overall it was good.

The address(directions) is wrong on goggle maps. Tell you to turn the wrong way. More day deals would be nice on all vehicles

Do not bring the truck back without putting some gas in. My distance travelled was about 65 km and the uhaul company charged a $30 fee on top of $117 for gas. This is blatant robbery. The $40 cost per day for the truck was fine but the gas charge on top of the $0,79/km is awful. I will not use uhaul again

When I dropped off the vehicle, I was told I could have done a one-way trip. I picked it up and dropped it off in Sherwood Park as a vehicle was not available in Fort Sask when I ordered it. I moved within Fort Sask and would have been nice to know I could have dropped it off at the UHaul in Fort Sask rather than driving it back to Sherwood Park. I feel the agent should have caught that being I was looking for a truck in Fort Sask in the first place.
