Had to travel 30 min to get a truck that I already had reserved close by, however, they did give me a price break to which I'm grateful. The truck had issues from the pickup. Bc I'm not familiar with large trucks, I just assumed it's the way these trucks are. My guy who drove for me was concerned and said the engine light was on for 8 hours of the trip.

Had a reservation they took both people Without. A Rez first. Was charged For two Dollies. Never got any. Lots Of Details missed.
SHANNON MDrop off occurred before office opened. Key box provided. Plenty of parking space. As office was closed, questions two and three should be answered: "not relevant"--- I could have answered "yes" on three, but there were no personnel there, so I'm technically correct but unfairly so to your purposes. Good location. No complaints.

CHARLES SWe used the phone app to pick up the truck. When we arrived, it wouldn't let us "find location" during the steps. We had to switch browsers and start over. By the time we finished, it was 8:30, and the desk person came to unlock the door. We entered to complete the process, but the app kept looping, instructing us to wait for processing. The experience was stressful, relying solely on the phone without staff assistance. I wouldn't recommend anyone to pick up a truck without staff present. Our movers were sitting at our house for an additional 45 minutes because we didn't show up with the moving truck on time.

KAREN LCompass U-Haul did a great job of helping us after Midgard took our contract even though they knew they would not have the equipment. They never even bothered to tell me that we would have to go to another location for our truck. DON'T WASTE your time with Midgard. Go directly to Compass. They will take good care of you.

ANTHONY ACompass U-Haul has been my go to location for years. A couple of weeks ago I had to use another local location to rent a truck and it was a miserable experience! Yesterday I went back to Compass and it was a quick process, no more than 10 minutes from the time I walked in, to the time I was driving off the lot. I'll stick with this location from now on.

STEVEN HI was so happy to find that this storage has a live person inside. Before that I had an issue with Midgard storage because they don't have a live person there (only the virtual assistant), I had to spend about 2 hours of waiting and being on the phone with Uhaul before they could transfer me to Compass Self Storage. The issue was stupidly simple - the person who had the truck I reserved the night before, dropped it late and left the keys in the drop off box, but there was no live person who could take it out of the drop box and put it in another box where I could access it. Next time I will avoid Midgard for sure, Compass Self storage has a live person and if I reserved it there in the first place, I would not have to waste 2 hours on the phone.

Kiara MThis was the first of FOUR U-Haul locations I dealt with this weekend. My original reservation was for a truck at a location about 1 mile from my house. Later, I received a text saying my pickup location was in a different city! I estimated that I would return the truck in 4 hours, BASED ON THE PREMISE THAT I WAS PICKING IT UP IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. So now, my pickup location is costing me 30 minutes, each way for a total of 1 hour off my estimated time of return. I wasn't finished using the truck. I thought I had another hour! So then I had to rent another truck to finish the job. Well, the next available truck was close to home but not for another 3 hours. By then my helpers were no longer available. So I was on my own but hopeful I could get another trip in before 9pm, when my storage facility closes. I was 5 minutes away from my new pickup location when I was told my reserved truck had been stolen! Next available truck was also in another town. I had exactly 15 minutes to get there before they closed. They did not have any record of my reservation but gave me a truck anyway. They were very nice. They stayed late to help me out. By then I only had time to make 1 trip to storage before they closed. I still had stuff in my apartment. I ended up SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR of my apartment so I could get out of there before the apartment manager came in the next day. I did not have time to arrange my furntiture, etc in my storage unit and had to rent ANOTHER UNIT, just so I could be done moving in time to go back the apartment for "final expection." All of this cost me money I was not prepared to pay. Bottom line, it cost me more money to rent a truck than it would have cost to hire movers and do it for me. Isn't that the point? Isn't that why U-Haul exists? I don't mind doing the work myself but when it costs me more than to NOT do the work myself, there is no value-add. It was a loss of money and time. I want to know what you're going to do about this. Please have Customer Service call me Monday between 2-6pm. 703-401-9147 Joe
Joseph BKnowingly let me rent a 20ft truck with a broken sliding door. Loaded my whole house from top to bottom front to rear of that truck and the slide door was broken. Would not close. I had to unload the whole truck and take it back. The jerk at the store called his boss and said " yah the door broke it's not working again". These jerks rented me a truck that was knowingly broken!!!! Uhaul should pull their trucks from this 3rd party location!!!

jeff bMake sure Google maps takes customers to the correct address. Google Maps took us to the wrong address and we just happened to see a U-Haul truck across the street and behind the gas station on the corner. Then we sat at the back gate for several minutes trying to figure out how to get onto the compound only to discover the entrance was on a different road. There was no parking available for our vehicle so we parked behind a U-Haul van, which then couldn't get out because we were behind it. We originally reserved our U-Haul truck at a different location for its close locale to our house but it got moved to the Compass Self Storage facility, which also did not make us happy.
