I used the smartphone app to rent a van and everything went very smoothly. Only one annoying thing was that the driver's window was not sealed properly and was quite loud on the highway. Other than that, I could not have asked for a better experience.Louise H.

1. The space in fro t of store is very congested and it's difficult to park and remove trucks from parking slots with very little space to backup the truck. 2. Truck did not have a reverse camera. All the earlier trucks I had hired had it. It really helps, as you do not have mirror in center.AMEY J.

They charge me $20 usd for the "overnight" service because I drop the vehicle after hours!!!??? No advance notice even that I mentioned that to the person on the counter. Seems excesive when I used the van around 4 hrs. This charge basically was equal to rent itself.Jose P.

Overall good experience. We really appreciated the call the day before to instruct us on how to download the app and check in since we were checking in and dropping off outside of office hours. Without that call we would not have known what to do. The Customer Verification portion of the process was really frustrating. It would not let me use the same phone number for the alternate contact since they asked for the contact in the upfront - but that was my only contact. And then we finally provided another contact but their phone automatically screens unknown numbers so they didn't get the verification call. It was really stressful and having to sit there for 10 minutes trying to chat with someone or find some other random person I know to vouch for me was not great. The truck had leftover chips in the door and some random cardboard in the cab but other than that it was well maintained.Tiffany C.

I reserved a Van for 16 days. I did the reservation on beginning of August, 4weeks before my moving day. I received confirmation for my reservation as well. But, I was called later just 5 days before my moving date and I was told that the vehicle will not be given to me for 16 day. U-Haul scheduling team had to give this information much sooner. probably in the first couple days after my reservation. I had a very bad experience due to this last minute change because of U-hual. I had to spend more money and more time and do all these in the last few days before moving. I was told by the scheduling center that a $50 credit will be charged to my credit card for this inconvenience. But, I can't see anything in my credit card as well. Very dissatisfied by all of these and I won't recommend U-haul to any of my relatives and friends, I will avoid using u-haul again for any serious moving.Aidin D.

The app to return the vehicle after hours did not work properly. The problem was not on our end. When we called for help, we were on hold for half an hour and never got an answer. While the problem was resolved satisfactorily, the mess leading up to it was a major hassle.ENID W.
Need to fix the Uhaul mobile app and customer service wait time. I was unable to complete my Uhaul return process through the app and the proceeded to call the Uhaul customer service line. The U-Haul app and website software didn't work to let me enter a vehicle return. My rental was not populated in the system when I looked for it. The system just showed that I had no rentals. I was told over the phone by someone not at the pickup location that I could pick up the vehicle via the website (without the mobile app). Then, at the location I was told I needed the app. I ended doing an in-person pickup so I still don't know what is required to pick up or return a vehicle outside business hours. The hours given over the phone were also different than the actual hours of the pickup location. Organization improvement is needed.Andrew E.
The rental did not go smoothly. I requested a furniture dolly, but there wasn't one in the truck when I picked it up. I had a hard time moving up my rental time, and I had a hard time extending the rental time by 1 hour. It didn't appear I could do any of that through the UHaul app. The web site showed that I could rent the 15' truck from Michigan Storage Centers, but a UHaul rep had to call me to because that location didn't have a 15' truck. (Compass did, so that worked out.) When my reservation was complete, it looks like I was charged for 2 days, and for 2 Utility dollys (I only reserved 1). One of your call center people was able to help me with that. Just not a very smooth reservation.John C.
When I called to rent the u-haul I requested a "full" size truck and when I picked up the u-haul it was a small cube truck. Since I paid movers already I went ahead and rented the truck because it was the only one they had left and we already tried two other u-haul stores that were closer to my home with no luck. Now i have to pay movers to finish the job when i get a bigger truck. Thats my only issue. other wise the truck i did use looked like new and drove smoothly.JESSICA CAROL H.

I was pulled over in Livonia at 1am by the police for not using my right turn signal when I had used it but the truck's signal was not working. I happen to be black and getting pulled over in Livonia at 1 am felt like a death sentence. They called for backup and everything. It was terrifying. When I turned the truck back in I told the woman inside what happened so that it could be fixed before the next person and she said that the blinker had been malfunctioning for more than a month and Uhaul doesn't believe it is a safety hazard. Ummmm...will it take someone getting killed for no reason by the cops for Uhaul to take their blinkers seriously? Really upset about this. This needs to be addressed before someone gets hurt.Autumn H.
