Dropped off truck a day early, under mileage, and with more gas then I started. Took the key in and told the gentleman I was here to drop my truck, he said "just leave the key on the desk" I asked if he would check the truck for mileage and gas to which he responded "no your fine". Then I get an e-mail that he charged me for a couple gallons of gas even though I had replaced more gas then I was supposed to. They shouldn't be a representative for U-Haul.

this is the second truck we rented that needed work in less than a month. the first one the trailer hook up for the lights didnt work so that put us 3 hours behind schedule cause the place ( armory shell towing) out of virginia mn did make sure they worked before they sent the truck out. and this truck we rented tuesday may 7th needed an oil change and had greasy hand prints on the hood and somethind sticky on the inside of the wind shield. I thought when the trucks got to their drop off points they are supposed to be serviced.the truck number we just rented (TM 2906 R) needs a complete overhaul.

The Hibbing staff were very helpful. They were very kind and took the trailer off our vehicle. I would recommend this uhaul location to anyone. After that long trip this staff made things uncomplicated and fast. Thank you!

This particular trailer was rather old looking and could use some upgrades, but it was perfectly functional.

In this situation, the staff at Dave's U-Haul were so incredibly helpful, I can't think of much more that they could have done. I arrived with a truck, intending to rent a trailer, and Todd very kindly helped with the whole thing; getting the trailer hooked up to my truck, chains properly attached...but the trailer lights didn't work. After some very thorough testing, it was concluded that the fault was in the truck's wiring. I had to switch my plans and rent a truck then. They obliged cheerfully and I was able to meet my deadline for work.

The local location is one I have used for years, the proprietors are dear people who I respect and enjoy; they practice good business and are trustworthy. I plan to keep going to them for my transportation needs, both personal and business. However the company, UHaul at the corporate level, should certainly prohibit tobacco smoking in the cabs of their vehicles. There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the cab of the truck I was assigned. If the company disallowed smoking in the cabs, it would be a better experience. In future I will probably first check out the truck myself before accepting it for my use. This is the first time I have had any issues with a UHaul truck and it wasn't the local dealer's fault; the truck was from another state far away. When I expressed my unhappiness the local dealer was sympathetic and said he wished the UHaul company would put "no smoking" stickers in the cab. So (again) I have only praise for the local dealer; but corporate UHaul needs to accept that most people don't smoke, and smoke causes issues for many of us non-smokers.

While travelling it started to rain. The windshield wipers were shot and the metal was rubbing on the windshield. We stopped and purchased new wipers.

5 minutes after making my reservation at the local center. Corporate cancelled my reservation. They left me a voicemail. The large truck I requested was not available. I took a smaller one anyway. I had not even left the lot and some lady cancels my reservation. Corporate Office in MSP was the Problem!

I was able to pick up the truck with minimal problems. It was not the original site that I requested so I had to travel 30 miles to pick up the truck. I was satisfied as those miles were not added to my bill. Also, they were not prepared for me and things were a bit unorganized. There was excellent support through u-haul via phone contacts, however.

we had a full day of moving and ended up having to do an after hours return(11pm). I wish there a street light, or something to mark where this location was. Very dark and behind trees off the Frontage road that runs along side hwy 169 just west of Hibbing.

This is not the fault of this drop-off place, which was a back-up. We went to the location listed at all our paperwork, well within the appointed time, and found the gate padlocked. We called the number listed on our paperwork as the check-in place. They told us we would need to go to a different location to leave the truck. Only problem-- we had just pulled our 26' truck onto this driveway, and backing it out onto a busy highway was going to be dangerous. Tough luck, was the answer. No one else was allowed to drive the truck for us, and if we left it there, it would be towed, and we would have to pay for it. So even though we'd done everything the rental agreement said, we still had a harrowing experience backing this giant truck out onto the highway, then had to drive the truck to a different return facility, wasting time that we had planned to spend unpacking our new home. In general, a very frustrating and disappointing experience from U-Haul, and one that put our safety in jeopardy as well.

The older gentleman who was getting my Uhaul had very little knowledge of what to do. He couldn't findh my order, didn't know how to use the computer and wanted me to see if I could figure it out for him. The owner (or whoever was in charge of Uhaul's wasn't there) so he had to call the company. The phone was handed back and forth several times between me and the employer. The process took about 45 minutes. I asked the lady for a discount because of the hassle and never got one.

Dave is very easy to deal with. He listened to our concerns about not having enough time to load and unload as we are an older couple and move a lot slower than the jet set. He offered us another extra day on top of the the extra day already given by the National company. (National was especially accommodating giving us an extra 40 miles so we could deliver furniture to different places once we got to our destination). We needed every minute that extra time and extra mileage.
