Reserved vehicle at storage zone in victorville. When I arrived there was no vehicle for me. I was told since we don't have a vehicle for you there will be a refund of $50 due to the vehicle guarantee policy. I called tge number given an was told I won't get the refund and then hung up. Once I arrived to pick up the vehicle that was 20 from the original location I had to resubmit all information over which took 20 minute to get approved once approved I was given the wrong lock combination. All while having mover waiting for me getting paid for doing nothing because I had a 1 1/2 hour delay to uhaulIsrael M.

Where do I begin.... I tried to make a reservation online and was unable to. So I made a phone call and placed a reservation. Was set to pick up a 20 foot truck and shortly after I was notified to pick up the truck from a different location. Couple of days later I was notified to pickup the truck from a different location. I confirmed the reservation and went to the address I was given. Which ended up being a post office. I called customer service and the woman insisted I look inside the post office for a uhaul..... anyways, she gave me the name and phone number to the business where my truck is at. The name of the business was different. But I ended up finding my reserved 20 foot truck. The woman behind the counter lied to my face and actually rented out my reserved truck to a different gentleman and insisted it was his reservation. Called customer service again and had to go back to the original pickup destination for an even bigger truck. Although I received a smal discount. The truck was rickety and bouncy and shook my belongings and broke items.... so now I have to drop it off... okay, so I call customer service and they give me the address to the place I'm supposed to deliver the truck to.... it was a parking lot. An empty parking lot. I call the place I picked the truck up and the man was able to set me up with an actual place of business. Nonetheless, UHAUL customer service is beyond bogus and made my life extremely difficult. The only big help was the location off of yucca in Hesperia. The trucks suck. The service sucks. All of the â€œneighborhood dealersâ€ don't even exist and the address and phone numbers are wrong. Nobody seems to give a beaver dam. I wasted time and gas and overall my patience. Why is it so difficult...?MICHAEL C.
This review is based on the place I picked up the truck from and not Desert Automotive. My reservation was split, why don't I see a review on the place I picked up the truck from? That was the place that really sucked. Desert Automotive, where I picked up the trailer, was fine. The truck was located at a mini mart in San Bernadino and it was my worst uhaul experience EVER. The guy spoke lousy English and I could hardly understand him. Even after checking in the night before, and paying for the truck and trailer, he tried to charge me again. The windshield of the truck was completely caked with bugs, the console of the truck was covered in sticky stuff, like someone had spilled a soda all over it. The cover of the seatbelt latch was missing and there was garbage on the floor in the cab of the truck and in the back of the truck. After I got there to pick the truck up, he kept pushing me aside to help other customers who came in for cigarettes and other items. I checked in the night before and that was a waste of energy because I spent about 45 minutes trying to get the truck. My opinion, MINI MARTS SHOULD NOT BE A PLACE TO GET A UHAUL TRUCK OR ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT!!!! As a uhaul customer, I was not a priority to the mini mart guy. If I ever use uhaul again, I will make sure that the equipment I get is not at a mini mart. I will use Budget instead.Douglas S.

I ordered a dolly and when I went to get the truck it didn't have a dolly in it and they charged me, I call a representative since the location was closed and she had me to to another location to pick up a dolly and they also charged me, I asked the representative is I can get a credit since I had to go all the way to Ontario from Hesperia and she said she couldn't do anything. I was already on a tight schedule so this was a big inconvenienceTamara C.

Very disorganized uhaul staff at this location. I have rented many uhauls for moving, 5x in 5 years, and this was my worst experience. They were unable to print all of my paperwork. It took over an hour to enter information into the system. Marty could use more training on the computer program. They did not have the dolley I ordered at this location. I was extremely disappointed in this location. The trailer, however, was great for moving and easy to maneuver. I will not be recommending this location or using it for future rentals.Tracielea N.

I got my the 26" uhaul for Fri 03/29/2019 until 04/01/2019 I asked the guy on the phone if we could rent it Friday but pick it up sat morning and he said it was fine however when i woke up that morning he called me to ask if i had returned it I Informed him that I had not picked it up yet he stated you have it from friday until 4am Sat I hen informed him that wasn't correct he then stated that it wasn't his fault and that i need to bring back the key mean while my who family was getting ready to start moving being super stressed with the move already I was crying on the phone and this man had not a care in the world he just came saying bring back my truck also good luck getting it if you refuse I was shocked by his lack of caring I could have lived with the fact that someone messed up it happens let me help you find a uhaul but no he didn't care I will NEVER GO BACK THERE EVER! thinking about it again makes me feel like crying.desiree R.

And when I called about returning my truck, I said I was going to do the online return the guy told me it didn't exist and hung up on me. The guy looked like he was barely awake. I paid ahead of time so that I could be in and out of there when they opened. Took 30 minutes to get my truck. Contract said a quarter tank was left and the truck was on empty. The guy said he would change in computer and he didn't because when I dropped the truck off in Tucson it said a quarter tank still. Terrible service. If I were U haul I would get out of this location immediately.Christopher S.

I'm extremely unhappy, I spent well over a hour picking up the truck and car trailer I had reserved. They were nice enough to get the car trailer from another location but for some reason both rentals were on separate bills and I feel I have been overcharged for the rentals. Maybe even charged twice for the car trailer. Needless to say I will go elsewhere the next time I need a rental ie: budget or PenskeCathy S.

Garrett went beyond the call of duty to make sure the equipment was safe for travel. The tires on the auto hauler were bald and unsafe for long distance. I was told it would be $40 for an extra day but I unfortunately returned the truck an hour after the supposed return time and so they charged me another extra $40 for an additional day. I tried explaining that I wasnt made aware of the exact return time to return the trailer and that traffic was bad getting there plus i didn't have a job currently because I was doing full time bible studies and going into full time ministry but they didnt care. I was also charged some additional fee so ultimately, for one extra day, I ended up having to pay $133+. Stay away from U-Haul as they are an uncaring, money-hungry cheat of a company that will try to gouge as much money as they can out of their customers. Their motto is that their profit margin come first and customer service and satisfaction comes second.Anthony L.
