Dave BurwellNot sure if trailer was checked over cause one tire was completely bald and all four tires were all very low of tire pressure . The next morning when I went to leave one tire was flat and had to be repaired.
Darren TonnThis location asked me to pick up my trailer earlier than my booking and I got charged an extra day because of it. I ended up getting a refund for the extra but took me 2 hours on the phone being on hold and 2 different departments to get it sorted out. Waste of my time for something that should have never happened. Honestly if there was a different rental company I would never use uhaul again. I seem to have trouble with almost every rental.

CHAD GREENTo start with, we were told we had to go get a truck from Portage La Prarie because there were no trucks available in Winnipeg. We had booked full month in advance to prevent this sort of issue. Then, the drivers side mirror was not attached when we picked up the truck. This was a major issue that required immediate fixing. We brought the truck into Winnipeg U-hall for the repair but it slowed down our loading by 3 hours not to mention the unsafe driving conditions. We then had an issue with the front wheels tilted in that slowed us down by 4 hours on moving day. By the end of the weekend, U-hall inconvenienced us 10 hours of our time and put us in unsafe driving conditions.

Christine CrabbeI am not happy with the billing process. The rental outlet made me sign another agreement that was different than what I signed up using the wpg office. Uhaul needs to make it more transparent. Not cool.
Brett WarehamI booked a 6x12 Cargo trailer on July 6 and should pick up on Aug 11 and pick up location near me in the same city. When on Aug. 9, I got called that I need to pick up in a different city which I had to drive 150km to get it and drove back. When I was picking up, the service guy had left. Trailer doesn't have a hydraulic lifter. Very bad experience
tassadar liInside of the Truck was not cleaned and there was odd smell like a dog smell in cab, but the person who has arranged a truck for me was so friendly.
Soungok KangThis is the second time renting a car hauler (different location) and the second time it wasn't available when I went to pick it up. In this case, even after Uhaul called me and we worked out a pick-up day and time a few days earlier. I realise coordinating a fleet can be difficult... but I never did receive the call from the local dealer 24hrs prior to pick-up, that the uhaul customer service rep said would happen. The local rep was surprised when I showed up for the rental... as if he wasn't expecting me. I had moved the original booking date up one day...and maybe this created the second problem. (but not the first problem of the car dolly not being available in my city).

Kyle BellI had to drive an hour and a half from Winnipeg to Portage la Prairie just to pick the truck up. Cost me more than $60 to drive it back, empty so I could load it. Customer who picked it up after me also had to drive from Winnipeg to Portage la Prairie to pick it up. No compensation for my time and money being a courier for your equipment. Truck was crap, no air conditioning, belts were squeeling. Passenger front suspension was sagged. Window crank was missing the knob. Customer service rep was polite, but needs to look at a map when assigning trucks to customers.
Nicholas BuschWe had a tire blow on the uhaul cause the inside tire was low on air and that means it wasn't checked before we had it. The uhaul was also dirty.

Reg FroeseDue to some circumstances I was late to pick up rental trailer, so just because of it I had to do so many procedures online again. I think it's not matter when costumer pick up his already booked rental vehicle.
Milap PatelI was phoned by u haul and told to change and drop off at this location because it was open and the other location in town was closed. Yet I got there and out was closed too. Feels like poor communication happened. Then I followed the guide to drop off myself and it wanted me to disconnect all chains on the trailer, but they were tightened on with a wrench and I had no tools in order to open the lock link and remove the chains, and there's no one around to talk with for help so I did everything else I could but had to leave the chains hooked on.

Ed GrayI went to the pick up location 2 days ahead to order a larger closed trailer. I was told the next day that a trailer was available about 2-3 hours farther away. I did not have time to do this. I was told there was a smaller one available at Diamond D. When I arrived for pick up there were only open trailers. I was moving furniture and it was raining. I explained to Diamond D that I was moving furniture and needed the cargo trailer. I was very disappointed at not receiving what I ordered and to be told nothing else to be done on the day of pick up and not when I ordered. If your trailers are not available, this should be stated right away. You should not ask clients to add 5-6 hours to a busy day. Telephone personnel could be more service oriented and less rude.

Darcey HillComputer program for setting up rental agreement did not seem to be user friendly. Worker had extreme difficulty filling in info. It needs improvements. Took well over half an hr to process, yet I had prebooked by phone, and had received a phone call the day before rental as a reminder of the booking. Van was up to date with lots of power. Cab and inside van clean. Windshield had not been cleaned on outside.

I called when I had trouble with a tire in the US and couldn't get through to Uhaul roadside assistance, and he gave me other numbers to call, and asked me to call him back if I was unable to resolve my problem. I would highly recommend him, he went above and beyond the call of duty!!!

shellly motyerThis location has other business associated with it which may effect customer service in some small ways. On the return of the rental, I was asked for a photo of the mileage and fuel gauge. I felt it should be their responsibility to check this, as well as look the equipment over while I waited to determine for his-self if the truck was indeed clean and swept out as required. The fact that I had to return to the truck for that photo put me off slightly.

Amber rogersI was told there we no trailers in the size i requested 3 weeks earlier in all of winnipeg (3-4 locations). I was told this 3 days before my pickup time, and was told I would have to travel an hour west to portage la praire (this location) to pick up. I was not offered a discount or anything. If you know that there is no trailers my size that early, YOU need to bring it to a location for the customer, not have me drive 2 hours round trip to get a trailer that I was about to take on a 3 day trip already. That was added gas and strain on my car that I didn't need. The attendent there at first refused to help me attach the trailer, because he " couldn't leave the office" since he was the only one there. Thats fine, but if I had hurt my back or anything trying to get that trailer onto my hitch alone, you'd bet you'd have a lawsuit coming your way. On top of all this, the person running this location had no idea how to enter in my information (that somehow got lost even though I entered it in online before hand) and forgot to give me back my credit card after i finally got my trailer on the hitch. Extremely negative experience, in what should have been a 10-15 minute pick-up, put me behind on my move over an hour and a half.
