Maybe it’s just because I haven’t used a U-Haul before but I thought the 24/7 checkout process was weird to not have a person or clear location to leave the trailer in. The area of town wasn’t great either so even though we followed instructions it seemed dicey to leave the equipment there

MARK VTHEY forgot to give me my furniture dolly and blankets, so I had to turn around and go back! Waste my time! Then I ordered six blankets, but only got four! THEN... I was threatened with a $45 charge if the blankets weren't folded! (NEVER HAD ANY LOCATION ASK FOR SUCH A RIDICULOUS REQUEST BEFORE!!!) I rent U-Haul trailers all the time. (Over 10 times in 2024 alone.) I've never had such a horrible experience... EVER!!! I will never come back to this location and I will tell every single person that asks to never come here. They should lose their franchise!

MICHAEL MI had questions about the bill and more detail on the charges since they were different from what I saw when making the online reservation. The gentlemen was unable to answer and said another type of insurance he did not know. Then when i received the truck it only had a 1/4 tank of gas. There were at least 20-40 other vehicles on the lot. I feel i maybe understand the product you are selling and be more considerate of your clients and give them at least half a tank of gas.
DAVID WPut the equipment I ordered and paid for in the truck. Make sure your dispatch then sends me to a second location that has the equipment I ordered. Then make sure the appliance dolly actually looks like the one I ordered and paid for. Do better.

CARLOS CCalled the facility to inform them that I would be dropping the truck off Early on Friday night after hours and to inform her of the AC issue as was directed by the pick up location. She told me that I needed a four digit code to be able drop off after hours and kept insisting that I did and I needed to contact customer service. She was of zero assistance. Disappointed with customer service at this location.

MELINDA MWe drove up at 4:55 and they were already closed. I called the phone number and was unable to talk to anyone or leave a message. I called the uhaul number and got a nice girl who mentioned a drop box. I found it about 1/2 block down the sidewalk.

He told me I should not have gotten out of my car but I had to because he didn't acknowledge me. This man has been rude to me before and I don't want to use this location again.
Misty WOn penalten pike st in Indpls Indiana . I had a hitch installed and when I picked up a renters trailer 5X8 one way I connected the lights and at first the lights worked! But then when I got 50 miles out of town the wiring you guys installed stop working and I drove 1700 miles with no trailer lights . This was a very bad experience for me could have had a traffic accident and possibly death . I am very disappointed in the u haul for how sloppy work was done on my 2014 Hyundai Senata I paid almost $ 400 dollars for installation and parts . I was given a warranty on my installation so I need to get my car checke out . Who do I call to resolve this ?
Efren GThe guy who rented me the truck added on the move safe insurance when online I said I didn't want it. He was rude and insulting rolling his eyes when I asked what all I was being charged for. If the tax is 7 % in Indiana then why was I charged 17,49 on 106,95? The 7 %tax on 106,95 is 7.49. I was charged an extra 10 dollars for tax. He was mad when I asked him stuff and he said that's what I said. Well I can't help it if I can't understand his language. If you're going to put a person of another ethnicity then make sure he can speak English better. I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to my family or friends with his attitude. Also it says that the rental time is 5:21 so the return for twenty four hours is 5:21 on the 5th of July not 5:00. I returned it at 5:15 so I had 6 minutes before it was late. He checked the cleanliness of the truck, the gas and made sure it wasn't in an accident and put that it was returned at 5:47. 5:47 is when he got done checking the truck not when I returned it so there is a way he can charge for another day and that's not right if your an honest business which I don't believe he is honest. I will be contacting my credit card company about these charges. Merci
Debra SI picked up truck before it was open. The furniture and utility Dollie's were not on the truck when we picked it up. We called the 1-800 customer service. They told us that these 2 charges would removed and recommended to go to another U-Haul to get these 2 items. They did not have them. Also the gas tank was near empty and they said to return it with the same amount of gas. I did what customer service said to do. I returned the truck during open hours and was charged for 2 missing dolly's and a $12 fuel charge. I put gas in to cover the 16 miles I drove. I have pictures. The person at U-Haul was very rude and condescending. I can deal with that. I feel sorry for you all to have an employee like that representing U-Haul.I read the reviews afterwards and I am not the only one to have issues at this location. I have used U-Haul several times in the past with great service. I want your company to make it right and refund these fraudulent charges. I would like to add that when I have good/excellent service, I make sure the management is notified.

sharon tI couldn't understand the guy checking in the equipment. His accent was heavy and he spoke fast.. not a good combination. Then he would get short with me because I couldn't understand him. How frustrating and aggravating !!!

Austin NExplicitly asked for a 24 hour drop off in Indy when i was renting the trailer. When I arrived at the facility it was closed and the lot was behind gated and locked security fence. When I attempted to call the number for the facility which was on my contract the phone went right to a voice mail that indicated that the voice mail box had not yet been set up. Tried multiple times to call the number on the contract before i gave up and called U-Haul's 800 number. You call center rep helpfully walked me through the steps to leave the trailer on the side of the road next to the facility.

Jose oMy pickup location was changed without my consent, and my pickup method was changed from in person to 24/7 app pickup without my consent or even any email or text letting me know. Then I showed up and was told I wasn't allowed to grab a mattress bag I had already paid for. The pickup was also moved to a location that opens later so I had to wait an hour later than my actual pickup time to get the truck and they didn't move back by drop off time or reduce the time I paid for. Awful experience overall.

Jeff NI had issues checking in with the app, so I had to wait 30 minutes for the pick up location to open. Not a big deal, but would have been an issue had I been at a pick up spot that wasn't open on Sundays.

donnie sIf I could provide zero stars, I would. This is an authorized dealer and clearly they are guided by greed. After I spend over $200 for my U-Haul because the owner charge me a day extra. However the vehicle was scheduled to be returned at 4:30 in the morning and I returned it at 6:30a. Afterwards, I was in offer a month free storage because I spent over $200 with U-Haul. I notify the owner of the offer and I signed up for it. I was then charge for one month of storage ($78). I called the owner and told him of the situation and he told me that the offer does not apply to his location because he's an authorized dealer. I showed him on the U-Haul website that his location was part of the offer. The owner, immediately rejected any compromises and said no refund will be issued because I already moved my things in the storage unit and that he could not make any adjustments to the contract. Finally, the owner also mentioned that if the payment was one day late, they immediately will auction your stuff off that is greed and shame on the owner. Pure evil and greed. Horrible place I would not recommend.
antino tMobile check in very difficult and took almost an hour to get all worked out and access to truck. Paid for an appliance dolly, was not in truck. Was told had to go back once store open to pick up. With the hour delay, travel and moving timeline, it was not feasible to drive all the way back and pick up. Very disappointed with this experience.
Heath HProvide staff with customer service training. Upon driving the 20' truck into the lot, I angled to the left to avoid hitting the attendant's personal truck parked on the right, but ended up scraping against the gate. While I was driving the truck into the lot, it was raining & the attendant was standing where I could not see him. I jumped out of the truck and apologized & briefly explained what happened. The attendant did not respond, fiddled with the gate & chain, then threw down his cigarette and went inside without speaking to me. He eventually came back & guided me in backing up the truck to the trailer (during which I again had to pivot the truck frequently to avoid hitting his personal truck). While hitching up the trailer, the attendant chose a passive-aggressive approach and said, "this time be careful," to which I responded, "I was careful." He immediately began arguing with me, insisted his truck was not in the way because he drives 26' trucks around this lot, & threatened me with a police report & insurance claim. I told him he needs to do whatever he needs to do, it was a genuine accident, no lasting damage seemed to be done as the gate was functioning, & I had only been driving the truck for 20 minutes. I will not be using this location again.

Mitchell BWe were overcharged. Drop off was changed no one would take the trailer. Had to drive further for drop off. They sold me a drop hitch on my van which made the trailer hard to pull being only inches off the road with a nose drop. Horrible experience. App said $277 was charged over $400 for one day rental. I need compensated this was ridiculous.
Mark SThe vehicle was given to me with an improper odometer reading by 27 miles. The salesperson said it could not be fixed in the system. I did not drive 27 total miles for my trip, so I was overcharged for this use. He refused to make this right. I will not return.

Ronald APicked up truck on 1/4 tank of gas so the 1st thing I had to do was go to gas station. I had so much to do, putting gas in a picked up uhal just added to it right off the bat, then it was also hard to figure how much gas was needed for our trips.
Amanda SIt took about a half hour to get my vehicle, eating in heavily to my reservation time. The place was understaffed for the demand of people there. I'd recommend to a friend they try another location in case it's faster before I recommend they do what I did.

Camille DDropping the trailer off on the road left me a little unsure about theft and being responsible for theft. Could not find directions for where to park it on the app or postings on fence. Had to call U-Haul customer service which was very helpful.
