System wide malfunction made drop off extremely difficult. Once again lost about an hour or so trying to drop off while on hold waiting to speak to someone directly about proper drop off since the U-Haul system was down. Almost missed my flight.

Bill A.I was contacted by THIS location's customer service team and got clarification on how U-haul operates for their self-pickups. This is a secure storage facility, NOT a U-haul location. U-haul uses this location and it seems they couldn't be bothered to familiarize themselves with the premises and how to get in/out of the pickup site or where trucks were located. THIS location works well as a SECURE STORAGE facility (access code required to get in and out), but not for U-haul... they didn't provide the code. Unless U-haul coordinates better with the center (give them a call?), I would stress patience and suggest getting detailed instructions from U-haul's "customer service". Maybe discontinue self-pickup at this location?

What good is having this process if it doesn't work!

Melanie L.This comment is NOT related to the location. I assumed that using the App to rent the U-Haul would be easier, more convenient and quicker. It was not. There was a lot of that needed to be done on the App and it was time consuming. If U-Haul is going to continue with this process it needs to be streamlined. Or, you need to give the renter a discount for using this process. I felt like I worked for the company for a day, it was so much. I would not consider it a convenience based on the current process. I'm also not sure if you're doing your local owners any favors. I wouldn't use the online pickup process again, or I may choose an alternate rental company.
JASON F.The online site was incredibly difficult to use. I reserved the truck with the counter pick up option, but when I logged in the morning of to enter contact info and driver's license number etc it told me I had chosen mobile site pick up. Every single time I tried to log in and used a two-factor verification, it would tell me my session had expired and then sign me out. This was regardless of if I used the link from my phone, email, or went through the main site. After finally getting logged in after about five minutes, the website went down momentarily and I had to start the process all over. Once finally logged in, it made me re-enter all of the information I had already provided and continued to log me out and make me start over. Once we received the gate code, we entered the storage area to verify the trucks serial code, only to be told we had to go back outside the gate to pick up the key. Then go back inside the gate to actually get the truck, but didn't give us the re-entry code. Luckily I was able to guess a few times from memory and get in. The entire process could've taken two minutes if the site worked properly, I was allowed to do counter pick-up, or the facility didn't require entering, leaving, and re-entering. The experience ended up taking up an hour of our six-hour rental.

It took me at least 20 minutes of attempting to get the app to work and were it not for a staff member helping out with another issue the platform caused I would have walked away completely from your store, in spite of the critical need for a moving truck. Your services were also far more expensive for a smaller truck than a recent rental of a much larger truck than a nearby Uhaul facility.

Lady in the office said she didn't think they were part of the order. She had trouble pulling up the order. While waiting she said she only had one furniture roller in stock and she let me take it. But I feel like I paid for two, I made one work though, all was good in the end.

MARCUS C.When I went to return the truck I rented after only a few hours, the Uhaul application would NOT work as it should have and I was NOT able to return the key because I could not get past step 1 on the self-return process, and it was after-hours at the drop-off location. I was then charged 2 extra days because I was unable to take the key the following day due to work. Now after having returned the key properly, I have been charged for 3 days of DOLLY use as well, when I requested NO dolly. GREAT WORK UHAUL...next time I will be using Penske or Budget truck rentals.

jordan M.Truck was damaged prior to our renting. But we were told of it and that not all of the damage was repaired. Back doors on van would not lock and back up interior mirror was not working properly. Staff did advise us prior to renting. Staff was good and helpful.

Fielding C.For me, the location was far away (not convenient) and dark at night. It was closed (I used the truck on a Sunday) and it looked clean and well-run, but I can't speak directly to that. As far as the remote check-in using the app...apparently there is a known issue when using Chrome with the location settings. My phone wouldn't recognize location (a requirement) even though location appeared "On". I had to use the browser Edge. I called and was on hold for 30 min and got transferred to tech support where I had to hold extensively as well. I figured out using a different browser on my own, but the tech support rep knew how to fix the Chrome issue but I was too deep into the process with Edge. This needs to be addressed. It was neither easy nor convenient.
Sharyn G.I actually made the reservation at a different location. When I arrived to pick it up, they didn't have a unit there. They said UHaul screwed up with the scheduling and didn't notify me that it wasn't available. The clerk had to find me another unit. Luckily it was available at East Cherokee. They were great there, but stated they have the same problems with UHaul as well. Fix your scheduling problems!

Glen C.Uhaul customer service line had numerous problems booking and maintaining my rental. Their external messaging system failed numerous times when booking: the text message and email promised to. me arrived hours after the reservation was made, making it very difficult to coordinate location. When I arrived at the location, the type of vehicle I had on reserve was not present. Due to this, I discovered that my initial reservation was canceled at the original location and booked elsewhere without notification. Thankfully, the worker at the store location was able to change my reservation to a vehicle they had on site. During the rental period, which was initially placed for four (4) hours, it became apparent that I would need to extend my rental time by an additional 36 hours. The price I was quoted for this extension over the phone was $44 in addition to what I had already paid. When the bill came due after returning the vehicle on time, the rental period was revealed to be $79 per day and extended to two (2) days instead of 36 hours. Now, I would imagine it would have been prorated since they were able to process my initial booking for four (4) hours. Instead I paid, in total, for 52 hours of use at a higher rate than was quoted to me over the phone when I called for the extension. This entire experience was exhausting and disappointing. When returning the vehicle, there was a check-box available entitled "I do not agree or understand these charges," which I checked with a note that I would like to be contacted immediately. They promised a response within 48 hours of receipt. It has now been 72+ hours and I have not received a call from a Uhaul representative to discuss these charges. Due to this experience, I am disinclined to use Uhaul for my future moves. To the customer service specialist reading this review, please reach out immediately to assist with a resolution.

john C.The lady at this location was so extremely helpful. I ended up booking storage here because it is ultimately closest to my house. Unfortunately it is not a uhaul storage facility, despite being a truck rental and return location. So I missed out on my one month free. But it is a super nice facility with reasonable rates. I tried to return my truck using the app/phone check in but was unable to figure out how to adjust my return venue, since I returned it to a different location than what I had originally planned. Luckily, the lady had explained to me that I could drop it there when I finished unloading and what I needed to do on order to drop it off.
