Always very clean and well maintained. There was one time recently when the gate wouldn't open, and the office was closed- there was still someone available to run over and help us out explaining they were having issues with the gate, which got fixed shortly after. U-Haul at a zero not the location but you haul as a company. I ordered my U-Haul well in advance of picking it up. When I went to check on it a couple days in advance I was told that I would have to go elsewhere to pick it up. So when you're booking be aware that they feel you can drive 300 km in any direction. It might be miles. And if you order blankets and a dolly they do not supply it to the vendor that you're picking it up from. They may or may not have it everything is like playing Craps in Vegas. The Location itself I would give it a 10.The girls working Had no control over the crappy situation you were in charge of. Thousands of miles away somebody else. Strings they need to get with it or you all will go under like greyhound did. If you're going to run a company from the USA In Canada make sure Canada has the product you're selling.Angela S.

I went to pick up the trailer and at no time in the process did I see the size of ball required for it. I came with 2 9/16 which is standard and this trailer took 2" so I had to drive 37km home to get another hitch. Then the manager had plowed the snow in the lot but made a berm in front of all the trailers so i had to dig it out of there. Then the trailers have no jack system, even though the trailer is fairly well balanced a person with any back trouble would never get it connected alone. You are only rental out there so forced to do business with you. How sad is thatDale W.

This whole experience was TERRIBLE. From advising us less than 24 hrs ahead that our pick up location was changed to a location 45 minutes away, to the lack of communication, confusion around when the trailer was actually available. I STILL haven't heard back from Michelle and her managers how to be recompensed for an additional 2 hr travel time, 3 hr delay, gas, vehicle wear, not to mention personal injury of my back!!! So very disappointed and frustrated with the whole thing.Philippe R.

Trailer was just very dirty outside. Not a big deal. Some dustiness inside that got our items a bit dirty (but was in plastic so not a crisis) I have rented a bigger, self-propelled unit In the past that was in overall cleaner condition so the bar was set high. The staff at the location were extremely helpful making sure I was hooked up properly and good to go. I will go back to this location if I need to rent again!Gregory B.

Ensure the equipment is ready to go. This includes that it is not frozen to the ground; the customer is not the one to problem solve how to free it; the person behind the desk knows how to hook up the trailer and doesn't make the customer do it; and ensure when it has a pain in the butt hitch as it does, that the knob turns freely and is not bent, catching on the actual trailer with every turn. I had returned to this location as I had an excellent experience with the lady behind the desk. This time it was a different woman (I believe one of the managers) and I would NOT RECOMMEND this location based on this experience.Tara-Jean W.

Firstly, I was offered a month's worth of free storage at this location, but this location was not only 200km away from the location where I was initially supposed to return the trailer (Grande Prairie, AB), but this location wasn't informed of the free month of storage, nor did they have any empty units to rent to me. This was a complete clusterf#$k. This location, and the one in Grande Prairie, worked together and with me to help sort this out, which added over 400km to my already very long journey. Reassurances need to be made, and locations vetted, before offering people something that cannot be delivered. Especially since I called the 1-800 number to make sure that the storage location, in a town of 7000 people that was 200km away from my destination, couldn't be found in a city of over 70K people where I had originally planned to drop off the trailer. I get that people in the USA may not actually understand the distances involved in rural northern Alberta, maybe the company in general should talk to the people there to figure out whether or not Uhaul's plans will actually work. Props to the girl at this location for dealing with a weird and untenable situation to make things work for me. I just wasn't happy that I had to then drive over 400km to deliver an empty trailer when things didn't work out in Peace River with the storage.Catriona I.

Your enclosed trailers do not include a crank to lift the trailer up and onto your hitch. I had to deadlift the trailer up and it destroyed my back and made my move almost impossible. It's reduclous that the trailers come like this, I'm still in agony almost a week later and had to pay for people to move my belongings as I couldn't lift anything!!!!! Not happypaul K.
The trailer was filthy, accumulated blocks of ice on the fenders covered safety lights. The tail lights were covered in dirt. I spent 45 minutes chipping ice off the trailer and cleaning it. This should have been done by the staff prior.Filip B.

I booked on the website. I went to the location I booked at and found they had Nothing for me. I went to where there was a trailer for me and they had the wrong trailer. I hooked up and found one trailer signal was not working. The attendant made every effort to figure out the problem with no success for me. His truck had everything working. I got the trailer to where I could work on the wiring and test things. I checked all of my connections and fittings - no problems. I took out the left signal lamp and found a loose connection which solved everything. I FOUND ALL PEOPLE VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL! I found the website just got things wrong...Mark W.
U-Haul Contract 97080013 we were charged for 2 extra days, when we only had the u-haul 1 extra day. we were called to advise that it would be 20 $extra + tax, we were charged 40 $+ tax stating we had it for 2 extra days. We did not. Please refund the additional fee.Teresa S.

Worst experience ever!!!! Did not have a trailer for me after I drove 2,5 hours but received texts and emails the night before stating â€œmy guaranteed pick up was readyâ€ had to load my UBOX into my truck and a tiny trailer as that's all they had plus had to leave things behind because they wouldn't fit! Most unprofessional business ever I will never use U-Haul again! They made me 1,5 hours late for my moving people which I had to pay for that time and miss a delivery I had scheduled causing me to now again have to pay another delivery charge!!! All because they are unorganized and didn't have the proper equipment for me to take my UBOX with me.... then after I get home I unwrap my tv and other belonging to find everything is damaged and my tv has been smashed! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!! I never will againsamantha D.

The trailer was dirty, the lights only worked interment & I had it booked for 4 pm they insisted I booked it for 10 am & told me at 2pm if I didnt pick it up they were giving it to someone else, that ended up costing me an extra day rental as I returned it at 3:30 the following day. Had I picked it up at 4pm as I had booked it for i would have only had it for 24 hours. The place is a total scam!!Mike H.

Equipment clean but had a broken back signal light. Girls were polite but didn't really know anything able having it fixed and I was nervous driving 7 hours with a broken rear signal light. Location was fine. I was mad because I booked online and got a call the day before that we needed to pick half our order up from 2 hours away. So a four hour round trip the day before supposed to be moving. I have a small child too and we went out of our way arranging this. I don't feel it was made up to me for picking up at this location at all.Mandy S.
