I wouldn't call the vehicle "clean" however it was a pick-up truck so the level of cleanliness wasn't a major issue, particular as the lot was unpaved and muddy. My bigger concern is the U-Haul rental process which puts the onus on the renter to do the vehicle inspection and report any existing damage. And the lack of damage inspection by the location upon returning the vehicle. I'm also unhappy with the lack of local paperwork. When I booked the vehicle online I had specifically declined the $15 insurance fee. Yet it appeared on my invoice anyway. Since all the "documentation" is done through a texted weblink and no review of the rental fees was done by the location, it's easy for U-Haul to get this cost past the renter without them knowing. Upon return there was no review of the rental, just a hand wave saying you'll be e-mailed the receipt. I'll certainly be more careful about reviewing the details of any rental I do through U-Haul again. Particularly given the insane mileage charges.Allan R.

I've rented many times from uhaul without issue but both times from this location there were extra charges I had to dispute. The first time they charged extra coverage I had declined. This past time they charged me for gas but I had refilled past the level I got the truck with then. Glad I took photos before and after because they make you prove it instead of tracking the admin work to do themselves. Definitely protect yourself!shayne G.

I booked a 15 ft truck for my moving day one month in advance. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told there were no 15 feet trucks available because they were out for repairs. When I said I needed a 15 foot truck for the move, the employee offered to call around and see if 15 foot trucks were available. However, I did not have the time for this because I was on a tight schedule. I suggest that when a truck size that is booked in advance becomes unavailable, that uhaul take the time before the client arrives to find the same sized truck at an alternative location. Having the employee offer this only after I became frustrated was not proactive and helpful service. I ended up having to do two separate runs for my move when I could have done it in one with the truck I actually reserved. As well, I was not offered any discount or apology for the inconvenience. What's the point of booking so far in advance if the truck I ordered gets taken away with no effort on the part of the company to solve the issue and provide the product?Joseph B.

Got the truck at 1/4 tank of gas. Only drove to my location and back and put a bit of gas in, but because it was slight under the 1/4 tank I got charged an extra $58,75 ($30 service fee and $28,75 in gas). None of this was explained to me and there's no way less than 1/16th of gas in a truck like that is $28.75. I was also charged the $15 safe move fee which I declined in person. When I called back the person who answered the phone said there was nothing she could do and couldn't refund me anything including the $15 safe move fee that I didn't accept. I rent from Uhaul once a month, and this is the first bad experience I've had.Joey P.

I had rented a 10' truck, but found it replaced with a 15' truck on self check out without warning. When driving in Toronto, 10' vs 15' means a significant change. It reapply made my move way more challenging. They charged me for a 10 ft truck but didn't offer any further discount or apology.Matthew C.

The website only allows you to upload images I'm Chrome, not Firefox. Getting the equipment at this location wasn't clear. I was told to get it from Phil(?) outside. I found a container with the equipment, but no one inside. Someone eventually helped me and was on the lot the whole time, but they weren't wearing a uniform. (this would have been useful, as I don't know what Phil looks like) The return step mentions instructions that I was given, to use as a guide to know how many liters to fill up the tank to the level it was when I got the truck. Since it was a 27/4 mobile reservation, I wasn't given anything. Nothing on your website lists the guide. The video didn't provide this information, either. It wouldn't been useful to have straps to tie the dollies to the inside of the truck. Instead, they moved all over the place when I was on the way back with the empty truck. Also, it wasn't mentioned what to do with my rented equipment, so I just left it in the truck.Stephen G.
We were supposed to have early pickup at 7:30am, however were given no pickup instructions. We had to wait until 9am when it opened to checkin at the counters. You need to fix your systems so this doesn't happen to other people! I believe it's because we made the booking at the Weston road location, but they didn't have the truck we needed so they transferred us here. The online system was broken as it is was still setup as a counter pickup even though the location wasn't open yet.Patrick L.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location was â€œsketchyâ€ compared to all other Uhaul locations I've been to over the years. I felt uncomfortable leaving my own vehicle unattended and returning the truck late at night.ronalda S.
A lot. First, I booked the vehicle using the 24/7 pickup system. Which implies that the vehicles are available 24/7. When I showed up to the lot at 7:45am, I discovered that I needed to wait till 9am for the location to "open". Not exactly 24/7. I also couldn't start the process until 9am. The reservation system asked many time-consuming questions about my identity, getting referrals, and many other things that could have been asked weeks ago when I booked the reservation. Thinking that once I entered this information I could access the vehicle, I was then told I need to speak with the attendant. At that point there was a sizeable line of other people also very confused about the 24/7 reservation system. By 940am I finally got my key and was able to get on with my day. Returning the vehicle with the registration system was actually something that can be done 24/7 it seems, so good for you I guess? There is a catch: the multi-step process that is required to end the reservation. I've filed taxes quicker. But hey, at least it worked as it seems to have been intended. Bonus points: I paid for moving blankets, and guess what wasn't in the vehicle when I got it? If you guessed moving blankets, you'd be correct! Recommendation: it's 2022. Vehicle-sharing has been around a LONG time. If you want to offer a service like this, maybe hire some engineers and product people who have worked for rideshare companies and make this process less frustrating. Also, if this is an issue if a specific branch not being on board, either get them onboard, or make it clear on the website that the service isn't offered. I wasted a lot of my time and the time of my friends who were assisting me with a move because of this.Peter M.
